I have an 11 month old who wouldn’t sleep for more than 1.5 hours and it was taking its toll on me.

My wife got a “sleep consultant” which I thought was the biggest pile of shite going and a complete waste of £250.

Baby now sleeps 7pm to 7am every night with no wake ups.

Without question the best value for money I ever spent.

Pretty sure that’s who we used

Edit – did not involve cry it out

Does Not look like off duty copper. Looks more like close protection officer to me.

Footage of the assassination is pretty clear.

Also suggestions of Franz Ferdinand are just silly.

Russia will do nothing to Turkey as they amongst other reasons have already said this is not a state sponsored act.

I have always had success using a kids toy website called “wicked uncle”.

You can select age and gender and it gives suggestions of suitable presents.

It’s possible my niece and nephew were just polite and thought the gifts were shite but they seemed to like them.

From memory they own 51% of Tiso (who own Alpine).
Last time I was in an Alpine they seem to be focusing more on road bikes these days.
I’m sure that won’t be the case for all branches (glentress etc).

    Gumtree!

Loads of folk sell winter tyres with only one season usage before changing car.

Lots of hardly used tyres if you don’t mind 2nd hand

You haven’t really suggested how or why it could be a warranty?
The differing materials are not relevant.

Sounds like you fitted them without doing so tight enough. FYI it’s pretty hard work to over tighten a pedal into a crank to the point where you strip it. Not sure what the correct torque but it’s pretty firm!

Only way it could be a warranty is if the pedal was pre fitted when purchased.

I guess I’m asking if the above links are good enough value for money…

Will never happen. I hate to be pessimistic but along with the comments above re the F.C. I was involved in a proposal from a local oil company who offered the F.C. A large sum of money to develop the trails at Pitfichie. The F.C. Did not even respond to the (repeated) offer.

For whatever reason the F.C. Have nothing but contempt for cyclists in Aberdeen. I suspect it’s because they are essentialy tree farmers and not interested in the leisure side of things that forests offer.

I used to work for a trek dealer that sold them for trek.
    They were generally very good.
The odd ringer was there though. It will depend a bit on the bike an 18″ remedy is likely to be more used than a 22″ for example.

I saw some that looked like they were in such good condition that I wondered if trek had sent the wrong bike as they appeared new.
I also saw a few that needed allot of TLC.

    Can you view before purchase?

I used a good site called called wickeduncle or something. Presents for kids categorised by age. Most helpful for me!

I have worked in a chain shop previously. Margin on bikes would average at 30% (a touch more for spesh and trek etc a touch less for boutique).
Closer to 50% if you are also the importer (Evans and Norco for example) but the extra overhead (storing massive orders) and min order levels etc pretty much swallows up the “extra” margin.

I would guess halfords are making a load more on Boardman etc.

Seeing a cheap invoice from Trek does not mean much – they certainly did good staff deals so perhaps that was it?

FSA Pig while not exactly high end is usually a touch bigger on the tolerances

Try a few headsets. Some might have a better / bigger tolerance for your frame.
My experience of mojo frames QC is not exactly great though – might be worth dropping them an email and seeing what they say.

They ride very differently. Look at the angles and lengths of the bike they are hugely different.

If it’s up to the shop to prove it was not faulty how would they do this?
I suspect by asking the manufacturer who are saying (I think?) it’s crash damage.
The shop don’t really need to do anything in that case. The OP is not exactly vehemently denying it was crashed…

Or does the shop need to hire a materials specialist or something?

I had tune hubs many moons ago. Complete and utter shit. Snapped hub shell body’s and freehubs regularly.
Not sure if it’s changed but the importer at the time was poshbikes and where horrible to deal with. They replaced the broken part but charged for labour and bearings that they damaged removing.
I couldn’t do it myself as it required specific tools they wouldn’t sell me.

I would never run them again as imo they are the lightest for a reason – nothing more than ornament pieces.

I ran DT Hubs too – they never skipped a beat.

To me rims are disposable items like tyres or tubes. It seems like a lot of money to spend on something that will only last a year when I can get a nukeproof rim from CRC for £15

I guess if I had a crazy amount of cash and nothing better to do with it I would get carbon.

Do those people who run them and like the stiffness thing have a problem with “flex” on alloy?

Also to the people on this thread who regularly tighten your pedals… Are you kidding?

Checking your bolts before every ride? Seriously?

Utter tosh. Pedal falling off is caused by one thing only – mechanic poorly building a bike.
I have a load of lbs experience and if you came into the shop I worked in with a fallen off pedal the fix would be simple.
    Check for impact damage.
Check it’s the original pedal fitted by shop.
Ask customer if they had adjusted/removed pedal.

If none of those were likely then the store replaced the damaged goods and the mechanic had the piss ripped out of him for being shite.

Crazy to suggest it but… Has he asked the shop to explain why it needs replaced?
Most shops are not out to rip you off!
I suspect hub service required but wheel out of true and nipples corroded/seized. Rear hub bearing running surface pitted.

Easier for shop and cheaper for customer to get new wheels.

Either that or it’s the Al Capone of bike shops and they are robbing your mate blind.

If scratches on tubes are so bad then a stealth dropper is a great idea!
No more uppy downy cable to scratch my bike!
    Best get the drill out…

Running less than 30 makes the bike feel sluggish and make damaging rims too easy also if tubeless you can roll the tyre off the rim.
    Might just be me though?

I see rims as disposable items like tubes though so perhaps it’s just me

I guess it depends on what you riding but if I had carbon rims I don’t think I would run under 30psi (I run more than that anyway).
If you are hard on rims then I would check out nukeproof. They are about £15 on crc. No rims bombproof but it won’t hurt the wallet as much!

How much over 20 psi? Unless by 10 psi or so I would suggest that is your issue.

C – locked out but with an impact will blow through travel.
T – blows through all travel
D – really easily blows through all travel.

Having worked in a couple of bike shops and knowin the margins I think a living wage would be hard to pay for most local stores.
Even multi nationals would find it hard to pay over £7 and rising to £9? Not possible.

It’s not even be living wage that’s the whole issue but the knock on effect. Pay your shop staff that wage fine but how much extra can you pay the key holder/assistant manager/manager.

Soon enough everyone wants/needs more and it all falls apart.

I would give the shop a time limit to resolve and explain you have had enough. Say 5 days to have completely resolved and discounted or full refunds and kit back.
