If Labour had put forward some realistic policies and the promise of another referendum I might have considered voting for them, however I remember the 70’s so they have definitely lost my vote.

I don’t think anyone has mentioned Adblue yet. Don’t all new diesels with Euro6 engines use Adblue? The recent reports regarding diesel cars producing more pollution than buses and wagons is because buses and wagons have been using Adblue for sometime. Any Adblue experts on here know how effective it is?

Jeremy was certainly getting some in depth views on the vegetable crisis today, really riveting stuff, however never mind Simon and Garfunkel not getting their lettuce, the problem is Jeremy has now got bunnies up and down the country panic buying. Peter Rabbit running out of Tesco with a basket full of lettuces with Mr Mcgregor in hot pursuit and the Flopsy Bunnies selling cabbages from the back of a van at a service area on the M6.

64 going on 65 and have listened to Nick Cave for years. Have seen him live three times, always gives a tremendous performance. Must also mention Warren Ellis, fantastic musician who has worked with Nick Cave for many years. God is in the House is possibly my favourite song.

I’m a big fan of anything that involves Andy Hamilton, Revolting People and Old Harry’s Game being especially good. Old Harry’s Game is being repeated on R4 Extra at the moment 11.30pm tonight.

I have a friend who does it. He found a Bronze Age Palstave Axe head, 2500 to 3500 years old a few weeks ago. It’s in Birmingham Museum at the moment.

Really enjoyed it, way better than many interpretations of the Sherlock Holmes character and great Sunday night entertainment.

Tip – Don’t leave food in your car over night. The bears will rip the boot open and spread the contents all over the car park. It happened to three cars while we were there despite warnings posted everywhere. I can only repeat what everyone else says fantastic place. Do the walk to Glacier point where you get great views of the park.

Bought some from M&S yesterday £8.00, selling it off at half price. They were letting you sample it, tasted very nice, though I’m no expert on port.

I had my Tiguan done three days ago and have not noticed anything different other than the fan stayed on for a while when I stopped after a 6 mile journey this morning. The first time I’ve ever noticed the fan stay on after switching the engine off on this vehicle.
I got half the valet, inside spotless, couldn’t do the outside because the jet wash was frozen. Gift of key ring, coffee mug and pen in a presentation box. One compartment in box empty don’t know what should have been there. Did I hear correctly that in the States owners were given $8000?
My letter, from VW, said the work done was guaranteed for the “service life of the vehicle” though no one at VW could tell me what that means!

Tried Win 7 driver and quite a few drivers for a variety of printers similar to mine but no luck. Do I stay with Canon or try another make?
Important that it will do a decent photograph print up to A4.

Beautiful country, really friendly people. Musandam Peninsula is definitely worth a visit. When we were there we watched the smugglers in their high powered speed boats, loaded with goodies, setting off to Iran each night. Dhow cruise to Telegraph Island, spectacular scenery. Deserts, mountains and coast all worth exploring. Felt safe wherever we went.

I changed to Windows 10 about three months ago and really liked it. My rather ancient laptop gained a new a new lease of life. Only problem was my printer wouldn’t work but with a bit of messing about I finally got it going. However since a big update last week my printer will not work. Windows 10 has removed the driver from the laptop and nothing I do will get it working again. the Canon support site says there will be no drivers for my machine and an email from them told me the only solution was to buy a new printer, they have some good offers at the moment I was told!
Granted my printer is about eight years old but was working just as well as when it was new and I have £30 of new ink cartridges for it. My even more ancient Epson scanner wouldn’t work but Epson had a new driver for it and it is now working fine. Looks like a perfectly good printer is to end up in the recycle bin.

Worst driving I have ever seen was a golf gti overtaking me on a corner with a traffic island, I was doing 30 it was going at least 70+ went around me and had to serve so hard to avoid the traffic island it went onto two wheel and was inches from rolling down an embankment, somehow he got away with it…

May have been the best bit of driving you have ever seen!

Sound not an issue as I have a Denon amp. with surround sound speakers. I also have Talktalk TV box which works well for the Iplayer etc. So focus will be on picture quality which at present seems to be pointing to Sony or Panasonic 55 inch.

Thanks for comments and advice, the chart does look helpful. Always had Sony up to now but am looking at Panasonic, 50 or 55 inch.

If I was leader of the opposition I would hope my PA would have a copy of my diary, would have booked my tickets in advance and made sure I had reserved seats. If a PA can’t manage that then there is a question mark regarding his/her ability. Personally I would have far more faith in a leader of this country paying the extra and sitting in first class than choosing to sit on the floor!

My son started queuing at about 11.30am yesterday morning at Ashford, by 3.00pm he had got to Folkstone where he got off the motorway had something to eat at a local Morrison’s. Then using his satnav got to Dover using minor roads, rejoined the queue in Dover about 5.00pm. He got on the 8.00pm ferry.

Unfortunately you are probably right, the headteacher will be sat at her/his desk thinking of ways to get extra money. Most schools now are virtually independent, budgets are extremely tight and hardly cover staff costs so for resources it will come down to squeezing every penny the school can get out of parents. Have you discussed it with the parent governor, though they may not exist for much longer?

Brambles, I hate nettles. I take the secateurs out and cut the brambles back on some of the local trails, but at this time of the year it’s amazing how quickly they grow.

Since we are still members of the EU until Article 50 is declared and then it will be two years until we are out, why has our commissioner resigned and David Cameron not attending the summit today?

…Let’s hope we stay together even though we may be entering the Dark Ages!
    I think it’s too late.

I’ve spent most of my life hoping for a properly federated United Kingdom, but it’s obvious Scotland will always be treated like a possession or a colony in any relationship. There’s been very little respect shown to our parliament and quite a lot of Jockophobia in recent years. Hence I’m for out of the UK.

I fear for England because it seems the strongest motivator in the leave vote was pure racial hatred dressed in politer words. European history shows that doesn’t take long for that to morph into something even nastier. I truly hope I’m wrong there, but as long as the media is controlled by the current mob, there’s not much chance of change.

Well let’s face it you haven’t shown much respect for the British parliament and I think much of the name calling has been both ways. Why not put some SNP candidates up for election in the north of England I think you would stand a good chance of being elected and England eventually could be a “possession” of Scotland. I’d be happy with that.

The last time we were part of a European Union was in the Roman Period. England eventually got its independence and went into the Dark Ages, during this time immigration increased as people from Northern Europe saw England as away of improving their lives. There was much resistance to this uncontrolled immigration but eventually under strong leadership OF AN IMMIGRANT CONQUEROR the various communities began to see themselves as one nation. By the 15th Century England, it could be said, began its rise to become a world power. So if history is to be repeated we have about a thousand years to go and England will be great again.
Slightly modified your post for accuracy.

Also when was England a great power?

We may be thinking of a different leader but I agree both were immigrants.
I said England began its rise to be a world power, I did not forget about Scotland its just Scotland and England got together a bit late and without Scotland’s help England would never have become a world power. Let’s hope we stay together even though we may be entering the Dark Ages!

Have spoken to three people today who now regret voting out. One because they thought £350 million was going to be spent on the NHS, another because they are upset that Mr Cameron has resigned and the third has just changed his mind!

How many more people are just beginning to realise that voting out may not have been such a good idea?

I was about to buy a new laptop due to it running slow and generally being a pain to use. Installed Windows 10 to try as it couldn’t make things worse. Still using same laptop, Windows 10 brought it back to life. I would definitely recommend it.
