Thanks for the good news everyone, I’ll happily fill my side of the bed with Schwalbes.

The keep inflated in the loft for a year business is fascinating. Is it a difference an MTB rider would notice ? Did your friend give an explanation as to why ?

Yes it is. 2 people is best though.

I got a bleed block and covered it with metal tape so I could push the pistons all the way back and wedge it in there really tight to keep them there.

Another thing I found that helps. Open the bleed nipple a lot when you push the lever. Don’t just crack it a little.

There’s a set of small jump lines hidden not too far from centre parks. You can session them nicely for an hour.

I’ve ordered one. If it’s any good, the One Up dropper becomes very affordable.

Just put a Rock Razor on the back of my nukeproof, it rolls very fast.

I’ve done extensive blind testing with bi-wire and bi amping.

It’s only worth doing if you go for an active crossover and have separate amps for each speaker.

Otherwise, it’s a complete waste of time and money.

I push a break block in sideways so it only blocks 2 pistons and grease them 2 at a time.

These brakes have been a massive pain in arse for me. It took me ages to get them right, but it was worth the effort.

When I was messing about with crossovers and re-voicing my speakers, these were my test tracks.

Amy Winehouse : Lioness Hidden Treasures
There’s a slower version of Wake Up Alone.

    Nirvana: MTV Unplugged

Whole album sounds lovely, great soundstage and imaging.

    Katie Melua : Pictures

I love the stuff. I applied it to a brand new chain and have done a good 300 miles since.

Muc Off stuff was useless, noisy chain after 2 rides.

Got a couple of Rock Razors in Snakeskin, Pacestar compound. Put one on the back and left my Nobby Nic on the front. Went for a quick spin and instantly felt the difference through the pedals. Can hold a wheelie for ages now 😀

Thank you everyone for your help, very pleased with the outcome. Might buy a couple more for spares since they don’t make these in 26 anymore :/

Just need to get this plaster cast off so I can go for a proper run and see how it corners.

Could you clamp a nice long bar / screwdriver in where the seat goes and twist it ?

Can’t mess about if the front is already orange, these things should match.

I run 29mm internal width with 2.35 tyre and love it. Spreads the tyre out nicely.

Stans Flow is 29mm and their minimum is 2.35. I don’t see the extra 1mm on your wheel making much difference.

Reviews should be taken with a pinch of salt. I think the differences are often exaggerated. A lot of them can only be really appreciated by super experienced riders or pro’s on the clock.

Sound quality will be the same for both, they’re just sending bits to your receiver for it to decode.

I’d be surprised if there was a noticeable difference in picture quality to the naked eye.

I’ve had a quick look at Highwaymen, this looks like my kind of movie ! I’ll check it out properly when I’m off work.

This movie isn’t shown in 4K on Netflix, though it does appear to have good HDR support. Outdoor stuff looks great.

You might want to check out this site before you buy some movies

A fresh MOT will sell easier than one with a month or two left. Especially on vehicle over 10 years old.

Have you watched any 4K BluRays ? I have a Panasonic player and their top end TV but I’ve found 4K Discs to be an enormous disappointment. Most of them have been edited in 2K and then blown back up to 4K, completely defeating the purpose :/

Might snap up a few a keep them for spares if I like them.

It appears Rock Razor is no longer made in 26inch. There are a few older Pacestar ones available but nothing in the new Addix compounds.

    That’s annoying.

Thanks for the info everyone, very helpful.

My rims are Mavic 729 and aren’t tubeless compatible :/ I plan to change to Stans Flow sooner or later and save another 200+ on rim weight.

I currently ride Thetford forest, the trails are dry and water drains easily. I want to move onto bigger things like Chicksands and Phoenix, but breaking my arm 3 weeks ago has pushed that back a little.

I’m going to try the Ralph and the Rock Razor. I’m keen to learn the real world differences between tyres.

Sold my bird’s Fiesta on Facebook recently. It’s alright if you can put up with people who ask “what’s your best price” before even saying hello.

Another vote for Shimano M6000. My girlfriend’s bike uses this in 1×10 config and it’s been great so far.

The problems I find with the “just go out and practice” attitude is it usually comes from people that MTB tricks come naturally to.

Often just going out to practice can reinforce bad habits and make things worse. My natural response to bunny hops and jumping in general was the dead sailor bar tweak and it’s taken a lot of work to try and try and correct that.

Now I have a nice plaster cast to show for it and can’t ride for 6 weeks. No more jumps until I’ve had some coaching :/

    Search for HG 500 cassette.

32 tooth will be fine, the newer 1×11 Bizango uses a 32 tooth front and 42 rear. I’ve ridden one of those a few times and the gearing is fine.

Actually, since the Bizango has 29 inch wheels, 32 tooth front chainring might be a better bet.

My girlfriends’s Voodoo Maji came with 11-42 on the back and 34 tooth on the front with 27.5 wheels.

That might be a good starting point

Deore M6000 cassette will do the job. 11-42. 35 quid.

The reality is you are just someone in the way. I don’t see attitudes changing in the UK no matter what name you give to the person getting in the way.
