From what I remember the Classifieds were set up so that your no longer needed bike stuff could be moved on to someone else. It isn't meant to be used as a means to shift on vast quanities of stuff to make money. I have used it a few times and have picked up some good stuff to complete builds.
I would have no problem though of there being a 5% buyers/sellers payment into Singletrack.
It does though seem to be getting abused by some, but you don't have to buy anything!!

I take a size 9 glove and found that the Medium SealSkinz are a perfect fit. Hope that helps

2.25 might be close running in the rear, but run 2.25 up front for a smoother ride, although with current weather conditions you might want a grippier front tyre.

+1 for SealSkinz. If you are small or medium get these Gloves
The only problem with them is getting wet hands back in them, apart from that they are very warm and totally waterproof. I wash the outsides of them whilst wearing them and my hands have never got wet!!

Standard Speedkings sealed without any sealant and stayed up for about 30 mins. Once sealant was added I had no problems until the tread wore out!!

Supersonic versions do have porous sidewalls but with lots of side to side waggling do seal and are really light. Loads more grip from the black chilli compound plus less weight. Again rode until the tread ran out.

Mine took ages to heal. Everytime 4 weeks I saw the consultant and he said leave it 4 more weeks. After 4 months it got operated on. But I am apparently in the minority and most heal fully within 12 weeks.

As far as a turbo goes, a friend of mine who races hates the thing but if he can't get out and ride he uses the turbo flat out for 1 hour as this is as long as he can do before the boredom sets in. Interval training works well on a turbo. Shorter invervals at high intensity then ease off for twice as long, repeat, repeat, repeat, sit on sofa!!

I agree with above. Great cover for first owner of frame. I had my sugar4 rear triangle replaced with the lastest stronger version, no questions asked.

Some sus bushes wear very quickly. Depends on the design

It looks fast. How do you get a seatpost that long?

Time to find a shim then. CRC seem to do some cheap ones.
Thanks all for the help as I was a bit concerned about ruining a great frame but was hoping to be tight and not splash out on a new seatpost.

I would agree with forge. I run XT now as the difference to XTR is minimal in performance but the difference in cost is huge. But I would have XTR if I could afford it.

Carlosg, I have thought about that and may give it a try but don't want a metal can shim dropping into the frame and not coming out.

ton, please expand on you comment 27.2 in a 30mm frame

Theres nothing wrong with cheese and ham. Just change the varieties of ham and cheese. It would take years of riding to get through them all!!

A couple of lads I ride with have them and it is like having the sun come up behind you. They are really bright IMO.
Don't know about run times though.

Any prodigy or Fat Boy Slim.
The only problem being that I get knackered after half an hour blasting to these tunes and have to slow down

    JustRide

I have the same bike and the same problem!!
I have carried out a full strip down and rebuild of everything and still it creaks when putting power through the pedals seated or standing.
    I have changed:
wheels, seat and post and clamp, bars and stam, brakes, pedals, BB and crankset.

Still no joy. I have checked all round the frame and nothing seems to be cracked, so I now I just ride the thing

We only saw two riders on the first day once we got away from the reservoirs and no more than 10 on the second day. A few walkers were kicking about and we went past some 4×4 drivers on the pennine bridleway.

What a great place to ride though and the bit of rain at the finish made the drop from Hollins cross more entertaining.

I had exactly the same problem as you Juiced. Basically I was trying to go out and run for about 30mins on a lunch time about 3 times a week and my knees started to give me problems.
Then I found out some good training advice for cyclists who might run for training.
Don't do more than 20mins walk/run, no more than 3 times a week to start with for the first couple of weeks and then increase running time by no more than 10% a week.
So it will take time before you can run for 45mins but the progressive build up gives your body time to adjust to your new exercise regime.

Just found some used Rock Shox Sids for sale for more than new ones at CRC. I know that some may want top doller for their no longer wanted kit, but trying to sell used stuff for more that new is taking the p£ss.

Ah ha!! I am after a pair of these myself and have noticed that at times either the 80mm or 100mm can be significantly cheaper to buy from some shops so I presumed that they would be different.
Had a blokes Reba SL in a mates shop to be changed from 80 up to 100mm by adding a spacer so it might be the same idea.
His Reba SL came as 80mm standard with some plastic spacers in the box.

No. You buy either the 80mm or 100mm version and stick with it as far as I can work out.

Thay are a small fit and after they have been washed a few times they don't offer much padding at all. But they are more effective than just lycra shorts.

No worries. I think that I will have to sell them cheap if that is what can happen to them. I thought that they would be good tyres coming from Intense. I don't use tham as they aren't recommended for tubeless use.
I now have Panaracer Razer XC. These are fast rolling tyres that would probably fit your requirements. Picked up a pair cheap of Merlin when they had a good deal on.

I don't suppose you want a hardly used pair that are hung up in my garage? Yours for £30 posted

Broke mine just before Christmas and am getting pins and plates put in next week.
Over the first few months the consultant seemed to think that it would heal naturally, but it hasn’t and then I was put on the waiting list for an operation.
3 more months of recovery minimum after the Op before I can ride full tilt again.
So I would go along with what geetee said and if the bones have overlapped a bit get it pinned.
But over time it will be as stong as ever and will require another resounding thud to the ground to break it again.

The pics are from Richmond cricket club, North Yorkshire. They have had races around the cricket pitch for ages. Its kind of track racing meets the outdoors sort of thing. Only done in the summer when the ground is hard, but is really funny when it rains!!

Just taken V’s off my Gary Fisher. No problems using them during a rubbish winter but I used pads at an alarming rate and rims weren’t lasting a year. Also putting wheels on/off all the time I was forever having to adjust the screws to center the brakes.

rob2, i agree, every fork mentioned has been in a positive light and I like your idea of the race instead of team although davefarmer does think the team is worth the extra dosh. Oh the dilemma..

Buy speaker2animals Intense Spider. I don’t know the bloke but I have raced one for a while now, built to 24lbs with tough wheels and fork combo (so could be lower weight). It is so fast uphill and very stable on the downs. Simple DIY pivot maintenance aaswell.

This is great that everyone thinks that their fork is really good. So I doubt that I could buy a bad one. I am going to have to research a bit for the best price to help decide.

rob2, why the race over the team?
I need it to go on a 4″ full sus aswell

Cheers happysnaps. I had forgot about the previos DT swiss models as the last one I saw was the new carbon one that cost the same as a trip to the moon and back. XMC100 might fit the bill.

They are great during the winter (not in summer. sunny weather + crab sticks = no one rides with you) Don’t do a big climb after eating them though. You can guess the rest

trailmonkey do they have seafood in them? I thought they were just fish smelling gunge squashed together, but taste soo nice.
Don’t leave them in your camelbak though!

Thanks IA, I was leaning towards the Manitous due to their stupidly light weight, but I haven’t heard any user reports on any of the forks just the usual marketing stuff. I will look into the F100’s.
