I’ve got the One Up.
Works.
Lives in my bum bag with a tiny Leatherman.
I considered grinding a couple of notches in the Leatherman pliers to do the job. But didn’t.
I did run a Scorpion S Enduro on the back last winter after the R wore out over summer. Went to a Trail S on the front then & put the Enduro S on the back.
They both rolled well & no punctures on the S, 1 snake bite on the R. Main reason I sacked Maxxis off.
I did get an Enduro M for the rear, but that was really shit. The revised version looks a lot better.
Currently I’m running a Continental Argotal front & Kryptotal R rear & they’re brilliant.
The answer is DT rims.
A mate got a Bontrager wheel when he smashed his original wheel on a boys trip. It took 4 people to get a Michelin DH tyre on it. He’s just taken it to a shop to get another one put on & they had a nightmare getting it seated.
I’ve got the same tyre on & off a DT rim with no levers.
I had a Breville/Sage Barista Express since they first came out. Must be over twelve years ago.
In that time it needed O rings replacing a couple of times. Cost $2 and look it up on the tube.
I get beans from our restaurant supplier, so they’re always consistent & I seldom need to adjust my method now.
2 years ago I replaced it with the Dual boiler & grinder combo. Added a bottomless filter & a nice, heavy tamper. Now I can have a flat white made before my toast has popped up.
My Lezyne Micro Floor Drive has been transferred to the half frame bag of my gravel bike.
A One Up 70cc now resides next to the bottle cage on my Banshee Rune.
We’re on our second Samsung washer/dryer. The first one lasted over 10 years, so when it died (I couldn’t be bothered fixing it) we just bought another one.
Towels & sheets take a bit more drying after the cycle, but I probably overload it.
Only issue is the drain pump needed a twiddle with a screw driver once.
The zip up one is a bit shorter.
The pull over is more suited to rafting the Franklin.
I’ve asked about some more rider styled gear, but ladies wear is the money maker.
Smitten
My mate Carl makes these ones.
Yes, it is expensive, but you won’t find better.
He’s a long time member of the wedsnday night, South Hobart ride and a total legend.
I’ve had okay results using flexible epoxy to fix 5:10’s. Better than Shoe Goo.
More importantly, choose pedals without overly long pins helps them live longer.
I’m halfway through servicing my plastic Burgtecs.
Getting the bushing out is proving a challenge.
If I paid full price for the service kit, it’d barely be worth it.
Nice one @oikeith.
I did manage to put a hole in the bottom on my first ride & a few more since.
Need to find sail tape to patch it again.
I know you guys can send your Endura gear back to get fixed, but we can’t down here.
The Marzocchi coil kit should be cheaper than a Smashpot. Probably
I was running a Z1 coil on my Banshee Rune & picked up a second hand Factory 36 for the Grip 2 damper for it.
When my rear bomber coil died, Fox gave me a new Float X & I ended up running the 36 to save the best part of a kilo. It was over 18kg with Michelin DH tyres.
I didn’t get on with a bar bag.
I use an Ortlieb half frame bag. Heaps more room & easier to access while you’re riding.
I did need to add a Topeak alt bottle cage must to drop the seat post cage a bit to a full size bottle under it.
That knocking sensation isn’t supposed to be there.
Mine went back 3 times under warranty because of it & the third time they gave me a new Float X to replace it. The DHX was out of stock.
I’ve been so impressed with the Float X that I replaced my Bomber coil fork with a Factory 36.
My first Proframe was a medium & the chinguard was pretty close to my face. The helmet did it’s job the way it should when I did crash.
Now I’ve got a large with the fatter cheek pads and a bit more space to the chinguard. Probably what I should have got all along.
The new Proframe RS looks bloody good.
