if say you were a medium size normally the addition of say single speeding (or riding a heavy bike etc where strength is req'd) could easily make you a large and a larger trouser size through increased muscle mass. Some people class this as being 'fat'. Same as some call bodybuilders 'fat' (when clothed) just because they are often very bulky with extra muscle. typicaaly these people have never been in a gym, so do not understand. they typically think thin is fit. However I do see the OP's point.Surely though it's why many get a bike and we should encourage everyone too ride, if they're interested. One of the beauties of cycling is it is accessable to all.

love my small 06 model. Feels like a bmx with 6 inches of travel. Run pikes on mine.it's very confidence inspiring, stable at speed and chuckable!

i've ridden 4 dh courses (1 very badly)on a ht with 140mm forks. It is doable but very harsh on the body. Also i found that the faster you go the smoother it can be, although you can reach a point where you can almost be out of control and riding on the edge (as the bike is skipping around under you loads) It's brilliant for skills improvement tho and good fun.

That vid is super impressive. He seems so smooth, although that is proabably not true, it's just his pure skill carries him though.

why the hell would you bring a lawsuit against swinley??

If you crash it's your fault. Granted someone may crash into you, but that's part of the deal.

If it wasn't for the high revving engine and triple clamps i would have passed it off as me not being very observant and it being some kind of motorbike.Unless it was a petrol type version of that electric motorbike that used mtb components ie zocchi forks iirc and hydro brakes etc.

from what i saw of it it looked like a regular bike. my guess is it had some kind of small petrol engine strapped on. Maybe some kind of kit.

the diamond back probably has a cup and loose caged bearing bottom bracket. Very easy to fix. You can get new cups if required and bearing's ( in a cage ) for about £10 online or at a shop. Alternatively new bearings alone( in a cage )are a couple of quid from halfords. Just lossen bolts and hammer the ring with a screwdedriver to take apart. New cups ( if required ie split or worn) can be hammer out / in with a socket set extension / hammer and wooden drift. Halfords also do cheap taya chains for BMX's that'll fit yours. If the tyres have had it you can get cheap ok ones from JJB sports ( i got kenda's street tyres for my skip rebuild) or online should you have a local branch. Personally I'd keep the front brake on unless the back is really good (which i doubt)

Not topo sure how to fix the rear hub. May need a wheel?? From a tip?? As it a dimanond back you may be able to get new cones / freewheel etc.

If the giro ( brake system ) does not work I'd just take it off and a run normal cable. The weight of the bike will be a good thing to as you will get better at putting the power down on mtb.

Bear in mind that you ok beginer bmx's off ebay cheaply so I wouldn't spend much on it

Cheap Pub / Shopping bmx's are ace 9 unless you have to cycle miles 😀
