Bit out of the way from midlands but we had a really good day with Kanku (spelling?) based in Windermere. Drove round Tilberthwaite and the Langdales on a gorgeous day. Three vehicles, defenders and shogun, wife and I had no instructors in car just on radio from other vehicle. Very helpful and an all round good day out!

Moved into our present house in 1996 and when redecorating one of the bedrooms stripped off the wallpaper to find a stunning line painting of Marvin Hagler done by a guy called Richard Sloane. He now lives and works in America and has drawn all the great boxers, was a good friend of Joe Frazier and his paintings go for thousands.
If only I could have got the plaster off the wall intact!

Got one on cycle2work scheme in July and its fine. Changed the brakes after about 2 rides cos of the avid din, fitted some Specialized tyres and a dropper post recently. No issues at all from my point of view. My son thinks its dangerous, as if he is going over the bars all the time, but its handled Grizedale (natural trails) and Claife Heights etc no worries. Oh yeah its been to work twice too!

Okay then got the 30T on but the X0 chain device fitted is only suitable for 36-32 rings so the top guide had to come off. Has anyone had issues dropping the chain without this? Got NW chain ring and a clutch mech so it should be ok right?

Thanks all. No way the original bolts were going in but pinched some off an old XT crankset and they were perfect. Away we go!

Unfortunately not. Mine had metal badges on the front and a painting of Ogri on the back. wore it over my biker jacket. It was ceremonially thrown in the Irish Sea returning from the TT one year!

    wrightyson,
I had the same issue with my Mega AM bought for me by my wife as a 50th birthday pressie. So much so I came close to selling it as i was really struggling. I fitted a Race Face N/W 32t chain ring from Merlin and it was sooo much better. Most of mine is Lakes riding.
Chain length was realistically a bit too long (maybe 1 link) but still functioned. It was only when I replaced the chain that I shortened it.

I live in a village just outside Barrow. My commute to work is about 5.5 miles on fairly quiet roads or shared path. We have 1 1/2 pubs, its lovely and quiet and the best bit is a lot of Barrovians dont even know where the village is!

Dirtydog, whatever it came with! Is it descender or something?? A lot of folk say go to 32 but the Hope 40t rex looks a possibilty. Today I was up round Tilberthwaite/Iron Keld and it didnt feel that far off usable, only the climb from the Tarn Hows footpath junction to Iron Keld was beyond a joke!
If I went for the Hope option would I need to change rear mech?

Not sure what your layout looks like but our top plate sits at an angle on top of the side plates with a ‘leg’ on each side running front to back. The baffle plate then sits on top and within the legs. When the top plate warped the legs spread (ooeerrr!) So the baffle plate could fall through the legs so it was a balancing act until it just wouldnt stay anymore.
Hope you get sorted cos winters coming!

Had the same thing a couple of times with my Morso Badger. Top plate seems to have shrunk but its the outer plate warped making the orifice larger. Think it cost about 70 quid to get new plates.
We used to use Blazers in the stove which are compressed wood about 3″ diameter by 12″ long. Made the living room like the inside of a nuclear reactor! I blame them for getting the stove too hot.

Cheers for the info everyone. Dont think infinity is available in our little village at the mo-will make enquiries but left BT to go to PO cos of garbage customer service.
Router is fairly recent (maybe 2 years old)got it off workmate who had switched to EE about 6 months ago. Will try ringing PO but recently have been unable to get through. Have always been answered in about 5mins max but last few times Ive tried I have actually given up!

    Bruneep,
Dont think so. Mate at work and also his parents have just left po for the same reason. Mate complained and po said nothing wrong with line and would cost 130 quid for engineer to call. Seems to have been capped for some reason.
    Cheers all.

Yeah probably. I am a comlete buffoon when it comes to setting suspension. When I was riding motorcycles people used to talk about one click here and there making a difference but I must have a leather arse or something-I coulsnt tell what was going on!

Cheers all. b r, tried different tyre pressures and fork pressures but will have another play. martymac, it doesnt need to be any more lively! Locally we have a common called Birkrigg which is not at all technical but it is even scary on that. My son who has ridden several hardtails (I havent ridden many) thought it was terrifying, so its not just me. Seem to have no control over where the front wheel goes. Like I siad I will have another fiddle this weekend.

Just watched this. Neighbours out for the day, house to myself for an hour or two, Bose system at 100. Awesome! Love the Rosie doll and For Those about to Rock was outstanding. Agree about the crowd-mental.

Good shout for 1992 Senior. I was at Hilberry cheering Foggy. When he came past on the last lap his bike looked and sounded like he had found it in a skip! Awesome race.
Wigan v St Helens June 2010. Always war between these two but this was an epic. 80 mins of sheer guts and violence, blood and broken bones then all smiles at the end. And a wonderful victory for Saints.

Just found this thread so may be too late for you. I am in Cumbria and use the post office. Better call package than talk-talk and I have had no major issues since I have used them (4yrs?). Easy to deal with too cos of UK call centres.

Zeppelin at Earls Court in 74(?). Saw them at Knebworth in 79 and they were awesome but would love to have seen them in their peak doing the acoustic section as on the DVD.

had my op about 16 years ago. One son only-such an awful baby we couldnt face another (he is fine now by the way!). No probs with the op done on a Friday. Sunday night went for a few beers (Golden Ball in Dalton-in Furness). Woke up in middle of night for a pee-couldnt walk due to pain. Put the light on and my nads were size of grapefruits and bright red. Docs next day to be told I had an infection. 2 weeks off work and obviously no nookie. Just as I was getting back to normal I was play fighting with my son when he kicked me right where I didnt want him to. I nearly shoved him back where he came from!
All fine after that and totally reccommended.
