Got the price wrong it’s 22k, it’s a LR with the optional sport wheels and grey paint.  Budget will stretch to a 21 car, but with 45k+ miles and I’d rather have the lower mileage as this one is 25k.  Late 22 cars are way out of my budget

Test drove a new Model 3 and was massively impressed.   Man maths sums reckon I’d save near on £150 a month on fuel costs, so off to look at a 2020 Dual Motor with the sport wheels this morning.   Monster depreciation has happened and it’s a lot of car for 24k

A beater.  I quite like it.  Cost the same as 1.5 links for my Air King bracelet…..

I think it’s polarising.  I happen to love the GS logo and it’s instantly recognisable.   I think they make some fantastic watches with amazing dials….

then cheap out on the poorly adjustable bracelets and clasps.  That’s the sole reason why I wouldn’t get one unfortunately

@oceanskipper there’s a nice blue one I’m watching on eBay at the moment on the H-link bracelet for £285.   Don’t be fooled by the pricing on their website as you’ll get hit for 80 odd quid on import tax if you buy new.   Better looking for one that’s already over here

Should add they’re not advertising this.  I went to look at the monochrome Black Bay and it came up in conversation so you need to ask and they will show you a list of the watches they can discount.

Goldsmiths are doing 25% off selected Tudor at the mo.  Mostly steel and gold stuff, but also all the steel chronos and the Ranger on fabric straps.

Was tempted by the Ranger as it’s down to £1980

Never tire of this.  Magnificent hair.  Top of their game.  And that’s how they opened the gig too

forged carbon PRX.  Kinda like that and I’ve never really been fussed by the PRX

I sold my 2541.80 quartz on eBay for £1600 a couple of years ago and it was battered

I wouldn’t be selling the GMT to fund a Tudor Chrono.   Keep the GMT and find another way to get the money!

I’ve sold on eBay.  You send it to the authenticator and they send it on after they’re finished.  Was a painless process

Loved my Lunar Pilot but ultimately I found the proportions a bit challenging and Speedy Pro came my way so it went out the door.  Great watches though, I see they slimmed the size down a bit for the new ones and doubled the price too!

Saw this on PH.   3m 10s in lip read the Williams mechanic watching Sergeant bin it for the umpteenth time

You’ll get the ticket cost back if the service is cancelled but they won’t be paying for onward travel or putting you up in a hotel

    Love Farer.  Good work!

Mrs Kato went from not understanding watches to buying a mother of pearl Carerra for herself.  I was very proud haha

I’m on a list for watches I want basically because I refuse to pay over retail, and don’t want to feed the grey market kettle dealers.

if a Sub is 8k but the grey price is 10k, I’m happy to wait..

I like the Air King. Granted I think the 369 is an odd look.  As for cluttered it’s only got a extra 0 compared to the old one and IMO looks more symmetrical for it

Same here. 40mm Explorer 1 as well as the Sub

@Kryton57 yeah it’s staying for the moment.  At least until I get to the top of the Sub list.  Haha

However I made the massive mistake of trying on a no date Sub.  A watch I’d always considered boring, but in the flesh just works.  Massively taken by it and went straight on the list   I’d sell all my watches for that and maybe my wife too!

Right I’ve had a missed call and now an email this morning from Mappin and Webb offering me an Air King.

I like the watch but if I was to buy it realistically I’d have to move on my Seamaster and Speedmaster to balance the books and there is my reluctance to immediately call them back, as they are watches I love.

so if any of you are interested in an Air King at retail I’ve got 24h to get back to them.

    @Blazin-saddles

sounds like the reverser has stripped teeth.  My Visodate has the same problem but I’ve not sent it off to be repaired yet.  Anything based on a 2824 like the Selilta in the CW will eventually do this if you hand wind them.  It’s a notorious issue with the 2824 design.  Not hand wound my Atoll because of it, I spin it up like it’s an old Seiko haha

Just come back from a cruise to the Fjords.

You will only really feel the ship move if you’re high up and at either end.  And then only whilst in the North Sea.   Ask for a cabin midships and low down and you won’t feel any movement

Toned the Atoll down a bit with the bracelet.  Smaller clasp and single side screws now so loads better than the last CW bracelet I had to size!!

these Seiko GMT divers are nice at £1400.  Although only 200m and 42mm. Can get you 20% off at Goldsmiths if you’re ordering online too.

Or I bought a red Promaster tax free on a cruise about a month ago which realistically I’m never going to wear 😂

this one.  Retail is £350.  I’ve tried it on once and then it’s sat in the box.  I can do it for my STW chums for what I paid plus RMSD so around £170.  It’s unmarked and as new.

    Okay so I have a 7in wrist

    Atoll 40mm

    Seamaster 42mm

The watches I’m used to wearing are a Seamaster and a Speedmaster both 42mm. A Tissot Visodate at 40mm but it’s all dial and a frankly gigantic Garmin Epix which is 47mm

maybe I just need to get used to the smaller case

It’s a 40mm case and short in the lugs so wears noticeably smaller than my Seamaster which is 42mm and 50mm lug to lug

not sure if it’s too small which is why the plastic isn’t off

Had a Lunar Pilot before.  I liked it but it was a really odd shape.  Wore really big whereas the Speedy wears small.  I understand there’s a new one that slightly smaller but also double the price they were asking for the big boy.

They’re nice on leather. To be fair they’re nice on pretty much all straps. Sometimes have my on brown leather although it’s on bracelet at the mo.
