My daughter’s broken both hers – both radial head fractures. First one she was quite timid with, despite docs & physio telling her to keep it moving, kept it in a sling for first few weeks Took most of the season and off season to recover & get full movement back
Second time she had loads of physio, & exercises & raced Whistler 6 weeks after the break.

I had 2 separate delayed flights this summer. Ryanair 3 hours 20 late, £350 compensation paid within 3 weeks I think. BA, cancelled flight, put on flight 11 hours later, £350 compensation paid but it took 2 months to get it.

I did Stoneking touring club in early September. It was unbelievably awesome!! Best riding I’ve ever done & masses of it – I was sure glad I’d trained for it. Stunning scenery, forgotten villages, amazing food, great group of folk, couldn’t be better!! Trouble is, what to do next??

Used Outdooractive app in Slovenia for some walking & gravel rides. Seemed to work well.

Thanks for those comments. We kinda use it at the moment, but are struggling to work out the best structure for it. ATM we have it set up as 1 team, one Tasks list, with a bucket for every project. But we have too many (pretty simple) projects for that to work – the list of buckets is about 5 screens wide.
We’ve got better (but still not great) engagement than we had when we used excel.
I find it good when a new task comes in (to my head), that I need to delegate – I can put a bit of a structure, sub tasks, links to files etc that forms the basis of a later discussion.
Would it be better having a team per manager & then putting their projects in buckets in that team?

A colleague at work has chalets overlooking the Beauly Firth http://www.pinechalets.Co.uk, might be worth a look.

    Rather than what3words

    Is probably more appropriate…

I’ve ridden my daughter’s one for the past couple of years (ssssh!). Did the Badger Divide on it last year. I think it’s a great bike, comfortable, but quick when you hit road sections.

I’m doing it first week in Sept. Looking forward to it – looks amazing!
Gonna get a lot of riding/training in in prep for those big days though!

Agree W3W is generational, hence non of our group had it! We’ll have it as part of the tool box now.

Recently some of our group were out at night, long story short:
One came off & smacked their head Concussion quickly recognised
Ambulance called which took them to hospital.

Issue was that no one had his other half’s contact details ( who was expecting to be picked up after the ride & would be panicking big time)

    Lessons learned (basic really!):
Have everyone’s emergency contact details to hand
Have what3words in your phone- it was the first thing the emergency services asked for when they found out it was a rural location.

I was using Tasks in Teams, without any other app. I thought about bodging with a name in the bucket, but don’t think that will do the job satisfactorily.

Saturday night has been pizza night at Kite Towers for as long as I can remember (exciting life that we lead.. )
Dough via Panasonic bread maker, same recipe, using similar flour, but the texture of the dough can vary so much. Usually it stretches out nicely, but sometimes it’s leathery & tears before it stretches. Any idea why??

An electric corkscrew, received as a birthday present. Sits next to some complicated manual one, recieved a few years earlier.
Simple corkscrew works just fine for me!

Nowhere, I wouldn’t wish it on Coatbridge. CNP is run by a cabal of single interest individuals with rose tinted specs with very little connection to the real world.

We’re doing MTB practice & expeds soon. Are going to do the usual routes/logistics, apart from them not sharing tents & we’ll transport the additional kit between campsites.

Amazing route, stunning weather & scenery. I was starting to grumble a bit near the end of the push up to Clach na Frithealaidh, but then THAT descent to Carnmore – wow!!

Aye she enjoyed it & managed to get a good day. I think she stayed on the low level route on the GGW, as the tops were in cloud.
Need to go do it myself now!

Cheers for that. Will (get someone more able than me to) investigate Sharepoint thing. Just want something simple. Kinda feels like it’s a very short mole database record with an image of the invoice on. Just haven’t got the time/skill to invent it!

In a moment of weakness I recently ‘agreed’ to us getting a Sage Barista Express, to replace previous much cheaper machine that had died.
Must say it produces great coffee, frothing milk is dead easy, all very consistent. So big thumbs up from me!

We’re in the north of Scotland…
But TBH we’d be up to pay transport costs or arrange a drop off on a trip (when we’re allowed out!) than it either get eaten by mice in our loft or go to landfill.
