Last three occasions to USA never asked for paper version. Going again in June, I will take paper version just in case.

Did it a few years ago on my HT. I had beautiful day like you but a lot more walkers than you appear to have had. On my way down, to make it more interesting I used the drainage ditch at the side of the trail. This was great until I hit a drop and went over the handlebars. Got back on the proper trail after that!
    Great photos.

Bought a pair of Meindl Responds from Cotswolds yesterday. Very impressed with the care they take in measuring your feet to get the right fit. The Meindls I got are very light and very comfy. Hopefully they will be a good summer boot for trekking and low level fell walking, only time will tell.

I have a Tiguan and I’m really pleased with it, in fact it’s the second one I’ve had. Tiguan Match 2.0TDI Blumotion. I tow a caravan and you hardly know the caravan is attached. Superb motorway cruiser and with the back seat down you can easily get a couple of bikes in it.

If you have any more questions the above site is worth a look. I’m sure there are a few members from Australia on it.

I’d given up on jeans, and then I tried some Rohan jeans. Excellent fit and good quality.

They’ve started doing woodland weddings on Cannock Chase. The Follow the Dog Trail goes through the middle of the area where they do the weddings.

Do the people who moan about Top Gear actually watch it or are their views based on what they read in the Daily Mail or other informative sources of news. There are many programmes I could moan about but once watched I just don’t bother with again and certainly would not want to comment on them. I feel many of the moaners secretly enjoy the programme or why watch it.

If you want something that will last and can be left outside you won’t go far wrong with Kettler. Dawsons of Clitheroe quite often do good deals on it.

Yes, Denon amp with a variety of speakers. Fantastic sound. Last night watched Les Miserables, not everyone’s cup of tea but I like it and the sound on 5.1 from a blu-ray is better than the cinema.

Go to bed 11.00pm most nights, wake up on occasions, headphones on, listen to R4 Extra or World Service, wake up 5.00am listen to R5, at 6.00am listen to R4, at 7.00am get up.Have been following this pattern for years.

Very impressed with all the frog spawn. I have lots of newts in my pond but have not had any frog spawn since I built the pond 12 years ago. I have a few frogs in the pond every summer but no spawn. Any suggestions as to why?

Keep it and also charge those who watch iplayer on their tablets, laptops etc. six television channels, six radio stations that include R4 R6 Music and R4 Extra not forgetting R5. All this and no adverts, I would pay more.

Perhaps not the coolest scene in cinematic history but back in 1965, in Cinema scope, Julie Andrews coming over that Alpine hill in the Sound of Music.

Well it has to be Star Wars, I’ve tried a few times to watch it all the way through and have not made it yet.

Mummified cat in one of the walls of our farm house. At the time we thought it must have got trapped during the building of the house, however I have since learned cats were bricked up in walls, many years ago, to ward off evil spirits!

Since we’ve had a few derogatory remarks about Audi drivers I thought I’d put this on. He is the ultimate Audi driver and he does do quite a bit of merging into other lanes. It has probably been on before but always worth watching again

I have no answer for the aches and pains but please don’t think your mountain biking has to end at 50, 60, 70 or even 80. I’m 63 in April and I ride twice a week with a 65 year old, 79 year old and an 80 year old. We regularly do the Dog and Monkey on Cannock Chase and we haven’t found an off piste trail, on the Chase, we can’t do. My average time for the Dog is usually around 44 minutes and for the Dog and Monkey just under two hours. Injuries the older we get take longer to heal but my advice is stick at it for as long as you can.

It is an amazing film. The long lingering shots, giving you time to look at the scenery, so different from today’s films. The music by Simon Turner also works really well with the film.

The one way system in Kendal.

On the Saturday after Christmas I had to travel up the M6 to Kendal. Although very busy the traffic kept moving until I got to just passed Preston when all the traffic crawled for the next five miles adding approximately 35 minutes to my journey time. The reason, about 50 metres of bollards forcing all traffic into two lanes. The reason for the bollards a few short sections of crash barrier had been left on the central reservation. No excuses this should have been moved for the holiday period. On my return later that day the queue was still stretched back to Preston all because of these few bollards.

I did ten years ago, the easy way, on a raft. The Grand Canyon is so much more than just big water, wilderness, fantastic scenery, wildlife and spectacular night skies. I had always wanted to do the Grand Canyon ever since seeing a film of the first British team to go down it in 1969 led by Chris Hawksworth. Unfortunately it was not until I was 50, long past my canoeing ability for that sort of water that the opportunity came. Thoroughly recommend it, trip of a life time.

When you consider how much coffees, cakes etc. cost plus a couple of newspapers in the public areas the cost of the lounges doesn’t work out too bad plus you usually get free internet in the lounges.

I think it would depend on the airport. Manchester I find is a very pleasant airport and it is quite easy to get away from the crowds. Heathrow I would always use a lounge. Birmingham I don’t use a great deal so don’t know it very well, but the Aspire lounge is probably the best lounge I’ve been in and would be very tempted to use it even if I had to pay.

I used the Aspire Lounge last year, before a flight to India, and was very pleased with the service and food. There were a few people in the lounge but was still pleasant and quiet. I get entrance to a number of airport lounges, free of charge, through my bank account.

First saw them live at Bingley Hall, Stafford, just after they released Animals, and then Earl’s Court after the release of The Division Bell. I’ve been to see Roger Waters three times most recently his Wall Tour. They are with out doubt the best concerts I have attended for the quality of the sound and the overall concert experience.

Act of God is not a legal term just a way of explaining the insurance company is not going to pay out. Something to do with wind speeds if they are above a certain speed it’s declared a storm and nobody is to blame, everybody claims off their own insurance.

Most of those having a go at it are just trying to make a name for themselves or think they are being particularly cool. Not sure about the new version, have not really heard it yet, but the original was a great song. If you really look at the lyrics, yes they don’t make a great deal of sense but that goes for most songs, does it matter?

Will those the money is for tell Bob to keep his money because they think the song is awful and patronising?
Did Robtel Neajai Pailey suggest how she will raise the money or is any charity fund raising patronising?
