eek ok so i didnt read it right, Ill get my coat.. slinks off to drink more beer to exorcise the embarrasment 🙂
KamikirkFree MemberIf you are night riding you should be ok regardless as it is illegal to shoot deer after dusk unless you have a special licence from DEFRA.
If its between dawn and dusk +/-20 minutes you should stay clear or at the very least not wear a Rudolph costume with Antlers 😛
Hth
KamikirkFree MemberCall hope, i lost mine (dont ask) and they sent me replacements free of charge. Even if they charge you i am sure they will be less than £1.99.
KamikirkFree MemberIs it me or is mimi123 like a dog with a bone, if so does that mean he should stay off the trails himself! 😆
KamikirkFree MemberDo you not have a responsibility to be riding in control when on a public highway?
For sure there was someone done for manslaugter hitting a pedestrian while riding too fast/out of control in the media last year.
Get over yourself and learn from your own mistakes rather than projecting your failings on others even if they are canine. Lucky it was not the dog owner….. if you had hopsitalised someone would you feel so aggrieved?
KamikirkFree MemberEaston Havoc?
[edit] 2010 seems to now be white and 65mm. 😯
2009 cheaper and black, still 65mm Vice is 50mm. 🙁Raceface Respond Am is black/right size but has snot on the side.
Truativ Hussfelt?
I’ll give up now:).KamikirkFree MemberDanW,
You absolutely sure its your feet thats the cause and not knee, hip, sacroilliac joint or lumbar issues or even an anatomocal short leg which is causing the problem?
Problems can come down as well as go up the kniematic chain.
KamikirkFree MemberIt’s on faceBook but here is a possible explaination.. a Group called THE GAME..
There are rules and everything 🙂
THE GAME
Category:

Description:
The Game:
Dropping / Pulling anyone higher in the Food Chain Number makes you stronger and more attractive to burds*. Getting dropped / trying to keep up with anyone lower means your soul hires a kudos remover to lower your self worth. If you scalp someone you have to maintain or extend your lead for such a time as to have the dude you passed admit to themself “I was done”. Nipping by, then running into a side road / hiding in traffic won’t wash, Be honest with yourself. *Not strictly trueRules:
1/ No Dangerous Manoeuvres (Don’t be a danger to any other road users or yourself) Falling off causes pain to you and others around you, don’t do it! (oh and you loose yer points)
2/ Don’t ride like a cock, we’re all just trying to get somewhere!
3/ No passing at Lights/Junction/Crossings, if you do, it doesn’t count
4/ All passing on open road ONLY. Filtering in traffic is null and void (you know whether you’ve dropped someone fairly, and haven’t turned off straight afterwards)
5/ Pavement passes, either you or the target is void
6/ Show no pain, unless, like me your face is just like thatFOOD CHAIN NUMBERS:

KamikirkFree MemberIf the above fails hit them with a heavy hammer.. may not fix it but will make you feel better:)
KamikirkFree MemberIf you do buy a new one get the steel one, its heavier but less fragile.
KamikirkFree Member6-8 weeks in plaster and then the recovery/rehab time. I was told NO offroad MTB for 12 weeks (so 4 after cast was off) but gentle stuff was “ok” if i had to ride.
As always depends on the injury, severity and your personal healing speed.
++1 to follow advice you are given and keep it moving as much as you can.All the best with it
KamikirkFree MemberDid you change cassette as well, if its worn it may not fit a new chain leading to slipping. Just as chains “stretch” casettes wear and the pitch between teeth can be effectively lengthened and or the teeth worn/hooked leading to slipping specially under high load.
KamikirkFree MemberSorry SFB, not sure where you get the idea Cryo is only liquid nitrogen. That is only one form of cryotherapy. Ice packs, cold baths etc are all forms of cryotherapy.
The term "cryotherapy" comes from the Greek cryo (????) meaning cold and the word therapy (????????) meaning cure. It has been around since the 1880-1890s.
Sorry had my pedantic head on.
KamikirkFree Member40% less fat than a sports drink after fasting. So basicaly assuming a normal sports drink comtains carbs (maldexterin etc) then no carbs forces a fasting body to metabolise fats..amazing! Just as if you drank plain water or any non sugary drink. I think its a backwards/hype way of saying its a electrolyte tab with no carbs nothing more. Might be wrong but i read the info in the packaging and that was my understanding.
Still got some free with my order today and mondays got a free bottle so ill find a use for both. Bonus:)
KamikirkFree MemberBlack all the way for me. Blue just looks a not wishy washy to me, and i dont like the way the tree trunks look green. Though agree it's less glare on the blues. Think its subjective and dependant on the users eyes/preferences.
