    skate t-shirts

    Where from?

Just my local skate shop usually, but online look at http://www.routeone.co.uk or something similar. Pop into your local skate/bmx/snowboard shop if you have one and try some on. Some brands medium might be too baggy around the body, but overall I like the sizing of certain brands -WESC, Volcom, Nixon all do good mediums for me.

Because most people aren’t freakish gibbon-esque, stretched people

I am one of these – you may also call me lanky. I only ever buy skate t-shirts in medium – tend to be slim(ish) fit and long enough to cover my gibbon-esque belly button. However, if you’re not 27 y/o and don’t wear mostly skateboard attire anyway then you may look like you’re having a mid-life crisis…they are also pricey, but last a lifetime!

Out of interest, if I can’t make this, can someone else use my number?

(limit is 1250, which I think is a little higher than before).

Crikey, I was lucky with number 1187…

If he’s interested in 2nd hand at all my full sus Cube AMS 100 is for sale (2012 model RRP £1500 coming up to a year old excellent condition, £900ono). Cracking XC bike and with the money left over could upgrade whatever on the bike.

If new, then again, I’d highly recommend Cubes! For the price they come with fantastic components and great build quality – might be able to find a 100mm – 130mm full sus for 1200ish.

If they don’t suit you now they never will, just your perception and by the time your old and think ‘nice, why didn’t I where these ages ago and grow a pony tail, heck yes, your’re the bomb bro’ it will be too late.

Funnily enough, the way I see myself when I’m old will be with a head of long, greasy grey hair (provided I still have any) and a massive hobo beard. Surely they’ll suit me then? But is it worth holding on to for another 40 years, just to be a freakin’ cool old man?

Nice, thanks for the information. Wasn’t sure what the bar was there for actually, makes sense! I’m very tempted to keep them really – just in case they suit me some day. The lenses are so clear and crisp…really nice out in the sun.

Think the frame might actually be coated in 10 K gold too…! A fair number of these on Ebay are either 10K or 24K.

Sure, but this model has been around for so long and the selling price varies so much…hard to tell why one is worth so much more than another. If someone knows about Ray Bans they might know what year this is from or if it’s worth more than I think?

Tell me about it. Worn by Johnny Depp in Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas – says it all. Shame I look like an arse in them…

Helly Hansen stuff is fantastic and won’t cost an arm and leg.

The Helly Hansen Kastrup is actually a work wear top – I’ve worn mine through 2 winter season working on ski hills as well as whatever other activity in the cold – mtb’ing, walking, climbing etc. I have stocked about 4 of these in case they stop making them!

Cat looks remarkably like mine! A long haired Tortie. Mine is female 5 y/o.

Recently had a quote from Petplan but it was going to be 200£ a year!

I went for the higher classic option from MoreThan – lifetime cover (£8000 limit on each injury/illness was what I liked, along with all of the other standard covers) came out at £6 a month. Great customer service and will pay the vet directly if they agree.

Summer just gone me and my partner did the Tour Du Mont Blanc – unbelievable trip. Hike around the Mont Blanc massiv walking through France, Italy & Switzerland. Not too tough (but worth being a confident and healthy hiker), amazing views, food & lovely people generally. Will take you 10 – 14 days depending on rest days etc.

We did it solo and not through a tour group, but there are more tour groups doing it than solo groups. Trip of a lifetime!

Best ale pub in Brum is the Wellington, just off the high street and minutes from the station…a must if you like your beer! (and a few extra strong ciders)

I have the ‘pleasure’ of working with the most annoying person I will possibly ever meet…and it sounds like a mixture of what most people find annoying in an office…

    Constant, loud, throat-rattling sneezing
    Chest vibrating coughing with phlegm
Sloppy, mouth-open chewing/pulverising of breakfast which is multiple slices of toast brought in from home! The dryness seems to make it worse.
Slurping of tea followed by an “AAAhhhh” noise after every sip
Insanely loud heckling at emails until someone goes “Oh…what’s so funny?”
Microwave meals that smell like someones scraped year old cheese off a fat sweaty man to make the office smell oh so nice e.g. Tesco cauliflower cheese for 2…

The list may as well go on. Thank god she has meetings most days or I think I would have quit by now…or stabbed her… 🙄

I’m guessing this is open now as I saw comments in Monday Morning Debrief about it?

