Yes, cubic yards. I have measured it – after I spotted a crudely soldered “12 yd” on the side of it!

    Yes that sounds best

EDIT Filling it anyway I mean.

I have 7 of those bags anyway, just built a garage base!

Why is the OP getting a hard time for mentioning that the cyclist had no helmet on? He hasn’t suggested that a helmet would have saved him, but it’s worth mentioning because it’s further evidence that the cyclist is either ignorant or indifferent about safety.

Regardless of whether he’s right or wrong about his rock pools and so on, the polite and dignified manner in which jammasterjay1974 has conducted himself throughout the thread certainly stands out. Perhaps his kids won’t turn out to be little brats after all 😉

Why not home school your kids, you seem confident that you know everything?

I agree fasthaggis, it’s not something I would do and nor would it help me. Each to their own though, and if some people find it helps them then I’ve nothing against it.

EDIT As in the deceased’s family/friends. What scaredypants is talking about re people you didn’t know, that completely baffles me.

…but it looked like the driver in the orange hairdryer did clock him in the wing door mirror and pitched him out on purpose.

    Mondeo – £132 WHAT?

I was just looking at 7 seaters

    No you weren’t.

Junkyard knows that people only post thread titles that turn out to be spoilers deliberately, and never by accident.

With psychic powers as good as that it would be impossible to avoid any result anyway, so ‘spoilers’ make no difference whatsoever to him.

    Therefore, junkyard is a troll.

Trek Stache actually. F all to do now I’ve finished deliberating that one.

Surely more to do with the legality of selling them without the relevant sticker rather than the safety of them?

    Yes indeed mrmo.

Wondering rather than worrying (it’s a slow day here today now that I’ve fixed the washing machine).

Yeah 🙂 just reading the stuff about grey imports without CE marks, although I’m sure they wouldn’t make a separate somewhat shitter version for outside the EU!

Thanks mrmo. Not likely to be any issues for the end customer though, are there?

Didn’t realise they were the same company. I guess a decent helmet for £45 is the main thing!

    No, a Bell.

mikes smith I guess that makes sense.

It’s a current year model according to the website but that is what I really wondered about. Guess if there are plenty of other reasons it should be fine.

Thanks. Can’t build it myself as it’ll be (predominantly) B2W. Local independent has Trek, Spesh or Scott, or there’s an Alpine bikes which can also get Genesis or Whyte.

Cheers fellas. Just looking at some of these suggestions.

Now, just to be sure, when Americans say ‘clyde’ they just mean lard arse, yes?

A word of warning; whilst the frame seems strong, I think the wheels are made from cheese..

    Noted

Nice! I’ve just checked these out and I reckon you’ll be ok since they appear to be covered in an aggressive looking pattern which’ll tie in perfectly with the LT hardtail.

TFFT – wouldn’t want to look soft

Life was much simpler when you only had to decide on frame size and maybe if you wanted to upgrade to a Girvin Flex Stem

And a Marin Muirwoods was luminous yellow and had a little pulley under the stem…

One of my riding buddies has the Trek, I can’t get near him, especially when its rough.

Which one does he have and is he fat big boned?

So back to coal then. Are we saying that while everyone else’s gets used up, we’re still sitting on millions of tons of it waiting for the price of it to start going up?

I’m a rubbish driver – this is not acceptable.

Which is why many people have been encouraging you to do some more driver training, to get yourself up to scratch.

Just because they’re all more competent drivers than you and can judge the situation better doesn’t make them all discourteous.

I struggle with long sentences but can someone tell me if a decent chunk of the thread is molgrips going on about people not letting him take his turn at overtaking?

I’ll eat my hat if its not in there somewhere.

EDIT I don’t know how that works but I struggle with long sentences gets automatically changed to I struggle with long sentences. Bravo 🙂

    EDIT Oh FFS

It’s highly unlikely that Morrissons car park would be defined as “private”
I think you might find it is.

FFS bregante gave you a huge clue –

It’s highly unlikely that Morrissons car park would be defined as “private” as the public have access over it so under the road traffic act it would fall into the category of a “road, or other public place”

    – and in your determination to be a clever clogs you still failed 🙂

    From his own facebook

In my comment I wasn’t at all flattering towards the police saying that I have no respect for the police that break there own rules and that they should be leading by example, I even went on to say that they are mere civil servants on a power trip.

(Don’t know if anyone cut and pasted it already)

Today one of my lecturers issued an in class MCQ examinations, you get four choices of answers.

    Out of 26 questions.

1 of her answers was totally wrong.

1 of her questions was so badly worded it didn’t make sense.

3 questions were effectively trick questions who’s choice of answers were open to interpretation – eg “What’s the most important aspect of evidence based medicine….. data or patient care” Errrr data because you can’t give patients good care without good evidence. That’s the whole point of EBM. Her answer was patient care, apparently I’m on a nursing course not a Med Stats course.

1 question had two answers that were exactly the same.

    I didn’t understand 6 of them
