Those maps are interesting in the way that China sticks out as either not surveyed or not religious. I’m thinking not religious= not surveyed!

what about all the other cultures that believe in a higher being or something “other”. It’s the same thing right? It’s a belief system. just doesn’t have a label? To me, that evidence suggest it’s a pretty important part of being Human. Mindless Creationists can go suck a F&*^ though lol.

alright! I’m just typing train of though stuff, not saying I’m right like  I think maybe in the past some of the best stuff was created to be like God? or in reverence to a God. To achieve greatness. It’s not like that now, but you can’t deny that Religion also has had a positive effect on humans. I’m being Devils advocate here btw.

nah Molgrips some of the best buildings and sculpture ever have been built and funded by religion. Some of those great artists and craftsmen would just be messing about with charcoal for pennies otherwise! Michaelangelo would’ve been sat about doing portraits in the square rather than jazzing up the Sistine chapel with the best Art materials at the time. Back in the day the big jobs were paid for by the church or Royalty. The only reason some of the good stuff still exists is cos it was tucked away in Gods House for Centuries 😉

Don’t buy supermarket plastic snow shovels. They all break and hold up all the snow shovelling. Those black plasticky ones on the end of a stick. Proper useless, snap after a few shovels. Whoever designed them needs a proper kicking.

Thing is with Religion/Higher Power etc is that it seems to be a really important Human Concept. Don’t 90% of Earths population have some sort of religious belief? dunno the stats. It’s all some delusional mental illness then? Imagine a world without all that fantastic Art and Music and Great Buildings and Literature all inspired or influenced by Religion in one way or another. Our cultural history would be pretty empty. I’m not Religious or even “spiritual” btw. Just saying that it produces good stuff too 🙂

I agree. Alpine’s a nice looking bike for bumpy stuff. I don’t think any full sussers look good. that whole jumble of rear shock makes a bike look messy.

so is my £8 polaroid 5 metre hdmi cable going to really mess with my enjoyment of the next couple of series of Breaking Bad? It won’t make it any better by spoending a shitload of money on a cable!! There is a point where people will spend too much money on things just because they can, and they think it will improve life or something.

a good old classic steel frame like the old KOna’s or like that lovely fillet brazed 853 Killi Flyer that keeps popping up on classifieds. Stick some nice bits on that 120mm forks and I reckon you are good to go fo most uk riding.

Elite. Such a simple an immersive idea. Brilliant. I was 13 though, I think you have to be 13 to be really mad for computer games. Also, part of the experience with Elite was the fact that I had to get on my bmx and go round friends houses to dock their ships cos I had mad skilz. I lost a couple of friends to docking computers! I wonder what they are doing now.

the rise n rise of Kraftwerk as cyclists. How some crazy German cyclists went a bit crazy and invented some great music and being a bit mad for road cycling.

That’d make a great bit of tv? it’s been done hasn’t it? not strictly movie material I suppose

Mp’s should house butterflies and look after lame dogs. They should walk along slightly windy beaches with a a semi tousled semi greying quiff and a labrador. They should be a bit wrinkled, but only in the wrinklebrow. They should love qualitly local portraiture by local artists (VERY GOOD LIKENESS). THEY…AHHHH **** EM..

people do mental things when they have the resources, like spend £900 on a dishwashing machine 😀 Perhaps that particular bike belonged to some rich executive when he was a kid or sommat?

Holy crap that’s a lot of money! is time so precious you have to gain back those valuable minutes even from doing a spot of washing up? I find a sink, a few plates etc, a bit of warm water and some suds quite theraputic myself, it takes a few mins. Even if I won the lottery I can’t see myself getting a **** dishwasher, unless I bought a restaraunt/hotel or something! I can think of 100 better ways to blow 900 quid!!

maybe it’s childhood memories as well? When I was a little kid in mid wales my dad used to take us to a farm to get all our veg. I remember popping peapods and eating carrots in a field and them being really sweet and tasty (I wouldn’t eat ’em otherwise). So is it my childhood nostalgia influencing my tastebuds? (old man hat) what do kids percieve as natural and tasty now? is supermarket food bland? is the process of getting the food too simple and monotonous? are my tastebuds killed by booze? I’m going on wikipedia!…

That’s a quality bit Somafunk. That’ll be “Scrubbers”. really memorable then!

Luke meeting his mum in her Car in Cool Hand Luke and then playing his banjo :(. Rutger Hauers improvised speech in Blade Runner death scene. The bit in One Flew Over The Cookoos nest where Randall takes the “nuts” out on the boat 🙂

the best place I’ve lived for cheap, varied, fresh fruit and veg, straight off a boat, open 24hrs, was when I lived in Dalston, London. If those Turkish boys opened up a shop here in Llandudno I’d be all over it!

NIce one Rescott. don’t think stw realise us supermarket workers actually graft our asses off and follow all sorts of criteria just so they can bitch and moan! If you aren’t happy with the service, Go straight to customer service and slag off person/availablity/freshness or whatever that pished you off. It’s a form of quality control, by customers. If enough customers make noises, things change.
