Personally, I’d not buy on those terms.

Me neither, but I also don’t think it’s unreasonable to dispute the charge.

What if the shop said “if you want to return this we may or may not charge you an unspecified sum”?

I used gorilla glue to do this as a lazy fix. Doesn’t fill the gaps but it holds well.

I think it’s more that losing grip at the front leads to understeer rather than slewing your car all over the road.

But there’s conflicting advice on rotating tyres depending who you ask. I wouldn’t take chances with tyres personally, given the huge effect they have on your ability to control the car.

Was planning on heading to swinley tomorrow but 9.30’s a bit early for me so don’t wait around.

Does anyone have any idea what we are still arguing about? We’ve gone round in circles so many times I’m not sure I can stand up.

No idea, but please don’t stop now

Maybe Fitbit Flex 2 for a basic waterproof one?

I have a Garmin Vivosmart HR+ but it might be a bit too chunky for smaller wrists, and has features it doesn’t sound like your wife will use. I don’t think their cheaper models are fully waterproof.

Do a Kickstarter (and see how many Chinese manufacturers can copy you and beat you to market).

Last one is Leningrad I think, but it doesn’t look like standard Russian Cyrillic.

It lets you measure how much you’re exerting yourself, once you work out your resting and maximum heart rate.

If you’re happy pacing yourself without one it’s certainly not necessary, but it’s useful for training with specific goals in mind.

44mm I think, Google brings up various forum posts asking about it but I can’t find official spec (Voodoo Bizango).

Anyone have experience of using tapered forks with a straight head tube? I’ve checked it is possible to get an appropriate headset for my frame but it would raise the front end. Not sure how much difference it would make to the handling.

Will be shipped from China. You may or may not get hit with import taxes and it will be hard to return it if there’s any problems. Up to you if the saving is worth it.

It’s hard to sell people a tiny bottle of squash for the same price as a big bottle, even if they make the same amount diluted.

Don’t get pets unless you’re sure you still want pets in a year’s time.

Drops if I’m going fast on the road or my hands are aching, otherwise I’m on the hoods most of the time. Drops off road feel awkward, maybe with flared bars it works.

if you were in a car going over a jump, you wouldn’t lift off your seat or bounce it down to help get airborne would you? The Dukes never did anyway!

Actually you might, kind of. You can see stadium trucks dab their brakes before hitting a ramp to bring the nose down, with the rebound and acceleration up the ramp pushing it back up and stopping the truck pitching forward in the air.

Doesn’t really matter who blames who, presumably sales and site manager are part of the same company and shouldn’t be involving you in their argument.

Hope you get it sorted soon.

While we’re at it, how to manual? I’ve been watching videos and loitering in car parks to practice for months and don’t feel any closer to when I started.

I can pop my front wheel up for small obstacles but can’t get anywhere near balancing it.

You’d still have to go outside if they didn’t offer online renewal.

Aren’t hybrids just mountain bikes with bad or no suspension anyway?

Nice road. Maybe upgrade the fork and brakes on your current bike as you’ve already identified them as a problem?

If you want a new bike then a big wheel/big tyre bike will make that kind of terrain a lot easier, as above.

Not personally but the Band 2 has plenty of good reviews and can be had for under £20.

Xiaomi are a major company that don’t just make knock offs. I don’t think the saving you’ll get from anything cheaper is worth it.

Practice braking with the front only somewhere flat and open. Sounds like you’re worried about crashing but straight line front braking should be more stable and effective than using the rear.

Go for a Xiaomi band if you want a super cheap one.

How big is the range of possible values for each client? If it’s limited you can simplify things by using a column for each.

    kelron

So you want to know how many times ‘value 1’ and ‘value 2’ appear for each client, then have a list of which of ‘no1” ‘no2’ etc appear for that client?

RAC cut my renewal quote by 3/4 when I said I was leaving. AA by comparison offered me £2.50 off as a goodwill gesture.

BT fibre was great for me, will depend on your area though. The postcode checker on their site should give you expected and minimum speeds.

Had I think one major outage (ie a few hours) in 3 or 4 years and occasional brief disruptions late at night. Other than that had close to advertised speeds 24/7.

There’s short loop of wide featureless track for the kids, and a play area by the car park. What more do they need?

I was driving the other day, came round a corner and found 2 cyclists in front of me. I managed to avoid them but they tried to start a fight when I stopped to yell at them. Some people are just assholes, what can you do about it.

Separate learner insurance might be cheaper if you want it short term to give him some practice. Maybe wait until he’s had a few hours with an instructor in a dual control car, unless you have a private area to drive in.

I’ve never been burgled, so I took all the locks off my house and car.

It’s more like having a burglar alarm that only ever goes off when you unlock your door.

AV has never been anything other than an annoyance for me, with the performance impact and constant nagging.

On a computer where someone’s likely to open weird email attachments, click ads and install software from unknown places it makes sense.

Ditched all AV a while back. Never had anything except false positives from one.

It’s not just the static weight of the bike and rider but the weight transfer that has a huge effect on grip. Body position will change a bicycle’s handling more than a motorbike’s.

A motorbike is also likely to be going faster round a corner, meaning greater force trying to push the bike upright which the rider needs to counteract.

    Fair enough.

Carcassonne, Catan are fun and easy to learn as a family game. Dominion is great but not quite as easy to pick up.

Coup is a fun bluffing game with quick rounds.

Are you using Risk as an example of something too boring or too complex? Hopefully the former.

Does your son have any interest in strategy games or are you trying to force your own interests on him?
