My mum has that fiesta it’s fun to drive for what it is. I’d buy the swift though I prefer the look and they are a bit different, plus I hear they drive well. I don’t really like fords for no reason, I can’t really explain why. I’d be happy enough with either if I was after that type of car.

Intended to wait till 12 weeks but wife was showing early, started wearing sweaters etc in middle of heatwave to try and cover bump. It didn’t feel right local shop keeper/neighbour guessing and knowing and not aunties and uncles so we announced it at 8 weeks to close family/friends then the obligatory Facebook status at 12 weeks.

Thin bleach to clean it, just brush it on with seeping brush then wash it off half an hour later. Coat in whichever decking oil is on sale.

Think the OP is asking for suggestions of pretty cars which are on sale today/new models.

fantastic, the marketing campaign has been superb.

Been a fan most of my life since Pablo honey and bought everything since then, this is just perfect. It’s got the innocence I don’t think they quite got in previous videos.

Octavia’s aren’t bad cars at all, provided you have never owned a 3 series. Tick the ‘just as good as’ and ‘same engine as an Audi but £4k less’ boxes when you order it to ensure your a hoot at dinner parties.

Has anyone heard one? Seen mixed reviews but they are all when it was full price against similar priced speakers, could be a bargain at this price

I was down the seafront with my son and these 3 boys came running past us going “Look LAMBO!” They ran up to this yellow parked car and my son says to em “That’s a Toyota”

I’ve had 2 Celica’s (none in yellow!) and this happend a couple of times – youngsters mistaking it for a Lamborghini or supercar. One boy pointed it out to his mum claiming ‘Ferarri’ his mum was impressed and gave me the eye. I retold the tale to my mate who dubbed it ‘council house Ferrari’ and the name kind of stuck.

I’m sure this has been asked before ( by me I think) but is there a future Classic in production right now? I can’t think of any.

Especially as I don’t think many are selling.
    Re GT-86
I love them the chassis is a joy and there’s enough grunt to use fully in novice hands, however on paper they look poor value in terms of power to the majority, despite how lovely they are to drive. Just not enough bhp these days when your average rep mobile is matching its output. I just don’t think uk market gets them when bhp and 0-60 sells cars. The facelift version looks worse imho. As approved used prices are dropping fast I think they could become a bargain.

    Ford racing puma
Toyota celica GT (especially yellow – 23 left)
    pug gti-6
    Unmolested manual supra
Unmolested classic Impreza (specifically rb-5, 22b, McRae or p1)

For more £ Maserati grantuismo I’ve seen them selling as low as £30k surely they will go up and up over the next 30 years.

The ae-86 above has already appreciated.

It was filmed next to Ncfom, filming had to be postponed a day while the cloud from the oil fire died down. They are both superb films.

I liked it, I don’t know if I will watch it again in blu-Ray when it’s released as a lot of the landscapes will be lost on a small tv and for me it was those landscapes and cinematography that made the film. The plot was thin but I didn’t really feel it was too dragged out but the film could have been a bit shorter or carried another storyline (I know it’s based on one account but maybe flesh out some of the characters back stories)

I think it’s superb, I heard mixed reviews but saw it anyway at the cinema and subsequently a few times recently. I think the Johny Greenwood soundtrack feels unsettling and matches the mood of the film well, Dano is brilliant over the top as Eli and DDL plays his part well. Can’t see why it gets so many mixed reviews if I’m honest.

I was working on something for tv when a then new Smart Roadster was supplied to be driven on set – product placement. What a load of shit that was. I’ve had several mx5’s and an MR2 and can’t say the smart even comes close. The gearbox was dreadful and the whole car seemed like a toy and not in a good way.

my dogs don’t seem to give a shit what I look like. I owe them the same. Feel sorry for the unlucky ones on crufts, hope the owners rosettes are worth it. This needs time calling on it, not what sharing your life with a dog should be about.

