Sounds more like an error when ticketing the product than getting ‘poor service’ I am sure they will rectify this. Do you have the original ticket?

I agree with Kevin, Lamacq talks about music far too seriously to the point it’s boring. It’s like he is passionless about something he is clearly passionate about and the way he interviews kids is creepy.

Thanks very much. I expected the £20 job to be a bit naff but wanted to be sure before counting it off. Funding wise I may just stick to a0 printouts and do it the old fashioned way and point to it.

Well, yes, that’s exactly what it is. That’s how cars work when there are different models in a range. The GTI is just a tuned version of the 1.4 TSI one too.
An RS6 is just a tuned S6, which is just a tuned A6, and an M135i, is just a tuned 116i. Clever innit?

I’m not in the market for a hot hatch but can’t see why anyone would consider the Golf R over an M135i unless you had a real affinity for the “golf” brand.

Quite different specification. Golf doesn’t suffer same image problems (if that’s important to you) golf not as ugly (again if that’s important to you).

I’m a designer, I don’t touch excel, the admins do that. I don’t touch cameras, the freelance photographers do that. The 2 juniors in our studio are both recent graduates and on similar salaries to what you are offering and have excellent exposure across design heavy brands, the opportunity to develop new computer skills and have mentoring from an experienced team. I think you are unreal in your expectations from your advert as there is little to attract anyone to the company other than it’s a job.

Ground anchor and then an alarmed chain going through wheels. Another chain going round all the bikes. Bikes covers up with old card boxes so it just looks like a messy corner in the garage.

Someone in the celica owners club has just paid £900 for a very well looked after gen7 with 95k on the clock. It’s missed a couple of services but is otherwise in very good condition. Sub 1k gets you a pre-facelift model which can drink a bit of oil but otherwise are very reliable and on the whole are well looked after. Mines a 2003 and easily takes 2 bikes with back seats dropped.

One vintage ‘national’ shop till, sold on eBay for £120

A pair of vintage wooden skis

    A Raleigh town bike

A full set of wooden patio furniture it just needed sanding and teak oiling

A lavazza coffee machine (broken) sold on eBay for £10

    2 vintage trunk cases

    A broken iMac

A bay tree in a pot (was live and well couldn’t see it get binned)

I avoid the tip in Chester city centre though high viz make it hassle to drop anything off.

I think, if I’m honest with myself, as much as I love the Golf, it’s probably not the most appealing car to be in for 5 hours on a Friday night after work. Perhaps it would be ok for me, but not for my passenger.

It will be fine, I used to do similar in an mx5 and my passenger was over 6 foot. Buy the car for you not to make others comfy. Sure the Audi will be comfier but the Golf is hardly going to feel like your passenger is sitting in a side car.

It sounds like you have already decided you would prefer the Golf. Go and buy it and enjoy it. A6s are nice cars and everything but the Golf R is exciting and life is too short.

My fiancée had an early 2.7 when I first met her, it was a nice car. Parts were expensive but thankfully it didn’t need much in the time she had it. She then had an S2000 which we prefered but was far less refined. If anything the Boxster felt quite grown up. Plenty of people will say hairdressers car, pensioners toy, etc etc and point out their Octavia/Audi/hot hatch is quicker, the other ‘fun cars’ we have had since s2000, mx5s, mr2, don’t court the same comments. I prefer more simple cars like mx5/mr2 but for a fun car you can’t really go wrong with a well looked after Boxster.

I hope you get one and enjoy it, there are some great deals about.

There’s lots round here, they all seem playful dogs. There’s a few really aggressive dogs I see often (not borders) but I blame the owners not the dog. I like borders, if I was to get another dog I would look at one but I would prob just get a rescue dog.

I’ve been there too. I went into my ‘final’ performance meeting and pretty much said in going, they said they were planning on keeping me which was an obvious lie. I am so glad I went. I hated that feeling of being sick, and being sick all the time. The sleepless nights and the weekends (when I wasn’t working) spent lying on my bed anxious. I regret not going sooner but it’s hard to see that at the time.

I started getting dry skin fare swimming most days (chlorine) so bought some simple moisturiser. I didn’t tell anyone but after 2 months use not only is my skin much better the girls in the office have been remarking how much younger I look and taking to patting my face and saying ‘feel how soft his skin is’ to each other. I don’t swim as often but still use it at night.

I have never tried another make so don’t have a comparison.

Yes I learned from an ex’s dad who was an evasive driving instructor. I had a cincuquento (sp? That word and dyslexia don’t mix ) as my first car and the pedals were close together. I can do it in my celica too but don’t on the roads as I’m far from smooth. I learned left foot braking too but haven’t tried in years my first attempt in the fiat quickly taught me the seatbelts were a bit slack and didn’t ‘snatch’.

Accept it and enjoy it. I’ve given drawings and paintings away to people who maybe could not otherwise buy. It’s a really nice gesture and you should repay him by getting better and playing till your happy and your fingers hurt .

When i was a student I worked in whsmiths. Daily mail were at the time giving away audio books of miss marple or foreign language courses. I used to just ask the customer if they actually wanted the paper and if not give them the cd, no purchase necessary.

