If you buy an automatic change gear box immediately regardless.
Wow, that seems less sensible than Hora’s suggestion, or the RX-7.

    RX7 was a joke I expect. Unlike a the 1.0 fiesta suggestion …

Focus or golf fit the bill

As your goal is lower insurance you can check boxes when getting quotes online to see difference in savings between courses.

I did a pass plus many years ago as soon as I passed as it introduced motorways, which I had not driven on yet but would need to for work. The course paid for itself after 5 months of monthly insurance payments so I looked at it as a free course and cheaper insurance.

Is it through alphabet? My 435 will be going back with an extra 6000-ish on it. My work were going to pay the extra, but as I’m taking another BMW Alphabet are turning a blind eye.

Best: A remote control that lets you take photos on your phone hands free.
Second best: a mini remote control skateboard I sellotaped my work mates phone to, I then ‘drove’ his phone round the office taking photos on the remote and putting the phone back on his desk without him knowing.

Worst: some deodorant that gave me a rash

I go twice a week on the basis it’s the only class that’s on that suits my other commitments. It replaced a circuits class and is mcg the same. I enjoy it certainly don’t take it seriously. They could put another class on (I sometimes go to grit if I’m free) and I’d still go as that’s the time I can go.

A few of the blokes wear bright vests and do a selfie after and a few hash tags. Not into that part.

Spectabilis, did you build the tank yourself? Really nice

Went to the green machine in Wrexham yesterday some lovely tanks. I’ve set up a nano aquascape tank it’s very murky till it clears. Will post pics when it’s done

Noticing a lot of the heaters are at an angle, is there a reason for this?

Cheekyget, is the tank heated and does it have a pump?

Hid you’re interested were about to put our tank up for sale. Love it, but total gutting of house has meant time for the hobby isn’t fair on the animals. Also once we move downstairs contamination will be probable. Let me know if you’re interested mate, it will be a total bargain.

What is it you have got?

Do people really look at other people’s feet? I know girls seem to think they do but realistically, who goes around looking at whats on a mans feet???

Yes. See the shoes see the man. No one goes around specifically looking at shoes but if you where to be introduced to someone and noticed they had ‘birks’ on they are most likely the kind of person who also wears stained ties because only oddballs will notice and only girls look at shoes. Said tie possibly worn with a short sleeved shirt too.

No. They look terrible. Stop calling them birks as well, not only do you look uncool you sound it too. Don’t give up on yourself just yet.

Get a transit van, my dad taught me manoeuvres in his. It was a doddle to reverse park as you could see all the corners and the big door mirrors made the 3 point turn easy as you could see the curb sooner (I think on the real test you drop your mirrors now)

On a more useful note something no one wants like a Toyota/Nissan saloon if insurance is the issue. I hear aygos etc can cost a fortune

A few people in car groups im in are doing the valeting thing now. Mostly autobrite franchises, they all seem very happy. One guy comes to my work and does loads of cars (he’s good too) and said he does ok and can fit throb around other things. Obviously less bikes about but look into it, anything is better than a job you hate.

basically a detuned 330 so sounds lovely and is pretty rapid. I could get it unrestricted and it’d be properly fast.

325i isn’t a bad shout if you don’t want too much oomph. My wife has one and it makes a bit of a sound but isn’t too quick at all. Needs to be the later 3.0 if you want to remap it to 300i (and above levels) and will need a few other bits.

We had an Ali-express secret Santa £8 budget. I got a pair of Ver-sarchai slippers. Very distasteful and over the top. I kept them at work and they were very comfy but had to get binned as the glue on them (and there was lots of it) started to smell of rotten fish, it was hard enough to explain it wasn’t my feet… The watch I bought for someone arrived broken and my colleague spent too long flirting with the girl on the Ali express chat messenger who wanted to charge him for her to send ‘sexy pics’. Someone got a joint rolling kit that never got through customs, when the sex doll with ‘real mouth’ was photographed in the CEO’s chair we were told enough is enough.

Next year were just going to give secret Santa money to nominated charities.

Got a rescue here (had from pup approx 6 weeks old) a westie Scottie cross. Lovely little dog very loyal, very calm and easy to train. Saw some for sale for £600 under the name ‘huggie bear’ all mixes now seem to have a designer name and are bought as some kind of status symbol. Go to the rescue centres and have a look, they won’t pair you with an unsuitable dog.

When I was looking at breeds I was told all kind of bullshit stories, I could get £1500 for this dog in London, this dogs dad was in crufts etc etc. You just want a nice dog to share your life with.

I think our agent feels we are/would be impressed with volume of viewings. I’d sooner have a couple of people than one viewing a day with people who the house doesn’t match criteria

And another thing, why don’t all estate agents put the floor plan on rightmove?

Ours wants £250 to draw it… I’m going to do it myself

We’re obviously on the market and have had 5 viewings since we went on on Monday. 3 of those have been given miss information about the house. Waste of both of our times.

Neighbour at my old house used to always block me in. A mate informed me if you drive very carefully up to the bumper you can push the car out of the way very slowly, it worked. I also put a for sale sign in it and his mobile number (the window was slightly open) he didn’t do it again.

My ex took out a credit card in my name I had no idea of, till I got a letter for £250. It was a fortune to me then but I paid it off and chalked it up to experience. I could have claimed fraud etc etc etc but didn’t want the hassle. it felt like anything I did could have been twisted so she looked the victim. She knows she’s in the wrong and you have been taken for a mug but generous guys often do. Don’t be so willing to pay for all the stuff in future and move on.

Something wrong with your left foot then.

    e9x 335’s are all auto aren’t they?

My 435d and 325i both return similar mpg, apart from on long motorway journeys were the 435 hardly drinks.

    Thanks for the replies.

As the cycling will be just me and baby I’m looking more toward a seat than trailer so I can see him I think. The replies and lovely photos have convinced me and wifey it’s not that unsafe at all, I was however optimistic in my original 3 hour ride prediction. As stated before my route is greenway and 100% flat Tarmac with no traffic or road, just old train and canal lines. I’ve got a £100 evans voucher do will be getting a seat this weekend :-)

Let’s keep this as parents sharing tips/reviews rather than is cycling with a trailer on roads/anywere safe, if anyone wants to debate that start a new thread.

Going to do this next year, going to stick to dog walks and pic-nics this summer. Something to look forward too and money won’t be as tight when wife’s back at work so can invest in better kit.
