I certainly have problems with some sort of aesthetic us blokes are meant to achive. I’ve got enough about me to know and realise those images are impossible unattainable images though. And that’s that, just do healthy stuff like cycling. bollocks to some sort of image(or job/life) you are supposed to attain. get a grip! Same for women!

this is one of the most interesting threads as far as I’m concerned. What really interests me is why and what attracts someone to a certain picture or painting. It’s great putting up links to cool stuff, I just wonder what makes certain paintings/art so involving and important. especially the older conservative portrait painting stuff. Why is that so great?

it’s like anything else isn’t it. Really difficult to label a bunch of people in a certain area with a certain prejudice or not. The label will be put if it is financially viable. If it was about humanitarian concerns it’d be somewhere else I suspect. Terrible things happen all over the world all the time.

I like the idea that we are one conciousness, just seperate. And it’d be better for us to find ways to converge and to become one conciousness to better ourselves together. I mean everybody. Take away the politics and land masses and Corporate power etc. Everyone as one together. Now that’s a great ideolagy, but it will take hundreds of years before it will ever come true. before we can all get over fighting amongst ourselves about power and control. I do think that is something to strive for. I have also had a few beers 😀

I used a mates snow pole for the first time the other day, like a really light third leg. I’m not a natural tripod 😉 but it made me feel more confident on certain snowy bits. Don’t think I’ll use 2 cos I want a hand free.