Medication helped me, I was on a maintenance dose of 30 mg IIRC of citalopram till I hit my rock bottom and it went up to 80 (off specialist I think DRs can only go up to 60?) anyway it helped. I was so low I didn’t care about the side effects I was completely numb they didn’t even register and just spent days lying there on my bed with the door locked scared of anything I had built up in my head so much stuff that was my fault stuff that didn’t happen or was unlikely to happen. I have been on various medications but citalopram worked best for me, equally I know someone who couldn’t get on with it.

I had hypnosis that was a huge help . I’m hypnotised now if I feel a panic attack coming on I have a safe word that relaxes me.

This makes for a depressing post so far but I’m fine now, I’m very well respected in my career and no one has a clue what I went through. I dress well, feel confident (in work stuff ) have an active social life and good friends. If I can help one person even get 1% better im willing to do that. I don’t take meds now (been off 18 months) if I felt the need to I wouldn’t hesitate to ask for them.

Cody, use the time you have wisely to actively seek new work. If the job is making you feel like that then it’s really not worth it. You should see someone to talk, someone neutral maybe like a dr. Or re-read your post and ask what advice you would be giving to that person if it wasn’t you. I can’t say if you have or have not had panic attacks, but the fact you haven’t slept all night due to work and the anxiety it’s causing you isn’t worth it. Don’t even think about ‘not being here’ as easy as it can seem to think that way, there is no way anyone should feel like that and it sounds like you need to alter the root of your problem if you know it’s work then ask yourself do you really want a job that affects your life in that way?

It sounds to me like your in a ‘foggy’ early phase of anxiety were you can’t think straight (I may be wrong in no dr but Ive been going through this since I was 8 ) the sooner you nip it in the bud the better. I want you to look back at this as just a difficult phase you were facing and that foggy hazy feeling will just go.

Post here, talk anonymously if need be. Join me on a ride. Whatever. But find that one thing that makes you realise how important you are. All the best and your going to be fine.

Hi king-o, thanks for posting. Sounds like you’ve really been through it. I can relate to the anxiety and panic element of it. Well done on getting to a better place and coping. I guess what I really want to know is how you’ve got there and stayed positive? Do you find it’s always a part of your life – managing it I mean?

I can’t really say there was a single factor that changed my life, however these are the main influences:
Diet. I eat healthy, for years didn’t drink. I only rarely have takeaway.

Exercise. The hardest part of this can be making the effort to exercise. When I was really ill I didn’t leave my bed for months the thought of leaving the house seemed a million miles away. Now I push myself and I have a dog, I know he has to be walked so I have to walk with him.

Friends and family. I wouldn’t be here without them getting me through. My best mate built me back up and got me on my bike. He lost his job we used to just ride all day. Some days I would hardly say a word just ride and look at the horizon. I can’t ever thank him enough for putting up with that.

Medication. I started on citalopram 20mg in my early. 20s this was upto 80mg when I was at my worse, I have had others but I can’t remember them. If anyone thinks they need medication please use it. You may wish to tell people and some will feel obliged to tell you stuff like ‘my friend was wrongly diagnosed have your thyroid checked’ ‘they give them out like sweets’ etc… But just ignore that and nod.

Counselling. Talking is massive I can’t stress enough how much this helps with ‘managing’ depression.

I hope this helps someone i don’t hide from talking about it but I never really know what to say. My biggest tool in combating depression has been learning the see the signs and slipping and doing something about it. It’s not easy but I know if I’m staying in too much, eating badly, not taking care in my appearance etc these are all minor triggers and I can ask myself why are they happening and go and do something to break the cycle.

I found 5htp didn’t do anything. It may help others.

Been on and off with depression since I can remember. My 20s were toughest I was on meds and had regular solo and group therapy. Things came to a head when I was 27 and I didn’t leave the house for 6 months, I dropped to 8 stone and I have no memory at all of those days. Happy to say I’m now 32 and I made it. Engaged to a stunning woman, am respected in my career and I’m getting on ok. I promised myself I am never going back no matter what. There’s alot of difficult things going on at the moment but I’m coping. My biggest fear is anxiety as I suffered panic attacks, I can’t go through that again.

I believed like sitting in the rear of a van without a seat, over filling a car (more passengers than seats) will mean those passsengers are not covered by insurance policy of the vehicle (which always ask the number of seats) in the event of an accident. IIRC used to be the case (no idea now), that as long as you had been informed by the driver of this before travelling, it was legal to do so.
    POSTED 30 MINUTES AGO # REPORT-POST

A ‘mate’ may have a 4 seater and he ‘may’ have been dropping 4 passengers into town when he was pulled over by the police and slapped on the wrists that all passengers need a belt. The kind police then drove the extra passenger into town and I (I mean my mate) drove the rest. It was foolish, lesson learned my next car will have 5 seats.

OK Computer, and other Radiohead songs if that era. I was completing my GCSE’s, had my first girlfriend, was learning about alcohol, my first festival, it was a long hot summer spent with lifelong mates riding bikes. But it’s not all about nostalgia it’s an incredible album.

Nothing with stripes or checks. Plain colour, maybe burgundy or a darker red. I’m assuming the shirt will be double cuffed and using cuff links?

Depends on the cut of the suit, a shirt with a single linked cuff with a cutaway (not high cut away) collar is acceptable but don’t open more than the lowest button on the jacket cuff (you should never do this anyway). Dark navy woven knit tie (must be a good one or it will look tired quickly) any silk in red, gold (stay away from a wide tie in gold or any metallic) or deep red.
