Once the seed has been planted, it germinates then propogates. I’ve got a Yeti ASR seed germinating as we speak. I’m determined to fight it.

Overpriced single pivot (with rocker) likely to snap its rear triangle and not be as well made as your canyon. Otherwise what is stopping you …..go for it!

wouldn’t bother if I was you.

It won’t make you any better, you’ll try and convince yourself it does… but it won’t. You’ll try and convince yourself it makes you a happier rider… but it doesn’t. Infact the slow realisation that you’ve wasted your money will make you more depressed. You’ll lust after another bike, caught in a consumerist void, until you give it all up and start lusting after full carbon road bikes that cost more than cars.

    Happy Christmas.

    This is more like it.

How would we go about indicating the presence of dangerous stored nuclear waste to our descendants, in the event of some cataclysmic event, assuming language may have changed beyond recognition?

I believe some bike shops do attract a kind of “hanger on” brigade, (as you are in marketing you will have some b*ll*cks phrase for this like “loyal following” or “frequent visitor”).

I was there on Saturday and think the new stuff is a great improvement, maybe I’m easily pleased. The week before I fell off descending Cavedale a little too enthusiastically so think I appreciated the reasurance of Llandegla’s more curated contours!

For all the people who say it’s rubbish, take a look at this clip[/url] of Neil Donoghue riding the B-Line.

I bought the Nerve XC 8 six months ago. It’s early days yet but I’m pleased with it so far. I mainly ride in the Peaks and trail centres and I’ve yet to feel under biked. The spec for the money is hard to ignore and the frame appears to be well constructed and thought out, rather than just a lot of bling plonked on a rubbish frame. Only time will tell if the bearings last the course.

My only gripes so far are some of the anodising has rubbed off just above the fork crown. Most areas vulnerable to cable rub have been heli-taped but this area hasn’t. The grips weren’t great so i swapped them for lock-on ones. I’ve had a couple of crashes which have been withstood but Canyon have a crash replacement scheme, which provides piece of mind. Here’s mine:

An omniscient omnipotent patriarchal entity that created the Universe and all of the variety of life contained within. What is the purpose? A test? To be worshiped? The whole concept sounds suspiciously human to me and with not a shred of evidence I’m not buying it.

Not angry though. I still marvel at the sheer improbibility of our exisitence, the real story – the one backed by evidence – of our origin is just so much more miraculous.

I recently bought a Canyon Nerve but if I ‘d know CRC were going to be offering Turner FiveSpot frames at silly money I would’ve gone the self build route.

I’ve already got a big dog, that’s what made the cat jump!

I’ve measured the bearings and I make them 2mm diameter. Does anyone know the actual size?

    I’ve found these

Buying things is nice, but I’d cry if I destroyed it on a rock. I think I’ll try tightening the chain first.

It’s not dropping when changing gear. It drops off when descending on rough ground. The gears are shifting perfectly.

What specifically did you not like about the Hope? I’ve found mine to be very robust and they generally receive favourable reports. If it was faulty in some way, it may be worth contacting Hope.

I’ve not used CK, although they are supposed to be excellent.

I’m interested in getting a pair of Hope Pro II on Crests. Do you have red hubs with black rims?

Cheers for the info. He’s got the bad boy disc, so looks like a lefty is out of the question. Is there anything to prevent him putting on some 100mm 1 1/8″ forks?

I’m the opposite. I’ve got a carbon road bike that hasn’t been used in months, as I’m loving the MTBing too much. A big factor is who I’m riding with – I enjoy the company of my MTB mates more than my road riding buddy.

MTBing for me is about the lovely places, views and fun, whereas I associate road biking with fitness.

I do love the precision and speed of a road bike and I really enjoy riding in a pack. I might join a club as one last attempt at re-igniting my enthusiasm for it. If that doesn’t work I think I’ll sell.

I think I’m going to go for the standard service and put the money I would have spent on the Kashima upgrade, towards some new wheels :D

Will get some of that Fork Juice though.

Evans let me take a Fuel for a 30 minute spin round Manchester City Centre. I was testing down stairs, drops and everything. Still didn’t buy it though :D
