I cycle up/down Deansgate as part of my commute, but haven’t spotted a new bike shop. Is it near Barton Arcade end or more towards Great Northern/Deansgate station?

EDIT: just looked on their website, it’s near The Great Northern. I think I’m too poor for that place anyway.

Only got a week holiday left until April, so will be just the one trip for me. If late season conditions are as good as last season I might go early April as well.

I was considering going in my motorhome this year, anyone done this? Worried it’ll be too cold!

Canyon Nerve? There’s a new carbon framed version that looks very nice, good price too.

EDIT: Under £2400 for a full carbon frame, full XT and a Reverb with hidden hose

As others have already mentioned football’s accessibility is a huge factor in its popularity. It is an extremely democratic sport in that you don’t necessarily need to be a 6,4″ muscular person to play it well (Messi for example). It is easy to enjoy at novice level, can be played alone or with two, 10, 22 people etc, it can be played with minimal equipment and on a variety of surfaces.

Football is a very expressive sport, different players and teams can all have their own interpretations. There is a huge variety of goals, passes, moves and just when you think you’ve seen it all a player will come up with something new. It is also very spontaneous and free flowing in comparison with other sports.

Sykeside next to Brotherswater, near Patterdale, it’s a nice site and you’ve got Helvellyn and High St nearby, Whinlatter and Skiddaw are a short drive away.

I never ever click through to a linked ad.

Its lazy which make me think if the seller is to lazy to repost an ad how quick will they post an item out and by what method.

I always post next day if possible 1st class (recorded) and email the buyer when its posted. Will also email if I cant post next day if I’m at work or busy, its slightly irritating that I have to chase some sellers to ask if they have posted it 4-5 days later.

Or it’s the most efficient way to repost an ad and they’ll be just as efficient in dispatching the item.

No idea why it works, but with mine, I strapped the lever back to the bar tight, and left it for a while. And it was fine after that.

+1 worked for me too. You don’t store your bike standing up by any chance do you? Give the breaks a pump and then leave them stapped back overnight and try them in the morning.

I’ve had mine for a couple of years and they still hold a bottle nice and snug. I’m pretty certain you could buy any bottle cage and it will do the job.

Elite Custom Race. If they’re good enough for 1/2 the pro peleton they’ll do for me.

Too personal a choice to recommend really. It’s like asking what size underpants.

yes – and interestingly its cost effective in that if someone has something that cannot be cured or even diagnosed by conventional medicine – giving them homeopathy saves more in doctors time and prescriptions of medicine etc than the the homeopathy costs

Power of the mind eh! I’m sure that good bedside manner contributes too.

A song requesting a supernatural deity I don’t believe in, to save a person in a position I don’t agree with…no thanks. For the record I’m proud to be British and love my country.

Loads of stuff in Gwydyr Forest. Festiniog downhill has just opened, which isn’t too far.

You should get a full biometric assessment and gait analysis. Wicking clothing, cushioned stability control trainers and heat moulded insoles. DO NOT run without these things.

My last road bike was a carbon Cannondale Six and I’ve now got a alu Cannondale CAAD10. The Six was marginally smoother on rougher road surfaces, barely detectable though…but then I would say that 😉

Treen Farm is on my list but they don’t let you book, they said if we get there early enough we should be okay.

Cheers nicolaisam, I’ll PM you if I’m going to be nearby.

Not expensive but I really like the frame geometry and tube profiles on a CAAD10. I’m biased because I’ve got one (but not this one unfortunately).

Continuing with the affordable theme I do like the Giant TCR in white. This one would look better with a black stem though.

It does look nice, although they’ve made the head angle steeper, albeit only by 0.5 degrees. I thought it needed to go the other way if anything but hey ho wtf do I know!

It’s related to harmonic motion iirc. Gripping top tube with knees/hand helps, braking can actually make it worse. It can be quite scary, first time it happened to me I thought the wheels were about to fall off.

Isn’t licking neotenous behaviour? I read somewhere that dogs retain puppy characteristics of which begging for food by licking (especially around the face) is included.

    Unzip and enjoy.
