lets just say i’ve recently seen one @ dusk after a ride. Not going into any more detail as *some* logical science types will probably shoot me down.

had the same issue (well not really an issue just a preference) with a 90’s retro bike i’ve built up. didn’t fancy the long stretched feel – So i spun the ( non inline) seatpost around and moved the saddle foward on the rails. Bike now feels shorter than it should ( although it wouls still be acceptable stretched) and weight is nicely ove rthe front end. Got a nice big tyre upfront too and it rides so well.Fine climbing too. Also put some chunky Yeti grips on it too as it’s rigid and there’s a fair bit of weight distribution over the front. Also i do not put the saddle up that high.

maybe people don’t like changing lane or speed because of cruise control, although tbh i have no experience of such modern things..

i think i took 2 hours to pedal up, maybe more

that was mainly because of breaks though :-)

worst i’ve seen is a car reversing back down the motorway slip lane from halfway up. I was on a normal road at lights, before going around a roundabout as i passed 8O Fast flowing mway too.

i think to be fair if your car doesn’t have much power then a change from middle lane to outside can be a bit scary as it may be harder for the driver to judge a car’s speed when it’s approaching in the outside lane with no power if a hill approaches to pass the middle lane traffic and accelerate with a fast car approaching. However all that driver needs to do is stay in lane and slow down to the car infront. Not saying this applies to me, but just a thought.

i often drive at 65mph the motorway too and yes people zoom up behind you on the inside lane and overtake at the last possible chance. I think people are too lazy to use their mirrors / brains for lane changing.

Also why the hell when i am driving at the speed limit in a controlled average speed zone are a few cars flying through these sections at 70 to 80mph, despite cameras being in position and signs etc.

i know a bit about about some mtb bikes – but if you gave me a Raleigh chopper I may still have to ask some basic questions about things such as 3 spd hubs etc..Although i suppose knowing about mtbs would help me learn better. If just said of course i know about 3 spds hubs I’ve got a mtb then that would not be true.

thanks everyone. Yeah that’s seems to make sense ( i think) BigButSlimmer – although SMP etc are new to me.

I have been looking around and i tend to agree – a multi core processors although having two pipelines hopefully is regarding by Oracle as a single cpu.

i was thinking i may have run it differently somehow with a dual / multicore cpu, ( if that makes sense) – although i do not think this is true

    8 processors

i am nio expert but although i assume there’s a risk of being hit by a falling tree, i possibly would have thought heading for the trees makes more sense??? Rather tham being a lone statue on an open space.. Pls do not take this as advice though!!

there’s loads of bikes at paddington. Hundreds of them. I have never seen one with bent wheels etc…and i am sure they get left loads.
Do you think a bmx wheels with smaller wheels would be stronger. That seems the main vanidlism,..drunken people kicking the hell out of big wheels. You can also get locking dustcaps from the BRILLIANT halfords too for cars.. So 1 pack would do 2 bikes.

Go to amazon or a book store..and have a look at CBT. Cognitive Behvaoiural Therapy. Take it easy..

    Be easy on yourself..

Look at the postive as much as you can.

    One step at a time

It’s common so don’t feel like your the only one ( if that makes sense).

If you cannot face the bike.. Maybe a swim or soemthing…
Depends how deep it is.. go for a ride, soemthing else you enjoy etc etc..

Try a remove a sense of guilt..from particating in something you like..
