I love mine, its been much more fun than the mx5’s it has replaced. To be honest good ones are getting hard to find, I really wanted a 3.5 but the cherished ones were going for over book. Finally found a mk3 with 2 owners the first owner seemed to cover 10k in 3 years while the second I met in the Toyota owners club and bought the car off him. The 3.5 face lifted ones are the puck of the bunch with fogs and improved oil consumption. I haven’t tried getting a bike in/on it, so sorry I can’t help. Very enjoyable car to drive and very well made, you won’t regret buying one just wait for a good one & this is a good time to buy.

Interesting comments re: builder, inside joke? My dads had 2 hes a retired builder, sorry property developer. My mate has just bought one, he’s a brickie, sorry lectures in bricklaying. The plumber that came to our house had one too.

Although my comment wasn’t aimed at coffee king were reading off the same page, I suggested a celica also, love mine. I know a few st205 owners from fan club/groups and I think the service intervals can be relaxed somewhat. Phenomenal car for the money, very capable & they feel very fast. Future collectible.

Try hard, comes across as somewhat immature would make me think twice before spending my money with them, which ultimately as a business should be their aim.

Ford Pumas MX5’s even an effing Saxo!
He said he’s having a mid life crisis not a lobotomy! The OP states classic.
    He wants something classy.

For £2000, care to suggest anything we might have missed?

Mega-drive, I held the level speed records for a couple of the sonic levels in sega power magazine. I can still do them now in my head. I once beat Danny Curly in a head to head, which is very geeky boast. Despite that I have managed to get a girlfriend.

Echoing what’s said above I run evening classes etc in drawing/art over the years I have known of several couples meeting in my groups and friends of friends introducing them.

Its less like an orgy than that sounded…

My mums friend met someone at the local stitch and bitch class, he was learning woodwork next door both in 60’s. Hope you find her someone

My sister borrowed my mums Honda Jazz and it was renamed ‘ve-jazzle’
A mate of mine, mid 40’s ex army built like a tank macho kind of bloke names all his cars, things like billy, Mikey, tommy he gets proper attached to them too and talks about them like they are a pet. Very odd considering his personality in general.

As an update, i did a few days the last couple of days in a secondary school. I spent most of my time shouting and looking for students work, a very different world to others schools i have worked in. talking to other NQT teachers there and PGCE’ers it seems the bar has been raised with entry requirments this last year.

I sold the naked lady picture which was nice and I’ve had a few commissions but I’m on a bit of a downer with my quality right now. I drew my wife and her two sisters (which my wife doesn’t want on the internet), spent absolutely ages on it and now hate it. My wife has three prints of it in A3 size and is about to get them framed and given to her sisters and I absolutely hate it.

in all of my work i can only see the mistakes and things i wish to change, no matter what else is said about it.

    i do love this thread

My dad had a big cortina estate when I was a lad, it was named goldie by my sister. You never see many gold cars now, which is a shame, its all moody hues of blues and grey through to black.

My car is called Shark after my nephew (3) decided it looked like a shark,
Fiancée’s is called vixen due to numberplate
Fiancée’s company car is called the big blue, golf Bluemotion.

On reflection it does seem a little sad to name cars.

Been with CPW for about 8 years. Never had an issue and on the occasion I have needed anything I can walk into the shops. I haven’t stayed so much from loyalty as they had the best offers for my usage at the time.

Re unlocked phones: I think even though the phones are supplied via CPW they are locked still. I know my previous phones have been as CPW is a reseller, they may for example have a phone in stock on 02 but not vodaphone. Happy to be proven wrong and this could be my misunderstanding, I know my old old Sony was locked to 02 but supplied by CPW.

Offer what you think its worth, if they don’t like it walk away there’s plenty of cars about. Showrooms seem to vary a lot, BMW harassed me to get finance (daily phone call) VW didn’t seem to care. The price on the car is the price to start talking and you only go down from there.

