The wheels have always done me find although yes I weigh about 2 stone more now ! I used to ride the El Ciclon quite aggressively and the wheels always coped ! I think you are right about the shock…

The tricross is in good condition with just cosmetics – it was top of the range so I think the shifters were ultegra I think – carbon pave seat post – is around £200 about right ?

I am not against spending money on expensive things – its what i go to work for.

Personally, I like to buy the best thing i can afford – but I really don't mind if other people prefer so buy cheaper stuff – different strokes and all that…

I take quite good photos – friends thing I have 'an eye' for it and I'd like to push myself a bit further without going down the line of an SLR (not SLF – sorry Punk days coming thru there!)

Ha – no polishing just a bit of copter tape – I did say the paint was good

yes just the one – i've never had any issues though.

no idea if Sherwood changed that on the updated version – he added a bit of gusseting around the head tube cos people were running 160mm forks on them – i don't think it caused a problem but thats what he's like.

Ventana don't really do advertising and marketing blurb – which is nice. I hear he is also pretty handy on two wheels !

hi chucky – specialized purgatory 2.3 on the front and a spesh the captain 2.0 on the rear

did have a captian on the front and it was good but i think you need a bigger front tyre on Ventana's

Also using an oversized DT thru axle on the front now instead of a standard QR..

oh Andy – the Ventana forum on MTBR is very good for build ideas etc.