How ‘new’ is the new Freeminer trail and what has changed? More miles or fresh trail? I’ve only ridden it once…well, actually only 4 miles of it before I jumped on Verderers as I thought it was in a bit of a sorry state? This was on 6th October IIRC.

…I do remember some fun table tops though…

if you go with three then the 4g is just given to you for the same price as a normal 3g contract so its no more expensive, just left apple after 6 years and gone to a nexus 5 on three so so much better phone and coverage than 02 and way cheaper too
there 4g rolls out in december by the way

Agreed – I find Three’s 3G speeds exceptional actually. I tether to my laptop to browse internet and stream videos and never had any issues at all. Unlimited data with 3000 texts & 200 mins for £12.90 a month.

And as Potter mentions, free 4G to their customers (no change in contract) when they roll it out. I have a Samsung S3 LTE (4G compatible) and it’s awesome, highly recommend it.

There was a great article a whole ago (can’t find it sorry) about 4G and how EE have been charging people ridiculous sums of money for measly sums of data – there are always people out there willing to spend their dosh on it though.

I <3 my 2.25 Advantages and think they roll quite nicely. Previously had Rocket Rons and they were v. fast, but pretty weak sidewalls and prone to punctures – they came on the bike and I wore them out completely over summer, but won’t be buying again!

IT System Manager/Developer/DB Admin for the NHS. Take care of a system that delivers electronic pathology messages out to GP surgeries and hospitals.

Being in an office every day is extremely challenging as I’ve always worked outdoors prior to this job (in it 1 year now). I don’t love it, but when you see things progress and projects succeed because of your input, it’s satisfying.

I lived out in NZ for a year – my plan is to head back out there and find some work like this (or general IT), or buy a small business (hostel). If anyone needs an employee out there, HIT ME UP! 😀

Pay is good compared to my previous jobs, but I’ve lived happily on minimal income and think … mo money, mo problems. Also feel guilty when I hear how much nurses and front line hospital staff get paid – they’re in the thick of it, risking their health – they deserve way more.

I ride off-road 3-4 times a week throughout summer and winter – I couldn’t live without my mud guards in winter (crud catcher rear + shock board front), I’d have to wash my bike and bike clothes more than once a week! Not to mention taking a face full of horse/sheep/cow/dog cr*p too! Makes so much sense.

Milton & freezer works a treat for me – I’ve had 12 great years with the same reservoir and tube and never had any issues. I would also recommend paying for the Camelbak cleaning kit as the tube cleaner works so well – I’ve tried messing around with pipe cleaners etc. but their stuff lasts for so long and they are a great company with regards to customer service I’m happy to pay for a posh pipe cleaner!

I love my Mayhem jacket – lots of nice features on it. Like the way the hood is easily removed, big side pit zips to keep the air flow coming in, double zipped back pocket for easy access, nice and warm when all zipped up with a fleecy neck. Top jacket, I wear it wandering into town I love it THAT MUCH – Evans price matched it in-store against online Wiggle price too.

Not sure if it’s called the ‘killer’…but there are a few decent climbs up there. There’s a tonne of different tracks to explore too! Takes in pretty much the whole Malvern ridge.

    I love this for my phone;

    http://www.birzman.com/products.php?src=tech&prod_sn=14&tech_sn=51

I use it for exploring OS maps on my phone when I’m MTBing. My S3 fits in nice and snug as well as space for spare inner tube/multi tool/tube patches etc. The only thing you might find with it is that you have to look down quite a bit to see the screen – it’s not as easy to view the screen as a mount above the handlebars. You can still use the phones touch screen too and I’d say it’s shower proof, but have taken the phone out in torrential rain.

For a bigger phone I’d get the next model up, Navigator III
