Why not just use a normal disc hub? Bolt on cog on the disc mount and spacers and cog on the other side.http://www.velosolo.co.uk/shopdisc.html

I don't think that headsets have settled at all. If you include road bikes it seems there are standard threadless, low profile (zero stack), IS, Microtech, Columbus type, Hiddenset, Taper and 1.5. There may be more, but for mountainbikes (and road bikes) if it settled on a taper system that would be great. http://www.standard44.com/44/

    Boring.

PreesFit 30 is a bit like BB30 just a bit simpler to manufacture (I think), and the whole headset thing needs to be sorted out, internal, external, 1 1/8, 1.5, taper steerers.http://www.standard44.com/44/

Not after a 4x bike, but a 4x influenced xc bike, so O-O summer season in aluminium, old Mountain Cycle Rumble or old Kona Cowan/Stuff (which were classed as jump/4x bikes but were a bit xc/tough/all rounder).

The Summer Season is nearly there, just wish it was lighter, and in aluminium (going against the UK steel trend)

Canfield, not so keen on (bound to be expensive),I do like direct mount front mechs though, why doesn't everyone do them?

Looking at the geo of all three it looks like the small Chumba would be the best fit, but not so keen on the ebb.I like the look of the Banshee, the medium should fit but what are Freeborn like to deal with? Sinister in medium looks good, but a bit long and I don't know what the s/t length is; it is a FTW build so must be good?

Used to be good, hasn't been good for some time now. The new issue looks promising but will probably be crap. DIRT is a much better magazine, it may be all about big bikes, but it inspires. If you were to show a copy of Singletrack and Dirt to someone who was new to biking the copy of Singletrack would bore the t*ts off them. Singletrack has boring photos and boring writing, it was much better when it came out 4 time a year. It is there job and good luck to them, I suppose it pays for their beard trimmers and guitars.

There are lots of awful places in England and Wales but really nothing compares to many towns in Scotland, especially the Glasgow/Clyde areas.

The WTB Bon Tempe may not have ridden well but to me it looks fab. I didn't know that the Haro Mary was in some way based on a WTB Phoenix, I wonder if it had influence on the Haro Beasley?

Slingshot would be nice, and how could I forget, Bridgestone XO and a top of the range Moulton.

I like the Kona Five-0 and the Genesis Alpitude. The Kona looks so much better with decent kit on it.

No, no, no, no, no. Kylie is old Singletrack, pre-Event. This is the post-Event Singletrack, we need a new Friday person. Suggestions anyone? How about either Uma Thurman, Winona Ryder or Penelope Cruz. Please no pictures of that biffa Charlize Theron, or old Kawasakis.

Posts like this reinforce my opinion that there a lot of people in the UK who are selfish arrogant sh*ts. We should have a big Singletrack gathering, not to ride bikes or have a nice time, but just for a big argument and a fight.

Thats right, have a rant on Singletrack forum, that will change the way they work. Maybe they just thought you were weak with a rubbish business plan, who would take out his impotent rage on an unrelated web forum.

The same old tired lines come out every time the subject of postmen and the Royal Mail come up. Postmen are seen by the British public in the same light as bin men, street cleaners, traffic wardens, i.e. invisible, treated with contempt until they want to complain about it. Yes the Mangers aren't very good, yes the union is stuck in the 1970's, and yes not every postie is as diligent as he/she should be. It is however a fantastic service compared to many around the world, you actually get your mail delivered to your door, and if you have issues about the way your mail is being delivered, contact Royal Mail, don't bitch about it on a bicycling website. Most postmen just want to do there job, and your mail gets delivered despite the obstacles put in the way by the company and the postal regulator. It is a business that relies on humans, with that comes human error; are you or your business infallible?

Age 14, from then on it has been one **** up after another. I would change everything, the awful thing is that I would probably end up in the same situation. Life, it's just treading water until you die.

So we all agree, 650b is the future wheel size of choice for some people.
