To remove any van envy. Mine is sporting the fetching AA yellow and the inside is a scrap yard at the moment but I have two days of serious fettling then it’s off to followed by a couple of days touching up, then ROAD TRIP!!!! (well Kirroughtree, dalbeattie and mabie) .

I’ve just got fixed on drivers side and a tailgate one, Wind deflectors on the cab windows can allow them to be cracked open for ventilation without allowing water in.

I’m carpeting the inside and setting the electrics up for connection. Interior lights will be sorted this weekend as well.

The car park at inners was a state on Monday.

Why not just take it home. Your kit will need sorting anyway just pick up the rubbish too.

The coolant properties would be more of an issue i’d have thought but i wouldn’t stress about it.

Ah, so it’s not the erosion that is causing people to ride. Damn punctuation.

Mine is through Adrian Flux but will be through Brentacre next. They are pretty cheap and charge no extra when you modify as long as it’s not performance, only thing you have to do is keep them informed.

    Calcium Oxide (lime)

Always thought concrete, cement and mortar were pretty much the same thing with different stuff added.

Glass mainly silicon dioxide but with some calcium oxide to depress the melting point.

Pretty easy homework assuming it’s on thermal decomposition of Calcium Carbonate and teh uses of Calcium Oxide.

Not as close as you’d think and when on the “bike” it’s fine.

Hot due to the still air though and i get through 750(ish)cals in 45mins.

Double sessions on Wednesdays. Have done the tri-athlete class and Brian’s had me killing myself on the Watt bikes.

Good way to get 45 minutes of hard work done. The cyclist based ones are hard work.

No rest and no free wheeling. I like it. Still need to get dirty mind.

    Oh and it’s Lifescycles[/url]

DRifts were cheap enough to make it worth while. Them and a block of wood with a big hole drilled in it. And hammer for the obligatory twatting.

    <Organic Chemist>

I’d assume that given correct stoichiometry the wet chemistry would be reasonably accurate, at best comparable to modern analytical techniques.

Plenty of blocking an destruction of well established “off route” and secret stuff, which, i confess, i do not understand.

THat’s be good, ply arriving today hopefully.

    Ingredients

    570ml/1 pint milk
    55ml/2fl oz single cream
1 vanilla pod or ½ tsp vanilla extract
    4 eggs, yolks only
    30g/1oz caster sugar
    2 level tsp cornflour

As opposed to the cornflour thing which is just erm……..cornflour. As above it’s a solid to liquid ratio. custard has much less cornflour and so is not non-newtonian.
    you’d need loads more cornflour.

Oh and custard is not non-newtonian. The Brianiac used a cornflour mix (In Richard Hammond’s pool). It has to do with particle to liquid ratios. It’s why sand near the water is hard but when the water runs over it you sink.

If you doubt the above about custard get some and stir it quickly, now get some cornflour slowly mix in a little water until you have no lumps now stir it quickly.

Yeah. The RAF adopted Apache Gunships some years ago. It was probably on a training mission.
That’ll come as a shock to the Army Air Corps!

I had a Sunn Total comp for about 7 years and now my mate has it for his kids. No sign of any stress.

Great frame, just a bit too long for my short arms.

vwt4forum is full of info, insulation will be usefull generally.

I’m using the B&Q re-cycled bottle stuff into the cavities then foil bubble wrap stuff over that. Ply should be arriving next week (well hopefully Friday but you know, sod’s law and all that).

So the big yella tranporta will be toastie in a week or so.

Then it’s carpeting after the electrics are sorted.

No one ever died from sore legs (Lance Armstrong).

Things'll be alright in the end. If they're not alright it ain't the end.

What's the worst that can happen?

JCL is that not what happens though?

Why would a team pay millions for a driver and then not build to car to suit him? And if you have a world Champ with the potential to be WC next season do you not pour money into getting the best car to get his potential?
Yes you cater for all in the team but by the time MS was thrice WC then surely you, as a team, milk the cash cow by making sure he wins and to do that you design around him. See Red Bull and the "taking Webbers wing" as an example from this season.

    I know i'm taking a simplistic view but….

FC, in order to maintain themselves have a certain pot of money coming from various sources, if one of those sources is reduced either outgoings have to be reduced or FC has to be reduced. The latter is worst case scenario for them as they have already cut things to the bone internally. So what goes? Obviously things that do not make a paper profit. GT will be the last to go big money spinner and huge advert for them with little, comparatively, cost. Inners/DBT/Kirroughtree/Mabie must be close to paying their own way. Glebtrool and the likes of laggan, and i do not have the numbers, possibly not enough people through the door to make it worth while in the long term.

Oh and as with all short sighted/monied business plans, expansion then maintenance will fall by the wayside until scrapping becomes an obvious option.

    To paraphrase the Big Yin;

"There's a set of rules, you don't get to know the rules, if you should figure out any of the rules, the rules will be changed to a whole new set of rules"

    Here endeth the lesson.
