“When I say whoa I mean whoa”

Best line ever in a cartoon from Foghorn Leghorn

“Fortunately, I keep my feathers numbered for just such an emergency”(Each time his feathers are blown off).”

If you’re getting it blasted then the bearings will be full of cack when it’s done.

If you’re getting it powder coated then any grease left in the bearings will melt and leak out and spoil your paintwork.

Take them out, tell the painter where you need it masked and then replace them.

If you’re just getting it rubbed down and painted then leave them in but if it’s going anywhere near an oven to bake the paint I’d take them out.

Better to be safe than sorry

This works for me……Do something completely unrelated to the interview that’s mentally distracting but not taxing. Lots of daft games on http://www.Miniclip.com

Looking at their website or going thro’ loads of company bumph will just frazzle your head coz if you don’t know it now then you never will.

Best of luck fella…..I’ve been there 3 times before and I know it’s not easy.

Let us know how you got on

Shouldn’t be more than 3mm below the top of the stem so if much more than that I’d go with the Crank Bros headset option or you could use a Headlock (would be cheaper than a new headset) if it wasn’t too much

I’ve read up to page 4 this morning and now can’t be arsed to read any more.

Could somebody please give me a one liner summarising the next 4 pages?

Has the OP got his bits yet?

Has the seller given him a refund or have the KKK been round to invite him to a neck tie party?

Also if you can still get a video called “does humour belong in music?” get it and watch in wonderment at the whole band

Chad Whackerman…..best name for a drummer ever

    **** awesome

I saw zappa at wembley arena (poss the same tour as Dr Bike) and it was sh!te. a few hours of my life I’ll never get back. The problem with Zappa is that his output was so huge that you’re not going to like all of it. Some of it is fabulous and some is total dross.

Girder like stiffness. quite light tho

I prefered my compo which is like a jack flash but proper sized

The drop out is pressed steel not cast. The ridge you can see is cause by incorrect clearance between the top and bottom dies of the stamping tool. Alternatively the bottom die may need a lick with a grinder to sharpen it.

Normally you wouldn’t notice this because of the paint but as it’s a clear lacquer frame it seems very obvious. It will not affect the strength of the part at all

£7k car allowance or fully expensed car were my options

I took the car coz not only would I pay tax on the allowance but I’d have to give 20% to my ex-wife (courtesy of the CSA) and no way was she getting any of that

Trimix With motorbikes they always quote the dry weight which as you say doesn’t include petrol, coolant and oil. It also doesn’t include brake fluid, battery acid and any grease.

My old VFR had a quoted dry weight of 197kg and had a wet weight of 222kg. Being able to say it’s below 200kg is a good sales pitch

A copper once told me if you have an up and over door get a long piece of wooden dowel and put it in the runner for the door on both sides as an extra stopper. You cannot get the door open at all without bending it which makes a lot of noise. Also easy to remove for you when you need access.

This works for slidey secondary double glazing and patio doors too

use nitromors (or similar) paint stripper and give it **** good wash before you spray it

    Degrease it using thinners

    get the paint you want.

Mask up the bits you don’t want painted (low tack masking tape is best)

Leave the frame in the house before you paint it for a while so that it’s warm and put the paint aerosols in warm water before you use them

two coats of etch primer (get the right colour primer for your top coat paint) then a couple of coats of top coat

Thin coats are better than thick (it’ll run if it’s too thick)

then if you want to a couple of coats of lacquer

    Take off the masking tape

Leave it for a couple of days to dry and then put your decals on

    Assemble the bike

    Go for a ride

    Have fun :D
