saw a cotic solaris at the london bike show earlier this year, they had it fitted with 650b wheels and big tyres. would this tick all the boxes? same frame and just two sets of wheels, 29er for mile munching and 650b for a bit more rowdy stuff?

picked up one of these last week. tough material with a solid base sown in, internal compression strap. not waterproof but will be great with a dry bag inside. the top rolls over and then buckles to compression straps on sides. top section has bungy cords for maps etc.

nice bit of kit but i have yet to use in anger, says its 18L capacity.

thanks for the quick responses guys. only noticed it on the way back home on the road, cornering felt like the rear was slipping sideways a little and the brake rotor sounded like it was rubbing. cant do anything with it til the weekend when it will be a trip to the lbs, dont have the tool to check the bearing. how much would this cost to sort, is it a quick <5 mins job?

yep, not for a few months though. last one was the day before new years eve. got the train to bangor and rode over to anglesey on the fatbike, ended up at porth eilian lighthouse and slept in the rough ground close by. beautiful clear night, very cold but no rain. no whiskey but a great nights sleep and two good days riding.

    what Neilsonwheels said-
put it up on ebay with a low starting price and a reserve if you like. if it fails to go strip it.
stuff will go for higher on ebay than in the classifieds here. see the threads by Renton for more advice. (not taking the p*ss by the way Renton if you’re reading this)

i’ve got the vango one, its just as good as a thermarest. they are to insulate you from the ground to stop losing heat that way, they wont be that comfortable if your after a bed replacement.if thats what you are after then take the air bed thing instead or get a cheap lilo 🙂
