Thanks for that. Very useful info. I guess it will be best to just try to fit it in and see how it looks then.

This (replacing bigger ring with 1x ring) should take 49.5mm original chain line to 52.5mm, which is in boost range.

According to this datasheet, it should be enough to fir new chainring in place of the old big one without any spacers to achieve correct boost chain line. Am I right?

Thanks for all the replies guys. Narrow/Wide chainring then. Now, do I need any spacers, or can I just fit it in place of the original bigger ring?

Hello all and wow! How many judgemental people here. I’m just glad that hanging people is off the menu. Bunnyhop, is it just smell that is bothering you? Would you be fine with cigarette smoke?

I just wanted to say, I am one of those people, who are sorry for selling Scandal V2 in brushed aluminium (factory pre-scratched, to prevent any further scratches) 🙂 Waiting impatiently for new one.

Try pinkbike, retrobike, shpock, gumtree, vivastreet. They all do bikes.

Yes coomber. Just pop bearings directly to the head tube.

Hi coomber. Yes, head tube is 130mm. Headset top assembly, will take another 9mm. It’s integrated heaset, so both bearings and crown race are inside the frame. Only thing “sticking out”, will be top part of headset and this is only 9mm. So 130mm+ 9mm+ stem and spacers. That’s all you will need. I hope it helps.

I’m building up my. Love shape of the frame, but not to keen on logo splashed all over it. Not very symmetrical either. Black mate heli tape done the job. Brushed Alu would be perfect, like on my Scandal. Laser etched logo was way more classy. All threads OK. Welding ok. Came with no bottle cage bolts and in plain brown box. No manuals, or any other paper work. I don’t mind all this as long, as frame cheap and strong. Will let you know more when build it up properly.

Thanks for reply. Just been on the phone with On One. Been told, that 140mm will be ok. Frame is optimised for 120mm, but anywhere from 100mm- 140mm should be fine. As for headset, I use to have FSA Orbit, CK, Cane Creek S3, 40 and curently 110 on my Salsa Bandito. I’m finding Cane creek designe and durability, superior to other brands. CK is good, but 110 better. 😉
If you looking to get headset by AL1967, and don’t want to buy whole headset (BAA0092K), to address the upper, then you can get just the upper bit. Part number BAA0094K. I hope it helps.
Funny, now when I’m writing it, frame arrived! Hell yeah!!!

Hi. Thanks AL1967 for headset advice. Just ordered Parkwood frame and don’t really like FSA headsets. Big fan of Cane Creek. For now riding Scandal v2, with Mixer smoothie. Not the best headset ever either. Can someone confirm, that frame is designed for 120mm travel fork? Or maybe 120mm is max travel, and design is for 100mm? I know it’s bit late now, to ask for it, once I’ve ordered frame, but still better ask now then later. According to thumbs up rule, will frame take 100mm- 140mm fork, or 80mm- 120mm? Thanks.
