You’ll need an inverter to power your 240v stuff too..

    Travelvolts stuff is very good.

The searching is really easy, saying that my MIL has an unusual middle name, and there was only 2 people with the same name registered in the whole of Scotland, and the other one was her Aunt.. Having the date of birth is a massive advantage, and you can compare the birth certificate against the parents names, and marriage certificates from the parents if you have some rough estimate of when they were married, but the records people should be able to point you in the right direction of what things to put in your searches…

When my wife was searching for her birth mother a few years ago we booked a slot at the search rooms http://www.nrscotland.gov.uk/research/visit-us/scotlandspeople-centre
It gave us records of her mothers birth, my wife’s birth, plus her mothers marriage certificate, and she found she had 3 half sisters.. The staff were very helpful and gave tips on the best way to conduct the searches..

I would say having to go in on your day off is unreasonable, considering from what I’ve read you’re the one they want to discipline..
If it was myself, I would be asking for it to be arranged in work time, or failing that I would come in on my day off but for a full days pay..

I’m also in the West Midlands, to be more precise I’m in the West Midlands Signalling Centre, which is like a big nuclear bunker with no windows on the operating floor.. There is a nice painting of the Ironbridge though

Having a conversation with my mate in the pub, when an ample breasted lady walked in, and he said “I love tits” to which i I replied “so much so you’ve decided to grow a pair of your own”

He didn’t speak to me for a week

When the missus puts the washing on the rotary dryer she always puts the heavy stuff, jeans and towels on one bit, then t shirts and underwear etc on the other, making the dryer lean on one side, trying to explain it would be better to even things out a bit just results in her saying if you think you can do better why don’t you just do it every time…

It’ll be me fixing the damn thing when its bost, but that’s lost on her..
Also when she knows I’m out riding my bike I’ll tell her to text if she wants to know something and I’ll stop and answer the text at a convenient time and only ring if its important.. Phone rings so I think its important only to be greeted with daft questions like do you want your boiled spuds leaving whole or mashed ffs

I’m here now, hired a road and mountain bike from Gavin at evolution, but they are actually on holiday this week.. I booked a 100k road ride and the MTB rollercoaster trip with Mick from Buenobike, and he arranged to pick the bikes up for me and deliver them to my apartments the day before each ride, Mick is a top top guy, can’t fault the service provided from either considering Gavin was on his Hols.. Oh and coffee and cake provided by mick on the tours too.. :D

I find clenching your hand into a fist and squeezing hard works well for me, this also seems to help if you do it with your feet (obviously you can’t clench them into a fist :D )

:( I’ve got more than enough lights thanks..

Just thought I could try and help find Donks light, I’m a signalman for network rail, and my wife is a team leader for virgin trains, if the light was dropped at a manned station I’m fairly confident I could speak to someone in the morning..

isitafox I don’t see the problem, I’ve had my email through offering me the 3yr hire for £67 where at the end I can either keep the bike or return it and get the £67 back, buy now for £240 or simply return it.

Was your letter from Network Rail or cyclesheme?? I’m expecting one fairly soon..

I’ve found that adding sea salt to my bath water really helps, or just a some in a bowl to soak your hands in.. I noticed my skin clear up whilst on holiday too, mainly after going in the sea..

Lee Hughes killed two people, served 5 years & returned to playing – is still playing now in the Conference. Saw him play a few weeks back & whilst a few remembered him/what he’d done he got no grief from the crowd.
Interesting. I saw him play a couple of years ago and the opposition fans chanted ‘Murderer’ and “It should have been you” pretty much constantly for the full 90 mins.

I’ve seen him a few times at Molineux and tbh it didn’t seem to really bother him, thumbs up to the chanting etc.. I imagine the crowd reaction was probably worse at Wolves seeing as he used to play for Sandwell Town..
