I used to love going for 1,5 hour blasts around canford heath in bournemouth. Really good fun and easy to find your way around. There's even some scary chutes and short descents at the far end and a huge and mean huge bombhole area ( used to have jumps there too)

I witnessed an incrediable event in January. Riding back from the shops early evening and there were 3 guys staring into the sky. Had been continual local newspaper stories all through December of sightings. Anyway what i saw was a large ball of light the keep scanning the sky back and forth quite low. It kept getting larger and smaller which i think was because it was rapidly moving back and forth over two areas of woodland. Then it rose in the sky and started moving erratically jiggling around. It then just cruized off low in the sky and was gone. There's been loads of similar sightings since, many of which are on you tube.

I should add that I thought I had saw another one a few weeks ago. It was a bright slowly moving light the moved constantly and slowly with then just dropped. This i am certain was a chinese latern that are set of from a point near me.

It's a riot to ride on freeridey places, where I endure the ups for the downs. Low bb slackish ha and short backend. I have added a dual chainring for climbing as it as originally single only. It is built for strength for out and out xc and a faster paced rides it is not ideal. But for blasting and having a whole heap of fun ( with jumps etc thrown in) it is superb! There;'s no reason why I couldn't remove the dh bars and cranks etc and run it a whole lot lighter.Only minus is the back is harsh as it is very stiff alloy but i just let the front end do the work

I've seen some FMX today. Now they get serious air! Youtube FMX or X fighters if you are not sure what I mean. MX racing looks real cool too!

I'd possibly upskill for the when the economy turns and use a tent for campng possibly riding duties. ENJOY YOUR FREEDOM

Quite an experienced rider myself, When I tried spd's I wouldn't leave the fireroads!

Just ride what you can and enjoy it. Try different rides/ solo/ group etc to see where your preferences lie. Do not be dishearted if you don't enjoy an aspect. Just try something else you feel comfortable with.
