Think I’ll give some of these Perfect Curves a try then as suffer badly with cold painful hands even in current Midlands temperatures on both road and mtb rides. Am sure it’s a circulation issue too but am willing to try these if they are well recommended for even the coldest days

Every so often mine reminds me that it has ‘only’ 125mm or so of travel but then it does make you feel great when you ride it hard and fast – running 140mm fork and tempted to up it to 150mm to make it a bit more rowdy. I’m on the v1 frame and find it’s great for any riding I do, even a week or so in the Alps each year

I use a Wheels Mfrg one as find the ones that thread together in the middle are a better bet – slightly ironic that adding threads to a press-fit helps the situation 😉

I do love my Noah SL, nice blend of aero and weight but dead smooth to ride and can get my Pavé 27mm in as well if needed

What colour ‘O’ are you after as I’ve a few spare?

The Prizm Trail seems a lot closer to g30 I reckon, a good bet for inbetween conditions although am using mine on the road quite a bit at the moment.

Whilst the crowds can sometimes make the climbs a bit frustrating, they also add to a great atmosphere – this was probably a big contrast to when I rode the Roubaix sportive which has far less numbers. I think Flanders this weekend was extended to almost 20000, whereas Roubaix has only a couple of thousand or so.
Flanders is still a great weekend, a really good choice for a trip away with family and mates – I keep going back for sure!

I’ve sprinting buttons but have placed them halfway along the tops of the bars, the buttons rest nicely between the fingers. Climbing button box is a bit fugly and obtrusive imho

They sell off their demo bikes too so sometimes good deals can be had there – http://www.trekdemosale.co.uk

I used them for a pair of cx tyres – they arrived after chasing them up, however were the incorrect tyres and I’ve had no reply to several queries about returning them

Whenever I am over that way with work, I park at Brandon Country Park, cross the road then you are almost straight onto the Thetford trails. Not dissimilar to Pines to be fair but good fun for a night ride and right near the main road to get back into Norwich

Am so tempted with one of these myself, was chatting to Sideways Tim just last week… he can get them in pretty quick.

Am loving my Ariel, having built up a 15x frame – comes in at 28.5lb with 1×10 and a dropper so happy with that for a 150mm bike. Got me up some techy climbs in the Peak yesterday, and is a great laugh back down again!

Our Viz was always very keen to over tire himself, so as others have said it’s best to not over exercise.
Only issue we had at times was that he seemed to think that every cyclist was me so would excitedly bound towards them and to some folks, even a viz is a big dog. Sadly, I never quite trained him well enough to be a proper ‘traildog’ in a group of riders so would just take him out on my own/

Yup,I had the same issue but seemed to be the only one on the previous thread about Morvelo and their sizing. Their bibshorts are a ‘normal’ medium but I found the jerseys to be quite a loose fit, but the arm grippers pretty tight?

I’ve always used Lloyd at Professional Transfers in the past – drop him a line, he may well be able to help you with some guiding too as he knows some great off-beaten-track stuff

I think the boys at 18Bikes have a Genesis Caribou on demo?

On the contrary, while I find the Morvelo quality very good I find the sizing quite loose for the jerseys. Bibshorts are a ‘typical’ size whereas my ‘medium’ jersey is a fair bit looser (and a little longer) fit than most other brands in the same size.

I think Trailhead over in Shrewsbury were building their demo bike today? give them a buzz, ask Sandy the Boss there

I have some of the Carver Trail ones that i got from Tim at Sideways – they ride super well!

Interested in this too as tempted by the 27.5 rims – folks on here seem pretty happy with theirs on threads I have seen but keen to hear any updates…

I was there yesterday – ‘true blue’ at the top of the main climb is closed. Sadly so is ‘b line’ which they say is currently lost under the fallen trees and will need a lot of clearing.
Still a nice loop though, as the diversion takes you back onto the red return.

Ta folks, I couldn’t see what a problem would be but thought I’d read it somewhere…
Good news for my cunning cx plans then 🙂

I was up there today and pretty wet and muddy – the trees that recently blocked a few trails have been sorted though.

Am also looking for best options for a 140mm 27.5 fork and have read that a new Pike can be converted to 140mm on the SCruz forums on mtbr.
However think I may well go for the Revelation though as seem the best combo of performance/weight/stiffness certainly compared to Fox 32 or 34s – had also considered X Fusions although not looked at DT to be honest

I had a similar list for my HT frame and went for the Highball alloy in the end – rides super nice and the SS dropouts work really well. Normally have a 100mm fork in it although have currently fitted a set of Carver Trail rigids and it’s still a blast, dropper seatpost fitted as well 🙂

Thanks folks – seems a Lifeproof the best bet for the 5s as they now do one compatible with the fingerprint ID. However worrying that they are now always great for the mic etc , especially for the price!

They checked with me yesterday to see if I had received my chainring as their system had a glitch – apparently it was being shipped asap but nothing from the postie today…

My Transit Connect has been good so far, 2 bikes in back with the front wheels in just held up with bungy cords round the seatpost.

I rode Lincoln last year which was one of their events and it all seemed very smooth at the start hq – well signposted, well stocked feed stops (3 of them last year if I recall)
That’s all I have but guess there will be a final email this week

Yup, I got an email a week or so ago about the change of start venue – assume you’ve had that one?

Yup, I’ve got one and it is a fantastic bit of kit – even in recent cold conditions I’ve worn it with just a merino base layer underneath and it’s been nice and warm, with rain seemingly just running off it.
Expensive yes, but so far seems a lovely bit of kit – just be careful with sizing though like with any Castelli. I’m a medium in almost any garment but had to get a large Gabba

No problems with mine, I just got one of the shaped downtube protectors from the US that bolts onto the lower bottle bosses
