Try Buffalo. I swear by mine. Not waterproof but very effective

Buffalo for me. I’ve an endura soft shell I’m going to sell with pit zips for added temperature control. Small/medium size (I’d have to check)

I’ve had one for a couple of weeks. Not sure about it at the moment. Not sure why. Got the frame on the bike to work scheme and transferred parts from my Croix de Fer that was trashed. Prefer the ride on the Croix de Fer

I started talking to my GP. Tried Counselling a couple of times with some success but not necessarily the solution. What has, and is, working for me is Buddhist teachings and meditation. I’m not religious and like many others don’t consider Buddhism to be a religion. It’s all about training the mind, non attachment to things, etc. Try reading Thich Nhat Han or if you’re not a reader check out a film called Walk with me

Numbness is caused by irritation or trapped nerve rather than circulation. I’m trying yoga to relieve my symptoms. Numb down the leg and sole of the foot. Was due an injection of the nerve at the spine before Covid

I’ve used sufferfest for a couple of winters now and enjoyed it as a training tool. Never really got on with Zwift. Going to give it another go as my club is active on there and organise virtual club runs. Been using RGT for the last two months as their premium version is currently free. I’ve enjoyed that. I’m quite a lazy cyclist so tend to sign up for training plans online as motivation which they all do

They key is to demonstrate the need and benefits to your local authority if the route is not currently used. If you can do that then it’s a matter of persuading them to use the powers they have and find funding.

It’s either a highway maintained at public expense or not. If it is then the local authority has a duty to maintain. If you consider the Highway is not in a condition suitable for “normal” traffic and the authority does not repair you can serve notice on the authority to make necessary repairs. If it is not maintained at public expense but still a public highway then the authority still has a duty to ensure that it is in a condition suitable for normal traffic by looking to the street managers/landowners to maintain

Certainly not naive. Just want to ride without conflict and wondering how often it occurs. You’d be surprised how infrequent issues between mountain bikers and walkers get reported to local authorities

I found a buddhist meditation class locally really helpful

If you don’t want to object I would definitely inform planning that the proposed solution utilises land that the applicant has no control over. As such it does not satisfy highways concerns. This may not be reason to refuse permission, and if not then it will become a private matter between you and the developer

My experience of sertraline was that it didn’t improve my mood, it kind of dulled the depression. I took the decision to come off them as they weren’t the solution. Worryingly when I told my wife after 4 months that I’d stopped taking them she told me she suspected so as I wasn’t being angry and aggressive. I wasn’t aware of this behaviour and apparently it is a side effect. Don’t know if this helps

Try Sufferfest. All you need is your trainer and use the perceived effort guidance.

So the contactless payment works Bigrich? The reviews I’ve read said it’s not available in the UK, they may be out of date

Have you looked at the Holmfirth area Enclosure Awards at the West Yorkshire Archives. Loads of information in there, and pretty conclusive

I broke my kneecap 25 years ago and it has been a constant problem. I’ve recently started running again after reading a book called Born to Run. Barefoot running, vibram fivefingers and the like are good and my knee is better than its ever been. There’s an interesting critique of the running shoe industry in the book. Essentially the theory is that the human foot has evolved over millennia to be perfect for running. Commercial running shoes stop it working properly

The Grey Gull in Ardrishaig is great for accommodation and food. From there head up on the Oban Road and ride through Kilmichael glen to Ford

I have challenged many a driver using their phone. The majority have put them down (although I’m sure will continue later). Even stopped traffic until one guy finished his call – he declined my initial request after swerving towards me whilst I was riding. Never have I been threatened; only had the odd boy racer screech away

Started skating last year at 49. Never done it before, slow progress. Keep getting told I’m a cool dad so can’t stop
