Selfishly they don’t wear tshirts that say “I’m a Paedo” or “Hey…..fancy a bit of rohipnol”

If you are doing stuff like this you will be good at hiding it. They know it’s wrong so they will create a lie around what they are doing so it’s no surprise that people don’t notice. Also people think other people act like they do….so if you wouldn’t do it you expect other people won’t either.

When interviewed friends of psycho’s, paedos, etc never say “what a freakin’ weirdo…always knew he was a wrong ‘un”

According to STW the price of your 26″ wheeled bike can plummet as well as go down

If you were happy with what you got let it go. You can ask what you like on Ebay…..doesn’t mean you’ll get it

    Saves you a job.
    Go to the shop.
    Be nice.
    Get it fixed.
And get a freebie or two.
    Win.

    Be grateful this didn’t happen

Think yourself lucky it didn’t bend the hanger, snap the mech and take out half the spokes!

I use it as a starting point but then move it as required dependent on frame, etc to fine tune my position but most of mine are fairly close to one another. Position will vary between people because we’re all different shapes with longer and shorter arms and legs

Like all things give it a go, your legs might ache at various points if you get it wrong but you won’t die

I still like bike tart stuff these days but am a lot more selective about what I buy. I buy what I ride most so have just got a pickenflick to replace a 2004 Kona Major Jake

I’ve got to the point with mtb’s that my bike has 26″ wheels with 9 speed XTR and if I wanted to change to new stuff I’ll have to replace the whole bike

Of course the fact that it works extremely well means I don’t have to change it at all unless I believe all the marketing crap and buy a 650b.

I used to do the upgrade thing on MTBs but when you realise that what was a great bike one year is still a great bike the following year regardless of what else has come out or what fashion dictates what we should all buy

Although I might build a 650b trail bike (because I never have) using a 456 Carbon I have hanging in my garage….but then again I might not…….that’s the joy of being an adult (my daughter may disagree with that) I can build what I want without worrying about what anybody else thinks

    and breathe………rant over

Here’s the Tech Drawing for the Headtube so you can search for matching headsets

I think you could possibly get all the bits but getting them individually may be a challenge

I’ve only ridden it so far with 28mm Conti road tyres on different wheels but it is a smooth and stable ride. It doesn’t feel like it’s flexing and is a definitely comfier ride than the Kona Major Jake it replaced.

I’m looking forward to trying it out with the CX tyres and might even give it a whirl roundsome of CX course in Campbell Park and take it to Woburn.

Framw quality wise…..it looks nicely welded, it fitted together without any hassles, all the threads were good and it looks straight. My only hassle was fitting the Rotor 3D road chainset. I had to put a 1mm spacer behind the drive side BB cup so the chainring bolt cleared the frame

I’ll let you know how I get on.

I got an integrated FSA (FSA C-40, No.42ACB) one off of On One which will do for the moment but will look for a better one in a few months

I’ve had 591’s before so know how they clamp. My concern is the contact area of the clamping as the bottom of the frame is only a couple of mm wide. The side to side grip of 532 would make more contact.

I suppose using a cam closing mechanism may require more force to clamp but have better surface area contact. Possibly the top to bottom compression strength of a teardrop shaped tube is greater than the side to side section

I guess there’s always a trade off somewhere

Thanks Simon but I don’t want to clamp on the forks as I’ll need two sizes and I’m bound to always have the wrong one on the car

When your on your small 34t ring – how much room is there between the front mech and the nano 40c tyres?

    Any chance of a pic?

    About 11 of your finest millimeters….and it’s a 39 tooth ring

How long have you had the pedals and how much use have they had?

You could get it CMM’d which would probably be easier to find and cheaper. It depends how much detail you want/need. CMM measurement with a tidy up on a CAD would get you a drawing and/or CAM programme

    Hi Mark

What size of frame are you after and have you got your heart set on steel

I’m selling my 60cm Kona Major Jake frame and Kinesis DC19 forks. I can include a Hope headset and seatpost clamp and can include a cutdown thomson elite post or a 3T carbon post. The frame is scandium, disc and canti compatible

Would do it all with carbon post for £200 posted or £180 collected

Here’s a pic of the complete bike

Let me know if you’re interested or want more info

    Cheers

    Ken

XL’s will only sell to XL people and there aren’t that many of us about so limited market

It’s a 2010 frame regardless of when you bought it

The parts on the bike are a bit low end for the frame a mix of slx and deore doesn’t cut it on an almost £1000 SH bike and the bits you’ve left on the frame and fork are no incentive to buy it

Not worth as much as you think

I looked into this for my daughter and it was cheaper to insure her in her own right after she passed her test. It’s gonna be **** expensive anyway so they might as well take the hit now as later

1 series coupe is effectively a two seater as the back seat is hard to get into and there’s not a lot of room and to carry a bike it will be on the roof or on the boot lid at least you get a partially dismantled bike in a scirocco
