It needs a guard rail? Is it for spectators to lean on?

If you wish…. Entrance fee negotiable.

I definitely need that room with that hot tub next to that fire. No question. How soon can this be arranged?

You are correct that I hadn’t realised that I needed it though.

There are some socialist idiots spouting the politics of envy on this thread.

No. But if it’s anything like as good as the rest of the Pure range it’ll be very good.

Blacks were selling a Mammut jacket for £95 reduced from £135 last time I looked (couple of months ago).

    Love mine.

The outlying villages around Wisbech seem to have some quite OTT Christmas lights.

Flower roads in Southampton ditto. Ashamed to say that we have one or two OTT displays in our village.

The pic in the op takes some beating though!

I have never seen one being driven, ahem, enthusiastically either.

Pop over to Germany. They get driven enthusiastically there. An A6 came past me at 145 or so…

Nice video, cheers! Awesome bit of kit, too.

For those of us in the south there’s Kempton Steam Museum. Anyone been there? Also has Britain’s newest narrow gauge railway, I think.

Crofton’s lovely, too – smaller and older and a great place

if a light is green expect it to go red

So are all the amber bulbs gone? 😉

If you went through a red 1.1 seconds after it had come on you need to rethink your driving style. I’m glad I hadn’t just pulled away from my green light…

I tend to expect light-jumpers these days, especially after a large lorry came through a red the other month! Doesn’t excuse them, before you say ‘Well you’ll be ok then’!.

That’s not bad at all, bb!

Rather envious – I get about 28 overall. Can be low 20s going into town and back, have seen 37 on a very slow day on the dual carriageway in the way home from work.

Took it over to The Harz Mountains in September – what a blast that was! Very easy to get used to cruising at 120.mph.. 145mph was the most we saw, but not for long – bottled out after a minute or so! Fun though!! No idea how many mpg that was(nt). 🙁

No kids here either – space is useful though. Can get quite a lot of beer and wine into it on a weekend trip to France…

What sort of mpg do you get, bb, if you don’t mind me asking?

Quite some company you’re keeping there, eep!

Sounds as though you’ve had a good time with the TT then bikebouy. Good to hear and I might be tempted in future then – since all TTs are quicker than mine. Do like having four seats though… Mines had a couple of coil packs and an injector go. Thankfully, injectors are available singly!

    Mmmmm. Lovely!
    Too clean to be yours!

That’s what happens when you give staff time off. Mine looked like that for a while in the summer.

If you think the Audi’s dirty you should see the Skoda!

I like it too, bikebouy, but I heard too many stories about unreliability in the sort of age TT that I could afford.

Says the man in Portillo-esque green trousers. (I saw you, don’t try and deny it!)

I shouldn’t dream of denying it. Portillo-esque is a compliment in my book. I need to find a vendor of lime green jackets (not to be worn with the green trousers, though.)

Like the second concept more than the first, sorry Captain. The third is awesome! The ur-Quattro is legendary – I’d love to have driven one.

Love the R8 – a thing of beauty.

Have to keep reminding myself that 20mpg is not practical on a daily basis when I think about the S4 Cabrio, affordable though they otherwise are!

I’ll stick with mine for now!

(I say this as someone who might be able to buy an Audi keyring at most)

Would that be the R8 keyring at £82 sir?

You don’t need to be confused about the UK.

Let me explain. It’s really, really shit.

If you don’t agree, please don’t leave as those if us who know that it is will be disappointed to find you wherever we end up.

Quod non erat demonstrandum is useful. Once used it very successfully to a boss who was a complete idiot – just before I walked out of the job never to return.

Malacca doesn’t go down well with the Greeks. Even though the restaurateur was indeed being rather difficult. He said he was going to call the police – I said ‘Please go ahead, I’d like a word with them about you too’, or words to that effect (and I class myself as an Hellenophile – just not in this particular instance!)

Loud bangs? Well it is around firework night…!

On a more serious note I think there are some things that can’t be explained away and therefore the answer is yes.

There are more things in Heaven and Earth, Horatio and all that.

Wasn’t one of mine, I hope!

    I doubt it, CFH!

Forgot the excellent lamp we had from there too. Some good DVDs too…

Must pop back again soon – although not in need of any children’s clothing, obviously!

I love his dress sense – I like to channel my inner Portillo when I can with a linen jacket or two and some brightly coloured trews. Can’t afford his range or tailor, sadly…

MrsJulianA is unsure about the yellow jacket / red trousers combination (I like) or the pink jacket / red trousers combo (I also like). I may be going out on my own more often if I sport these colour combinations.

Lovely tweed jacket from our local charity shop – couldn’t have been a better fit if MrsJulianA had bought it new for me.

She’s had a few clothes bargains too.

Don’t know where you can get that but we always take a four gang plug block and stick a two pin converter on it as hotel rooms are rarely very well supplied with sockets anyway.

Top one is argiope bruennichi I think. It’s the only spider whose scientific name I know!

I saw one in the south of England 20 years ago but haven’t seen one since. I think they are rather beautiful.

Very much doubt that the Golf will become a money pit… Why should it? We’ve found all our VAG cars to be excellent and very reliable.
