Thanks for opinion Rocketdog, seem to be doing more XC races for fun and don't really want to add another bike especially, but wanted to make the PA a bit more rapid. By better with 120/130 i'm guessing you mean more fun?
+2 Sorted me out with a bunch of new spokes and a retrued rear wheel on John O Groats to Lands End last summer at the drop of a hat. Hardly had time for a cuppa and cake.
JUST GOT RIM TO SEAT AND INFLATED!! All with track pump. Maxxis advantage 2.25 and crossrides.
Mudt admit it was looking grim for a bit. CO2 didn't work then ran out…..
SO poured some neat washing up liquid in area around valves and bead, turned wheel so valve lowest. Attach track pump and WENT ABSOLUTELY BALLISTIC! Lots of short quick pumps rather than long ones.

I to love my trangia. But if you have budget and space, buy the gas attachment to make it really fly!…kinda makes it not so compact at all anymore, but you get all the windproof advantages of a trangia but with extremly quick boiling from the gas… I have also used the greenheat tins and prefer them to meths.
Only made it to Gawton once so far since getting my membership. HSD is great fun on a HT, but there is no way you'd get me down Suer Tavy or Egypt on a HT!
I'm happy with my Luu's. Been riding with a mate who has Hope Vision 4's and compared to the Luu light I have, ok there is a slight beam width issue, but the light outputs appear pretty much the same. Maybe a slightly different colour of light to the Hopes [?]. But the burn time is great, i'm not the one having to constantly switch between power settings to get me home on a 2-3 hour ride….
I have a LUU light [with medium spread lense fitted] and when comparing it to my friends Hope Vision 4 on a recent ride from Princetown last week it seemed to equal that for spread and throw. Better battery life to , the LED technology used is a little lost on me, but £100 cheaper than the Hope i'm not complaining.
Trailmonkey, could do with being shown around a bit by you guys! Have ridden a fair bit on the moor, but need some new routes. Live in Plymouth but moving to Buckfastleigh soon, where are you guys based?
