The initial contact was to repair a small leak and service the boiler.

The leak still occurred after, albeit to a slightly lesser extent.

I then employed them to replace the heat exchanger. This was done but they didn’t replace the o-rings/gaskets adjacent the new heat exchanger, simply left the existing ones in place. My engineer has said this is bad practice and new ones would have cost £10. Its now needed to be down, new seals/gaskets added and rebuilt, circa £200.

I’m not happy with the initial callout charge or this new bill of £200 which could have been prevented.

    Hi,
I used them with no problems. Went through a couple of sets quickly but probably due to not bedding in properly!

Yep, found this put a couple of days ago when posting a few items I’d sold. Everything seemed 30-40% than it was previously. Absolutely ridiculous. Other options will be used in future me thinks!

In fact, I’m confident that this happened on the iPod touch previous to this and that was also refunded.

My lad run up a bill over just under £45 on partner’s iPhone which she didn’t set up correctly. Cue a long apologetic email with some contractual/legal reasoning and the money was refunded. Good luck!!!

wwaswas – does seem strange powdercoating a frame with holes, guess they occurred after blasting?

so rust that has accumulated externally on a frame over 6 months is not worth worrying about?

Doesn’t sound good. Reckon I’ll spend my money elsewhere!

Only went there once a few years back. Was on my own, decided to go there while the rest of the road trip group rode GT. It was a wet day but remember having a thoroughly great day. Can’t remember much of the trail. IIRC there isn’t much elevation but it’s different to most of the other trails there. Ideal as a warm up on the Friday before a weekends riding if on a road trip.

I was torn between the Saints and Nanos. However, just got a £5 off code from Evans which makes the Saints £40 so think that’s what I’ll buy.

I remember watching the race in Brazil on TV and thought Webber did Vettel no favours then. I know ‘why’ they didn’t want him to overtake but if I was Vettel I’d have done the same thing. If I was Webber I’d have then switched everything up and tried to get the place back.

Ordered some bits the other day, came through quickly. One order was out of stock which they emailed about. Correspondence was regular and out of stock part came through about two days after the rest.

I have the Peaty grips which have served me well. Also used the ODI Ruffians but I thought they wore quickly, although they suited my small size hands. Not used Superstar but they apparently come out of the same factory?!

Used to use a larssen as a rear tyre with a HR up front.

Didn’t get on with the semi slick HR, sold after one ride.

Interesting subject, one that may soon apply to me. I will be ringing ACAS over the next few days. I’ve worked here for 10 years and don’t want to lose out on redundancy eligibility for something like that. Think the lunch break option is a no goer though!

Also felt the standover could be a bit better on the PA.

I had a small PA with a 350mm post and never got to full extension on that? It’s only an inch difference?

Happy to run a lay back and linger stem (currently run a 50mm)?

Sorry OP but you let them go red handed to steal someone else’s bike. As long as yours is safe and sound though now hey? Irrespective of what the police would/would not have done this was the way forward. A few pics posted on the net with location would have made people aware. A few sly jabs in the ribs to mimic an OTB would not have gone amiss, it’s not like there was two of you in a remote location with no witnesses.

Just purchased the tool tonyd suggested. Any options for installing crown race on steerer?

A cheap, but useable tool seems the way forward.

I agree with the comments about cross threading b/b’s! Always a concern that its going in OK but not managed to cross thread one yet!

No, that is the problem, it’s a small company and it’s the first occurrence in the time I have been here.

I have notified them in accordance with employment law, as pdw points out.

Cant few ebay at work! Will take a look at home!

I’ve used one before (cyclus?) but not available to use anymore and begrudge paying a lot of money for something I may use once every couple of years! Although I don’t want to damage the frame!

I’ll try and give ACAS another call in the next few days.

I say professional practice, some of the stuff here is beyond belief!

Speaking to ACAS we’re in a strong position though on a number of items.