Check auto trader for similar and add a bit on for showrooms.

I once revived from a fellow STW forum user a long bellicose email challenging my view on art & what art should be. They went on to critique my own work and pull apart my website. It did not concern me about what was said about my views/work but at how simple it was from my email address to find out various details about me & functions I will be attending. I have since removed my address from my profile.

Hora, I’m sympathising with his supposed situation and this stalker scenario if it its indeed legitimate. However if you read my post again I hope it is clear I would sooner he rectify his actions (his fault or not) as taking money and not delivering is inexcusable. I sell my ‘trade’ myself rather than a commodity and its common practice to pay a deposit and balance on completion, I suggest iDave does something similar in future and anyone buying plans off someone online doesn’t pay the cost upfront. This is surely now a damage limitation exercise on his behalf and the longer he ignores it the worse he appears.

This shouldn’t still be going on. Its not like he has taken money for a commodity he can no longer get hold of, just his time to sort plans out apologise and clear his name. I don’t think he set out to rip people off but that’s how its ended up. It may have been the product of this ‘stalker’ but there’s no excuse for taking money and not delivering in this manner. He could easily set a thread up and discover the people without plans (I’m sure they have evidence they are genuine with PayPal transactions etc) & make good on his name.

I’m glad I’m not the only one 🙂 the maths bit is a real sticking point, by the time I have decided what to do with the information I’ve extracted from the question the next one is being asked.

    Again thanks for the feedback.

I have lots of 1-2-1 experience from private tutoring and also groups from my evening classes, plus the placement I did. The sticking point for me is starting to look like the qts test in maths, I failed miserably at the practice online test. I need to work on it, it would be a shame if I couldn’t get started due to this. One of the people I teach is an ex grammar school headmistress who said I would make a great teacher and has suggested i look at private schools were a PGCE is not required. I also teach another teacher (rougher city centre school) who has been positive about my teaching methods. I really want to move my career in this direction and get loads of satisfaction from teaching others. I looked at ‘assistant’ jobs and had an interview but I was deemed over qualified by the HR dept & may not stick around long term.

I wish I would have been allowed to try harder at school. In all honesty my school was far from a suitable place to learn, its changed hugely now after damming inspections. There are a handful of us still in touch in person and on Facebook who have gone on to do well after leaving, all agreeing on the poor quality of the school. I managed to get a place at art college with my ‘natural ability’ if I re-took some GCSE’s, I excelled with proper teaching and went onto university. I wanted to try hard at school, it wasn’t encouraged and there was no discipline, I accept & admit the mistakes I made myself throughout my life, but I was held back during those years. It haunts me still now on application forms my lack of GCSE’s.

Mum has one, had no issues with it. The boot is deceptively big. Its a 1.4 nippy enough for what it is. She’s 65 so the image doesn’t bother her, my sister borrowed it and it was nicknamed the Vejazzle. Of the cars in its class it must be pick of the bunch, the bright metallic blue look less OAP, mums is that mint ice cream green.

The Sweeny. expected it to be crap especially after what I had been told by friends. It was crap, but was enjoyable trashy no brainer crap. If I had watched it with high expectations I would have been disappointed though.

Snow White & the Huntsmen. Nephew chose this I palmed it off as rubbish based on the fact it was a 12 & had that miserable looking vampire girl in it. Really enjoyed it, it reminded me of Willow. The big white deer reminded me of something I saw in a studio ghibli film.

I was hugely tempted by an RX-8 lovely cars, I could not give one that bit if extra thought that’s needed in ownership (talk to real owners not hearsay) but ultimately the boot wasn’t suited to my needs. The interiors are really nice and I didn’t find a lack of low end grunt in the ones I test drove. Absolute bargain for the money, as usual someone you have just met will tell you their TD-what-now is quicker uses less oil & can seat someone 7’2″ in comfort, hope you saved up for the 12,000 mile complete engine rebuild and all that.