KamikirkFree MemberDartmoor Bivi ride with Slugwash and others organised by Shinythings.. Can't wait!
KamikirkFree Member… you cant stop grinning ear to ear
when your driving home and you try to tailwhip the van over every crest on the A68
That had me laughing, my favourite so far 🙂
KamikirkFree MemberIt's simple for me. I like riding my bike fast, slow, falling off whatever it's all good. I also like relaxing with a beer with my mates so a post ride beer is perfect.
The biochemistry of it or the physiology is irrelevant, combining two fun things is great. Who cares if a bottle of warm milk and a blankie is better for recovery… i'll enjoy my Trail to Ale:)
KamikirkFree MemberI have a tensioner and it was not needed before. With the new chain with the extra link It's needed and the chain is taut not ridiculously tight.
Just faffing with chain line via spacers on the BB. Think it's ok now just need a test ride to make sure its working proper like.
KamikirkFree MemberPretty much what I thought. It's an old chain at .75 stretch so it's due retirement. Will put a new chain on and leave it 1 link longer. Currently it is more like a guitar sting than a chain!
Cheers for the quick feedback.
KamikirkFree Memberare these "cogs" / Sprockets compatable with the DMR conversion kit or do you need gusset spacers for gusset sprockets and so forth.
I am curious as i have Pro II's that i intend to SS and have ordered a DMR kit already but was concerened about the alu freehub so have a gusset sprocket incoming also ….
KamikirkFree MemberIf you live in bath however the cycle along the canal is simple enough though filton is then a fair distance still. Depending on funds redland, Westbury etc are all good and easy to get to Filton or Thornbury and its outlying villages for a nice country feel with a 30ish min drive.
With an hour for commute you have a really massive area to choose from. Personally i'd go for Bristol itself, as i did a while back, as its a really nice city.
KamikirkFree MemberAs Zulu-eleven said most likely a Fallow deer of the menil persuasion.
If your interested BDS site info.
KamikirkFree Memberi had to replace a Truativ triple on a new bike after a month as it was shot, fitted a deore and it lasted years. would not buy any truativ cranks since based on that.
KamikirkFree MemberThink you are the only person in the UK who thinks badgers are rare!
KamikirkFree MemberFor an incredibly stable, light well fitting bag thats also tough as boots i'd suggest a Macpac AMP 25. Waist straps are good for sucha small pack so stays snug to your back and places all the load over your hips so no stress on the spine.
Well worth a look!
KamikirkFree MemberI love mine its my do it all bike. 17.5" frame and im 5'11". Did have air revs but changed to coil pikes this year and would not go back. Climbs well and great fun on downs.. though i am sure i am not using half of its potential.
I am sure you wont regret getting one.
KamikirkFree MemberI always wear contacts when riding and that has never happened to me! I do wonder at the point of wearing contacts if you have to wear glasses anyway to protect them…
Hmm. Prescription glasses cost plenty and even minor scratches to the lens are a major pain if you wear your specs all the time…
Cheap riding glasses or better £3 safety specs plus disposable contacts is no pain and an inexpensive solution. It also means i make some effort to provide protection to my eyes as i can't buy replacements.
KamikirkFree MemberIm quite fond of Mountain Hardwear tents, macpac or for silly stuff Crux.
Rab sleepingbags.
Crux or macpac rucksacks.KamikirkFree MemberI wear a Marmot Ion jacket which is pertex. At 150g or so its weight is not an issue to carry all the time. Cost me £20 a few years back.
KamikirkFree MemberI'm not saying he engineered it, far from it. I'm just saying I don't know and that it's happened in the past. Once bitten etc etc.
I just feel I've ended up with raw deal.
I posted and they arrived,
I agreed a refund for something I knew was working,
I don't have the item back,
I have to give back the money.I have been feeling like i had a raw deal also.
– I get the brakes without bolts and needed spacers and had to chase this up so I can fit them.
– Next they dont work and leak DOT 5.1 from the front brake lever area.
– I post them the next day and follow up RM repeatedly once they seem to fail to arrive and keep you updated.
– I then find they were signed for at your address by Duncan the day after i posted them. Not once do i doubt you nor do i drag it to STW forums as i feel we can deal with it privately.
Finally i still have no paypal notice the refund you agreed tonight when i was out biking.
Oh and the parcel did have Tangfastics in as well as the brakes as i ate the mule bar that was part of the price so thought i should return something in kind, however the Elixirs were definitely in there also in the same packaging you sent them to me in.
I have really tried to be 100% open, transparent and reasonable at every turn but now would really like my money back as soon as possible.
