if you have a bit of cash get a HP Microserver, they are about £180 for the latest ones and you may even get a bit of cashback.

you can get some cheap ram from crucial to up it to the max as its usually a single cpu and 2gb ram with a 250gb disk. 3 spare bays in it.

ordered mine earlier this year for delivery in mid feb. email from them on the thursday saying it was delayed by a week. the day after another saying it had been despatched and turned up the next day. great communication from them but possibly a bit of hedging their bets on delivery. spec didnt change and bike is great.

first ride in 3 weeks since pulling the muscles in my back. a quick hours ride on the fat bike, everywhere was frozen solid, biting cold wind but still lovely and sunny. it was ace 🙂

Boblo / Stoner – cheers for the responses.
did seem a bit daft to try and fit it afterwards to a hot pan but if left on it would burn. i think i will stick to the trangia pan and look at getting myself one of their kettles. cheers guys.

this may seem like a daft question but do you cook with the neoprene sleeve attached to the brupot?
I would be using it with a trangia mini. has anyone else used one with a meths burner? does it boil quicker than the supplied pot?

the intense looks better by far, neat lines and it just looks right. the Ellsworth looks like someones either (a) stacked the front in or (b) fitted the rear link and front triangle from two vastly different bikes together.
    its not good

after a bit of help too on this. have removed the qr adapters easily enough but then the piece below this that sits over the bearing proper – how does that come out. its loose enough and should just pull out apparently but mine wont budge. any ideas?

    keefmac

that despite my best efforts i am unable to replace the bearings in my superstar hubs. the phrase “can be removed by hand” is utter balls apparently as although the parts are loose, will they frig as like come out!
or i am doing it wrong, either way….

hi op, ordered my bike in Feb this year, due for delivery in March and i chose to use the bank transfer option. ordered the bike, got sent an invoice/payment request thing and sorted it out at the bank a few weeks before the delivery date. cost me £25 for the bank transfer but it all went fine, got a confirmation of payment a few days later. i think it does explain on their site the differences but if i remember correctly if you pay by visa then the money goes straight away. i could be wrong.

    edit: see above 🙂

you could try isobuster. its not free but i used it to recover stuff from a cdrom that was no longer readable normally. you shouldn’t have overwritten anything providing you haven’t created a new partition in the free space that was created when you deleted the old one

swiss ball / exercise ball and associated exercises should help, thats what i used with a back injury. building the core helps to reduce the work the back muscles are doing which is causing the pain. have a look at core strength exercises linky

i bought my earlier this year, used their sizing tool and this put me at a medium, adding 1cm to my inside leg would have put me at a large.
i’m 6 ft 1 and it does fit me great, i don’t find it cramped or too small for me. you can give the UK guys a ring and discuss if your not sure.

i’ve had an Orange Patriot powdercoated by RnR powdercoating in Ripon, N/Yorks.
had to strip it right down to the front triangle and the swingarm. It came to just under £50, and they stripped it masked it off beforehand.

getting the headset cups reseated did cause the coating at the top of the headtube to chip a little, barely noticeable though. coated quite thickly so should last for ages. colour is ral6013

I love coffee, drink about 2.5 litre’s a day (5 to 6 big mugs). like it white or black but no sugar. same with tea. i also drink a lot of water.

not really fussed on coffee flavoured stuff apart from tiramisu, that is gorgeous.

no shifting issues but its only been up and down the street to see if it was okay.

Most of mine come from still getting used to riding clipped in.

pulled up to the bike rack at work and couldn’t get foot out – fell over still clutching bike.
turning around on a narrow path and couldn’t get foot out – fell over still clutching bike.
going along a track in some vehicle ruts and clipped the sides – over the bars (not clipped in that time 🙂

all low speed so only pride hurt

if you just want the music player side then take a look at Cowon players.
i have just bought an X9 to replace my 1st gen ipod touch. plays better quality music files (flac) as well as video files. also has expandable memory.
got my 32gb X9 from ebay for £105 delivered.

based on what you’ve said I would go for the local 2-man outfit. not the biggest but well established and with local knowledge. second choice would be the big player but they sound like they will try and get it sold off quick, whether its in your best interest or not. i wouldnt even bother with the guy who turned up late.

from your descriptions it sounds like you’ve already made up your mind though. go with you gut.
