Happens to me in the van. Park in the middle of a vast empty car park and come back to find someone’s parked right under my wing mirror. Making it limbo time to get in.

Yeah i’ve got them on the HT and they work well. Plenty powerful enough for my needs and to be fair i tend to hit corners at speeds which needs to be scrubbed quite quickly.

It’s simple really they’re putting the tram on the track then you get on at one end walk to the seat at the other end have a wee sit down then get off at the stop. You will have travelled approx the length of the tram that’s the future of the Edinburgh tram scheme.

Not being able to disguise when i don’t like someone.

Apparently childish muttering and being super nice are a dead give away.

Think about Newcastle to Amsterdam. Much easier drive this side, overnight crossing and the euro side is a cruise with fewer tolls. Although pricier than the tunnel it was 150 miles shorter to Alpe d’heuz.

The fact that i only had an hours drive this side swung it for me.

THanks everyone. Feel sorry for the jogger who stopped just as i realised there was nothing more i could do. Finding a grown man, soaking wet, kneeling on a snowy path, crying onto a dog must be weird.

Thanks all. He was brilliant and for a dog who could have had huge issues had none, apart from humping a stuffed Bagpuss.

At least two of those tries had “flat passes”, actually forward, even allowing for the forward momentum of the player and ball.

It’s really a Beckham question pretending to be geography.

and school doesn’t finish until then either

Bloody hell, we finish up on Friday.

(Before we here the bloody teachers quips, its been a Shi’ite term, spent too many hours chasing parents, kids, teachers for reference stuff for their UCAS forms.)

Oh and yes we are lazy Bar-stewards who get far too many holidays 🙂

TBC i’ll bring him in sometime. There’s a springer cross who looked brilliant. he’s not on the website. The problem with going there is you want to take them all.

And they’ll ask a question on the easy stuff you’ve just taken as read. I was asked about the basic mechanism and completely blanked. Could draw out all the complex ones and explain why mine was more valid than the standard accepted one but the easy basic mech ………blank.

Oh and time is irrelevant. Mine took 45minutes mates took 4 hours.

At work/school, we had a service remembering all the 3500+ pupils, ex-pupils and staff who fought in both WW. from the 17 yo piper on the somme to the brothers who died within a month of each other in 603 squadron. End of the two minutes marked by a pipers lament.

A few damp eyes and thoughtful faces.

As I always tell my form class. Don’t do anything silly; if you do don’t record in photos or video, if you do don’t show anyone or post it anywhere, if you do you’re pretty much caught.

    Here endeth the lesson

I’m an Operating Authority Manager (among other things) think the letter will be just a i want to do it because…….and i will get……. out of the award. Possibly and idea of what she wants to do in the four sections.

I’ve just returned from the Scottish General Conference and the number of kids taking DofE up is increasing but the volunteers is not so some groups have to limit the numbers (which is mightily unfair but may be needed to stop dilution of quality) also people who have thought about it carefully are more likely to complete and as with everything if budgets have to be sought a target has to be set and achieved.

But forget the politics and tell her to go for it. I spoke with some inspiring young people this weekend and that’s why we do it.

Northwind, really? Plenty of Transporter conversions floating around Edinburgh. I pass two on the mile and a bit into work and if you include mine that’s three.

I don’t know about the fashionista aspect but i bought mine because it was the best tool for a particular job. Size, comfort, quality, overall feel and stealth camping (also it is 5cm shorter than the majority of carpark height barriers).

I’m mid-(semi)conversion of a T5. No cupboards etc but with enough functionality for me to be comfy for weeks abroad or in the ‘Puffer.
SO far insulation and ply/carpeting, leisure battery, leds, second ipod compatable stereo. sleeping platform across between the re-inforced wheelarch boxes(at last being a shortarse pays off) which can act as a cooking platform when standing under the tailgate and storage underneath. Electrics will allow me to run a 12v fridge and a couple of other things. I can also get three bikes and all the kit needed in it. Always a two man tent there for use as well.

Cost so far of conversion is still sub £1k but it is taking a lot of inventions of new swear words.

Get 45mpg on a good steady drive.

Why doesn’t she get the Skype on her mobile then wait near a free wi-fi for the call?

Assumptions are the mobby will take the application and there’s free wi-fi close.

My aged parents have eaten in McD’s twice this year both times to use the wi-fi to skype.

As an 11 y.o. i phoned the fire brigade about because the gorse on the north side of the Forth Road Bridge was burning. (Me and a mate had decided to take a trip over the bridge on our bikes). First thing that happened was we got accused of starting the fire, quite aggressively, by the FB then the police.

As i kid i remember thinking that it would have been less hassle to just let it burn.

I once had “outwith” questioned in an official document i wrote for a NATO group. Big boss looked it up in dictionary (as if it’s not self-explanatory) and sent down a note saying it was OK for me to use it because it’s got “common” use in Scotland.
