Never tried anything but Lyriks, been faultless for me for the last 3 years. TFT worked some magic on them to make an even plusher ride. Hora has a brand new set for sale I think, cheap too.

24/36 & 11 – 32 for all my riding. Tough at first but you get used to it.

benji, I would'nt put anything other than a shock with platform damping on a single pivot. You'd be better off sending the shock to be Pushed.

Firstly NEVER buy a hope!!! They are 1 Loud & 2 Crap!

You have one of the best hubs around in my opinion for durability vs weight, the issue you have is the same one I had and your LBS may be correct. The way I over come it was to switch to the RWS Skewer, gives loads more tension than a standard QR. Another tip which will help is to release the chain tention when fitting i.e. place the wheel in the drop outs, remove the chain from the front rings, centre the wheel and tighten the QR, replace chain onto front rings. This ensures the wheel is dead straight in the dropouts as sometimes there can be side loading from the chain tension.

The only other thing it may be is the bearings, which will mean you will have to make a tool for the inner female star ratchet removal (Unless you have already bought one). The cheapest way to get hold of these tools is to buy a spare star ratchet for £12 and weld it on to a M20 Bolt. Change all the bearings and it'll be sorted.

I've been using Azonic CF1's for 3 years now with no issues, handles Cwmcarn DH & free ride section quite well for how I ride (I weigh around 210 Fully kitted up).

DH racing is not your average riders DH / trail Centre outing and as such any "DH" rated carbon bar should be fine.

I had IT Band Syndrome, spent a fortune on a sports Physio with absolulty no results. A recomendedation by knee surgion was the "Pat Strap", this holds the ITB in place and stops the rubbing which causes the pain. Cost about £9 delivered from the states, problem went away within 4 weeks and has not returned since.

I use the same except 16mm threaded bar is my tool of choice. Also where the copper bits are, I use a cheapo 30mm seat post cut down that passes through the washers. The inner diameter of the headset cups are 30.5mm, and as such keeps the headset parrallel and allows you to install both cups at once.

Rode Penhydd on Sunday for the first time in a while, it's pretty wrecked. Looks like the ice has done a good job of destroying the trail, braking bumps everywhere. Very muddy too, and the Green Run is closed for forestry work.

    Cwmcarn this weekend me thinks.

Took my ski boots on squeezy jet at chrimbo with no trouble, boots work out at about 5kg's per pair. You'd be better off getting the proper boot bags though as they fit in the standard hand luggage size thingy's.

Oh, Im off back to Andorra again in 2 weeks

    Chain Wear[/url]

    Konastoner

How many miles had the chain done before changing? If it was older than the chainset then the 200 / 250 miles won't matter, the old chain would have accellerated the wear and the tooth profile of the whole chainset.
