[That website says you can tow a double axle Bailey Pegasus 624 at 1660kg]

What it actually says is that the van is rather heavy for the car. Both the Caravan Club and the Camping and Caravanning Club recommend the 80% limit. You pays your money and takes your choice but if you get it wrong the debris of your car caravan and family may spread over your local motorway. Sally Traffic warns of delays caused by overturned caravans nearly every day.

Forget manufactures max tow weights for safe towing limits you should be looking at no more than 80% of the tow cars kerb weight have a look here http://www.whattowcar.com/ to see what your car and tow safely gives an idea of the towing performance too

A folding camper is not a trailer tent a trailer tent needs pegging out usually loads of pegging out a folding camper only has pegging points on the awning same as a caravan.

Folding Campers as opposed to trailer tents are great large fixed beds good sitting and cooking areas. We had one for about 10 years before getting a caravan. The only advantage the caravan has is to extend the season as the heating is far better. I would look for a Pennine Pullman or Pathfinder easy to tow and pitch. You don’t need the awning for weekends which is just as well as the awnings are a pain to pitch. You can get top mounted bike racks, for up to 4 bikes.

Murker Vision Feather blades and Michel’s wool fat soap for me all bought as the result of the thread on here although the cost of Fusion blades had me thinking about an alternative before finding the thread.

Getting closer shaves than with the Fusion but takes about twice as long.

If you are only going to use it in a caravan I would forget the sleeping bag and get a mid weight duvet cheaper and far more comfortable

Our is 6 years old now we bought it new having worked our way up from a tent via a folding camper. used it more when we first got it but still had 4 full weeks and about 8 weekends away last year. £220 a year storage £350 a year insurance new for old @ £16,000 £120 a year for servicing. Tow it with a Nissan Terrano the outfit weighs 3.5 tonne does 22mpg towing. Taken it to France 4 times no problems, won’t get as much use this year as we are off to Canada for 3 weeks but still expect to be away for a couple of full weeks and maybe a dozen weekends. won’t be selling any time soon unless I swap it for another new one.

My wife who is 50 this year rides a Specialized Myka FSR which was good value and seems to holding together ok it needed some modifications to stop the Yorkshire mud interfering with the front mech but is otherwise standard. as for this honorary saga member mines a Pace 405 and no we don’t just pootle around the local tow paths

I seem to attract daft dogs while out riding they usually just try to dive under my front wheel, or run along side barking till they get board or I speed up to a point were they can’t keep up. A stafy cross came at me a few days ago I had seen him coming and un-clipped with the intention of pushing him out of the way with my foot as I lifted my foot he jumped up and bit the peddle I had just lifted my foot from he yelped and ran off never saw an owner but when I stopped there was a fair bit of blood on my shoe and up the back of my calf so I guess it lost a few teeth.

Hi I would recommend a Rancilio Silvia and Rocky combination I have been using one for the last 10 years the Silva had a new boiler last year easy cheep diy Job. the grinder is way more important than the coffee machine you need to budget at least as much for the grinder as the machine. I would buy my local pub and ban lager, alcopops and cider such as magners.I would sell real ale rough cider fine wine and decent scotch. The food would be basic and of a reasonable price prepared by a cook not someone who works in a pub and calls themselves a chef.No football shirts would be allowed or chav clothing. It would be a great proper pub!

Don’t need to win the lottery just phone the brewery they are probably desperate for some one to run it may need the lottery win to keep it open though

Try Quinn Direct if you live with your parents or have any older siblings name them as drivers on the proposal insurance company like young people to have a stable home life apparently. If using a comparison site try fully comp with a big excess may be cheaper than third party. If you have had insurance on your Moped and not claimed you should be able to no claims discount.

Hope the above helps just spent a week on the phone trying to get insurance for my 17 year old so its based on what I found.
