do you have a dry slope for skiing or snowbaording centre near you? I snowboard a little during the winter on dryslopes and can just arrive by myself and chat to people there. Second hand boards and gear is availbale cheap on ebay although its best to do some research and get some lessons. Great winter evening workout. It is best on dryslope when wet too. Gloves good enough for the dryslope are availble chaply at tkmaxx as are jackets ( alhough i wear jeans and a normal non technical sports jacket) . Good adrenalin buzz. Also you'll need some pads and possibly a pisspot helmet.
People buy boards and boots, use them for a week in the mtns and then sell them. They may only be mid range but that's fine.Seroiusly I find it as spiritual as winter night rides! Once you learn to carve and have a bit of experience you will find that you use your all the core muscle groups esp your stomach muscle and legs. And you get a good adrenalin buzz and a nice calm feeling!!
I love reading the posts and the comments and love the bike and riding pics!
Has helped me no end technically with bike know how and also life stuff. :D

Listened to album.
Rode my bmx locally for a blast.

Forks, followed by rims. Personally I wouldn't worry about cranks too much.
And maybe tyres If they are heavy dh ones. Have a look at Halo Knobblers. Love mine, quite light and cheap. Look at wiggle, chainreactionccyles and ukbikestore.
the other day I made a self protection weapon when I had trouble with the neighbours from a can of baked beans in a ski sock. :D It was just in case anyone tried to break in.
the BIG bike is indeed probably very big ( in travel terms) and the rider is relatively small in human height terms but big in bravery terms. It is Josh(ua) Bender with one of his huck bikes.
