I’d probably leave it in your position. Even if you pay someone to do it I’m not sure it’s a good idea for most users, as you’re effectively removing a layer of security from the phone.

Delete the apps you can and remove the rest from the home screen.

Yes it’s always worth asking about postage. Plenty of sellers are happy to arrange it despite listing collection only.

eBay puts limits on how much you can charge for postage so you can see why people may not want to list a heavy low value item with a postage option.

Saris Bones is nice, you still have to strap it into place so it won’t be as quick as something permanently fitted. It’s very well designed and you can leave the straps attached as one piece once you have it set up for your car.

As something you can easily fold away to go in a boot/cupboard it’s great.

Some of the places advertising UK delivery aren’t, I’ve had stuff turn up weeks later with Chinese customs labels on.

If the delivery date stated on the purchase has passed you can probably open a dispute through eBay.

As a long term investment it makes sense, even major recessions have only been relatively small dips in overall growth.

May not be so good if you’re likely to need to access the money in the next few years.

I was making offers on something recently and everything was rejected until finally they accepted 1p lower than the main price (I was having fun by this time).

You were apparently prepared to pay the asking price so why would they settle for less? Though it is weird to ask for offers but not accept any.

It’s good to know so many people approve of women going outside.

I have the Tab A6, nice tablet for the price but the speakers aren’t anything special.

So when you pull out of a side road you can’t see properly out of your kid screams and gets wiped out…

Think of it as an opportunity to teach your kids road safety.

You put a box in the front for cargo/children. Look up ‘bakfiets’.

Vivosmart HR+ for me, was £100 from Amazon. Vivoactive looks nice but I wanted something I can wear as an all day activity tracker, and the Vivoactive is twice the size.

GPS accuracy is a lot better than my phone’s, and from reviews the heart rate tracking is about as good as you’ll get without a chest strap. It’s also fully waterproof if you’re ever inclined to take it swimming.

Only downside for me is no cycling specific mode, it will still track GPS route and speed and I can set the activity as cycling afterwards so it’s not a big deal.

Probably just found somewhere he can leave cars and not have to pay for it.

I am genuinely perplexed by the amount of anger that’s out there and it is getting worse in the SE of England in my experience where so many road users seem to be on a hair trigger waiting for the smallest excuse to explode into rage.

The roads are so overcrowded down here, driving gets so stressful. From an outside perspective occasional road closures for events are obviously not the cause of the problem.

But when you’re driving it’s because you need to get somewhere, you have a car so why should you walk or use public transport. You’re not being selfish, it’s everyone else holding you up that make the roads so busy.

Not sure if it helps, but for my grandad we got an ‘Ownfone’. It’s a very basic preprogrammed phone that holds a few emergency numbers with a button for each. He wears it on a cord round his neck.

Old consoles look fine as long as you set the scaling options right.

I really doubt there’s enough pressure in bicycle brakes to deform a standard hose. Some people claim its a worthwhile upgrade for cars but even then I don’t think there’s a definite answer.

It’s best not to be lured in by tech buzzwords but HDR looks genuinely worthwhile. It’s a new colour standard rather than a gimmick feature, and good colour is one of the most immediately noticeable things about a TV.

4k probably not necessary unless you’re buying a giant screen. I do like high dpi displays but I spend way too much time in front of screens.

I have an Amazon basics one, really good for £30. Not pocket sized but easy to pack for holiday. Long battery life, reasonable quality sound and loud.

UE Boom/Roll are supposed to be among the best portable ones, cost a fair bit more but they’re waterproof/drop resistant too.

The timber bell looks nice for shared trail riding, I think I’ll give one a try.

Re the rant, do you ever find ringing a bell makes people jump/stumble/glare at you? Not a lot of cyclists in my area which might be why, I find it easier to slow down and give pedestrians a wide berth.

“No payment gateways have been set up for this website. It will not be possible to make an on-line payment for your goods, please contact the retailer.”

    Was worth a try.
