Done it a completely different way and when I signed upto my solicitor there was a contract arranged that if I didn’t have the keys in my hand within 30 days from start of finish I wouldn’t be paying the full price. From offer accepted to move in date was 20 days.

Just keep on top of them every day only thing you can do.

Having just completed it over 2 days it’s definitely do able and I’m not really bike fit.Seen enough drainage ditches to last me forever right enough.Made it to tyndrum on the first day after an early start first bit conic is pretty easy once you get used to gates.Loch Lomond side I didn’t think was that bad just hesd down and keep walking soon disappears.

As said carry as little as possible think I had under 15kg of kit including sleeping bag and bivi bag.Lots of places to get food and water along the way so no point carrying lots if it.

I’m sure there was something in a bike mag that a company would let you build your own bike in their premises and help you with the design.Means you get the bike you want plus you get to build it.

If your that way inclined that is not for everyone.I have been in talks with Btr about a full sus fat bike frame and they donr some CAD drawings of what I was looking.

Having done this once but getting slightly lost I still have to live with the consequences.

In my defence it was a nice sunny night and I found some new trails on my way across so had to be done.

Or why not a mechanic that owns a van and comes and services your bike while your at work, drinking coffee or whatever. No actual shop so less overheads possibly and fully mobile.

Having done a bit if marshalling at enduros and DH.But also at rallies and race circuit I think it’s a worrying time for any volunteers. But there has been a lack of training on marshalling front for some time in most sports now.Hi viz and flag and off you go really.