Toyota celica, you can get a gen7 for £2k. The 190 bhp version is brisk enough, check/change the lift bolts (very easy and cheap) and there’s not much to go wrong, timing chains last easily into 250k, the rear wishbones can wear tyres unevenly on inside but not an issue. The 140 bhp version avoid anything pre facelift as they drink oil. I had them in the past can fit a bike in with rear seats down, really enjoyed driving it – underrated fwd chassis. 190 bhp was very useable. It’s the car I miss most

    Marmite image though

My mate used to import cars from Japan as a side business, mostly Impreza’s and evo’s. There was the odd rx and skyline. He imported an R32, liked it so much he kept it for about 6 months himself (which is possibly the longest I’ve known him to own a car) it was running over 600 bhp, I drove it a couple of times, while it felt planted the delivery was savage. He sold it was it got too much attention. His girlfriend found it an embarrassing car to be seen in, but he changed her instead. He describes ownership as:

Fuel, oil, nip to shops, get every boy racer starring at it, fuel, go home worry Chav will Nick it off drive, fuel, go to trackday fall in love with it, decide to keep it, fuel, oil, cop pull you over to take a look, fuel, go to bed check out window it’s still there, etc…

I like the bmw 3 series auto vogue coupes, I’ve seen a 325i in your price range. My wife thinks they look boy racer… I like them though.

and down shop aisles, doesn’t fall over like three wheelers do etc etc.

My 3 wheeler hasn’t fallen over yet… Is this a common issue? Surely you can’t sell baby buggies likely to tip over?

Couldn’t use just a sling, it’s ok on country walks but a buggy has worked better for us around city centres.

Had a few mx5’s now, and an mr2 which was my favourite. Looking to get a mk1 mx5 this year. Have a real itch for an integrale though, prices are rising so if i want to scratch it it’s likely now or never.

We bought a Quinny modd and a maxi-cosi pebble car seat that clips into the frame. It’s been superb, the frame has a hydraulic mechanism that raises and collapses itself. My friend has a baby of the same age and bought a silver cross that seems a faff and not as well made.

Use a baby-born sling too which is fantastic on country walks were the buggy can’t go.

    The 318i is underpowered, get a 6cyl 325 or 330i.

The skoda is boring and dull by comparison.

We’ve got the single shot ‘bolt’ ones currently £3.50 in sainsburys and a load of bullets off eBay. Good laugh after 5pm. Don’t have any games, just shoot each other.

Used it loads (at least once a month this year) as a guest only had to leave one bad review as property was not suitable and had to find a travelodge. No help from air bnb when I complained.

Friends let their properties sometimes and complain about guests not turning up. No help from air bnb.

So on the whole good from both guest and owner point of view, just no assistance when things don’t work out.

It’s not just perceived image. 10 years ago I would have been happy to drive around in a car that looks shouty about its bhp. Now I’m in mid 30s I want the power but not shout about it, regardless of how the car drives. Impreza’s get attention off boy racers and the older ‘classic’ shape are on front lawns with 555 stickers on. Despite how good a standard p1/22b/rb5 is it’s no longer for me based on image alone. I do like subarus, they are well made and drive well but wouldn’t pick one I could ignore the ‘muppet motor’ comments from peers, the the wings and bonnet scoops and loud ‘zorts put me off.

When I was looking at a car years ago I took my 2 bikes to see how they would fit. Could you ride down to look at the Impreza?

But there are a few things to note about the brakes. Higher performance cars tend to go through brakes

    It’s a 320d.

    Congratulations

My baby is 11 weeks now so I can’t say I’m a veteran. We bought a Quinny Moodd and it’s been superb so far, it opens easily by tapping the lever (one handed) it’s light and wheels can be easily replaced if ever needed. It’s an all black one so it can be touched up easily if it gets scratched. It’s light and easy to manovure. It does seem a bit wider than others though.

Far too small unless you intend to plug it into a decent monitor, and occasionally may need some portability so an iMacs out of the question.

They asked my wife if she wanted a free wifi dongle, she said yes and was billed for it. We got nowhere ringing them up so went in store (who couldn’t help) but said they do it all the time to customers to hit targets. Eventually on the 4th call to voda we managed to get passed to a manager who said he needed to listen to the tapes of the first call saying it was free, this could take 6-8 weeks. We eventually got him to agree if we send the dongle back unopened we can get the account credited. Absolutely useless company. When the contract expires were closing the account.
