Dont bother with pre-built stuff like Dell etc as the upgrade path will be limited and as you get into 3d stuff you will find you will need to upgrade both CPU and GPU. Find a reputable pc builder local to you and go from there. Alternatively look at Facebook Market Place or Ebay for complete built systems, 32gb Ryzen 7 5700x with a 3060ti / rx6800 graphics card shold be had for around £500 2nd hand.

Keep an eye out on Hotukdeals for complete systems too.

For me I see it very different, Highway code is explicit on always give priority to the right and the vehicle behind has duty of care to prevent accidents.
JV should have anticipated the left turn and braked especially as the silver car was indicating left. Its clear to me he knew what was happening / unfolding and had no intention of preventing it, using the black car pulling out as a distraction is just an excuse for his own failure to anticipate. From the cars perspective the cycle way is obscured by the barriers, no signage and could easily be mistaken for roadworks. If you stop the video at 12 seconds JV has now merged with the road and behind the car therefore the cycle lane protection is no longer in force, JV is at fault and TBH a bit of an arse for publicising this. However he is a journo after all and thrives off controversy

Hmm…..lets see how long Mr Lewis would last if he gave up his gazillions and lived in a cave (Truely Carbon Neutral). Maybe a week? I’d pay to watch that on Discovery Channel.

Shame he’s sold out really, his early stuff was quite good. Loads of anomalies in his new series, things magically appearing such as dry firewood in wet conditions and really bad continuity wherby hes nuts deep in a river one scene then comparatively dry in the next.

    What is the subject?

Carbon capture and storage (blog ramble). So somafunk isn’t far off the mark given that the Govt. recently canned the £1bn that was going to fund a commercial scale UK project.

OP search for TAL Telescope on ebay. These are Russian made telescopes which go really cheap but optically are very good and are rated as good / one of the best quality starter scopes. They usually come in at 50 – 80 quid and come in 4 or 6 inch.

Here’s one I recommend, free mini bus into St Emilion too! Ive been going 2 or 3 times a year for the last 6 years for wine & work purposes so know the area well. I really rate Bordeaux as a city, the vibe is chilled and relaxed with culture in abundance. Libourne has a direct rail connection.

I have the 3TB Seagate version of above, the Seagate app works great on both IOS and Android. MKV’s have no support yet though.

I’ve just streamed a ripped 650mb dvd to my Laptop here in France and it took 25 mins to download using Tappin.

I have set up various accounts that I have shared with family as a cloud sharing device which works really well. As a cheap NAS (£105 Maplin) I cannot fault it.

    I like caravans too

    As long as they
    1 have a yearly MOT
    2 Pay road tax
3 Pay rates because they are another form of accommodation a pain in the ass
    4 keep off the roads between 08.00 – 20.00

A bit like roadie debate then!

Why wont people realise that the tourism industry via caravans in the UK is worth billions, can this country can afford to loose that kind of revenue? anf what would be the substitute? Leaglise Canabis I bet

*Yes I do have a caravan (Tourer) but its permanently sited, about 20 minutes from Brechfa if you must know 🙂

Bordeaux is a great city and is well worth a visit, I also recommend a day or two on the outskirts, if you get a chance visit St Emilion and its surrounding Chateau’s. It’s a fantastic place, only small but there’s loads of history there, plus the wine there is exceptional (And a LOT cheaper than over here!).

My big tip would be to follow the Dordogne Gironde West from Bergerac and Castillon to Bordeaux, this is known as Les Beaux Villages and is very picturesque.

I have local contacts in St Emilion that do wine tours etc if your interested.

Molgrips, have you tried contacting a Tuning / Remap company (Not a VAG Specialist)? They interrogate and rewrite ECU’s and as such they should be able to create an ECU code from your chassis number (Which gives the Vehicle Specification). As long as your ECU is good they can re-code it correctly, oh and you may have more performance / economy too.

The quick way would be to email one of the sponsors on any VW / Audi Forum that provides remapping services.

Ive had mine in many guises, stock through to this: –

In its heavier / current form its a great playbike, with effort it climbs ok and totally rips going down. In the stock form its very capable but let down by an inferior fork and shock. I highly rate the frame as a platform to build on.

I’ve been made redundant 3 times in the last 15 years and I feel for you, It’s tough.

Some tips I would give is: –

    A) Get your CV up to date and make sure it’s in top shape (No more than 2 pages, good use of bullet points and small statements of successes and initiatives), get it reviewed professionally (If you know someone in HR then use them!) Also create a cover letter / Personal statement, this can fill in detail to assist your CV and application.

1 Do your homework on local companies, research who are the good / best employers in your area.

2 Never forget the saying “its who you know not what you know”. employee referrals are a big benefit to employing organisations and employing referrals will save agency fees (Which can be up to 25% of the starting salary).

3 If you can try and not go through recruitment agencies, they have strict and stringent selection criteria which can be detrimental to your application.

4 See what free training is available and go for it, improve yourself at every opportunity.

5 Above all, stay positive and show initiative!

I hope this helps and good luck!

I still say a chairlift is the way to go, a lot of learning can be had from watching others ride the trail from above. A chair lift gives without doubt the best view for lines, speed of attack and all round trail planning. Plus its more fun than sitting in a sweaty van 😆

As for cost, its about commitment and not throwing good money after bad. Longevity is also the key providing more local jobs (installation, Maintenance and servicing). Also a chairlift can service a hell of a lot more people per hour than a van can.

    There’s even a website selling 2nd hand ones (Have a look at 2.3-4258): – 2nd hand chairlifts

As one famous actor once said, build it and they will come.
