Will this include wagons overtaking another wagon and hogging the middle lane for two or three miles while they do it?

I grew up on a farm during the 1960’s and never saw a badger. Now dead badgers at the side of the road are far more common than dead hedgehogs. We never had TB on the farm either.

Have you got the latest version. This use to happen to me but since downloading the 2012 edition it works really well, in fact no problems since downloading it.

This series is excellent. So much in it on different levels. Yes Thomas Thomas was great. Was there a Wizard of Oz theme in the previous episode?

I think you’ll find that the peeling in the lid is quite normal.
I’ve had a Weber Kettle for going on 10 years and have been really pleased with it. I also have the Weber gas BBQ for taking away camping. If you want the best bargains buy in the USA in September they virtually give them away!
Cost of the flight eats into what you save though.

Fantastic river, I would imagine it’s difficult catching it in just the right conditions. Going down a grade 4/5 river the only thing better than mountain biking, unfortunately I’m not up to paddling rivers like that any more – too old!

I tried a 29er and two days later had one on order. I’m not saying it is better than a 26er it’s just that the 29er suited me better. It felt more comfortable and was certainly quicker over a variety of local trails compared to my 26er.

“What about those that lived through and lost dear family members in the terrorism, fear and genocide which was the regime of pol pot and the khmer rouge after they were thrown out. She led the government which supporte their seat in the UN, sent british troops to train them and funded them. Did she cry for all those who suffered and as a result. Did she show any compassion, symapthy or respect to those who lost close family members? Yet you demand her family are shown some kindness? Are you serious? Every monster is someones child.”

Sorry I’m not sure what your’e saying here. Are you supporting Pol Pot and the Kyhmer Rouge?
I’m not “demanding” I just feel there is no need for the hate language.

Another forum I’m on (not a bike forum) has decided, out of respect for her family, to take out political comments. Not sure I agree with that but I do feel some of the hate comments on here are totally out of place. Surely you should be able to put a point of view without lowering yourself to such hateful language.
I would also like to point out that those who keep quoting the north of England as been devastated by Thatcher should be more specific in the areas they are talking about as it was not the all of the north.
It would be interesting to see how many of those making the hate comments actually lived through the 70’s and saw exactly what it was like then. Perhaps they should put their age next to their post!

Looks a fantastic ride and great photos. I grew up on a farm near Killington and know the Lune Valley really well. Though most of my time in those days was taken up canoeing the Rawthey and Lune. Have you a map of your route online?

What worries me is not that it is horse meat but that we don’t know what part of the horse. The product has probably been processed to such an extent that it could be any part not just what we would call meat. The best way to be sure of what you’re eating is buy from a local butcher so you see what you’re getting.

Didn’t do any mountain biking but saw lots of trails with potential and I know there are companies that do mountain biking trips of different levels of difficulty.
It is a great country especially for wildlife. Tortuguero on the Caribbean coast is a fantastic place to visit, no mountain biking, and access only by boat or plane. The south east coastline on the Caribbean has lots of trails but unsure about use for mountain biking as some are in nationa parks.
The Arenal Volcano area is another great area with lots of unsurfaced roads and while I was there did see lots of mountain bikes on these roads.
The cloud forest in the interior is high up and the two roads up are long and rough and in the wet season can get very muddy requiring 4×4 to get there. There is a trail down from Monteverde, main town in the cloud forest, to the Arenal area that is only used by groups on horses. I’m sure this might have mountain bike potential.
The Pacific coastline is much drier than the interior and eastern side and probably has the better trails for mountain biking.

Have you thought of a VW Tiguan?
Drives like a Golf but has all the advantages of a 4×4. You can get in 2wd which instead of 40mpg gives 50 mpg.

You will find that they only give you enough energy to carry the full can/sachet into a trail but not enough to carry the empty can out. Evidence can be seen in the number of empty cans, bottles and sachets found at the sides of our trails.

I’ve had mine nearly 12 months now and I’m very pleased with it. Great if you travel a lot as much more convenient that a laptop or Ipad.

Thirteen miles on Cannock Chase doing Follow the Dog, the Monkey and some cheeky trails. Pity there are still sections closed on the Monkey, about time the FC pulled their finger out and got it open again.
Just back from doing FTD again this morning and some other cheeky stuff. Very busy up there this morning.

Cheapest inner tubes are the ones some riders leave at the side of the trails. Cost of a punture repair kit and you have a decent inner tube. Plus you will have that wonderful warm feeling of helping to tidy up the trails.
