I was going to order a saddle / post combo, I thought the breakage problems with earlier posts had been resolved.

Obviously not, I won’t bother now.

I should add that I was mistaken when I posted the above, the early problems were with the saddle snapping not the post.

Doesn’t turn up any results other than this thread, which if there was a massive problem and considering the amount of these they must have sold you’d expect it to be all over the WWW.

Basically I was asking what I would likely need out of:

32mm Seal kit, Samurai wiper, oil seals & foams – all models
Pike/Reba/Revelation Dual Air Service Kit (all O-rings, air valves, air caps, bottom out pads)
Pike/Reba/Revelation Motion Control O-Ring Kit (all O-Rings,Circlips, Bottom Out Pad & Foot Bolt

    but he wouldn’t tell me.

Did you make it clear that you were going to purchase from TFT not CRC etc?

To be fair, it hasn’t been the full instructions on how to do a service, but they answered questions on types of grease etc.

If it’s RS your servicing, it really is easy.

You’ll be lucky getting anywhere that needs booking at this stage, Browns is always good for me reasonably priced, great food plus you won’t have to book, although it will be busy.

In fact it’s the only place I’ll eat out in Bristol when I do, which isn’t often.

I’m toying with the idea of putting a flat bar and bar ends on my Rush for the solo events I’m doing this year, I like the idea of the extra hand positions the set up offers.

I currently use low risers on both my bikes, so the low front end shouldn’t be a problem.

Your seat post is too short, you need at least an inch of post below the seatube / toptube junction.

I bought some Ti bolts from their Ti bolts website.

    Awful quality, never again.

    Refund was prompt though.

Bontrager make good wheels, the top end ones are Bontrager branded DT Swiss hubs as well, what don’t you like about yours?

Hmm.. skinny tyres are horrible in rock garden! Shock! [:)]

Bontys have far better handling in rock gardens IMO, plus I don’t have any problems with 2.0 Larsen TTs in rock gardens either and they’re pretty skinny.

I’ll certainly the Trailrakers a go – but, if they’re a bit hard work my next try will be the Bonty Muds (thanks again for the advice Clubber!).

If you’re getting them form Sharki for bobbins then give them ago, but they really are horrible on rock gardens (like on BBL) they pinball the wheels all over the place and as clubber said they do drag on tarmac so that’s something to consider as you have a 14 mile road journey as well.

The Cadbury Camp trails are indeed fun for a quick blat, but I think if there’s one reason they’re in better nick than the Bristol trails it’s because fewer people know about them and ride them. []

They used to be well used by the GVMTB, but they look to have disbanded now, wonder what happened to them.

I think you may need spacers-have you got the instructions-it tells you on them.
The bolts, nice and tight, but not right-tight!

    You don’t need spacers.

Trail Rakers are crap for Brizzle, Bonty Muds are by far the best I’ve used round here.

I think the Cadbury trails you refer to are around Cadbury Camp and Nortons Wood, come off the M5 at Cleveden / Nailsea, head for Tickenham look out for the Golf Course and the fire road bridal way that runs beside it, that’s a good place to start. There is definitely some fun to be had round there.

But the question remnains – can they say ‘it might be helpful whilst you are pregnant to do less hours anyway’. and then claim her job wasn’t chosen because of her pregnancy?

Yep they can say that, it doesn’t indicate that is was a factor in the decision process.

Sounds to me like Brant is lookig at the current market and thinking this is a more stable propersition than On-One. Cant blame him but it does make me think that On-One wont be able to compete, and i suspect Brant feels that otherwise he would have done a similar thing under the present On-One setup.

    Sounds about right.

Richards is to create a bike and accessories brand for mail-order retailer Chain Reaction Cycles.

    Richards said:

“I’m spending the next couple of months either in my shed, or in Taiwan, working hard to get a lovely range of frames and components, for launch under a new brand name in early May. What I’m trying to achieve is that fast route to market, volume purchasing, great margins, all in key areas that the big brands aren’t hitting.

“And if that fails, I’ve got a backup plan of going to sell odd hats and beef jerky.”

But why did he need to leave On-One to do that?

‘Ohh look at him – tee hee!’

Why don’t you go and throw stones at him or something?

He is being laughed at because..

    1. He looks a tit in that helmet.
    2. He is Robbie Williams and is a cockend.

I hate them, they drag, they break away unpredictably, the pin ball all over the place in rock gardens.
