mine weighs about 33lbs and evrything is full cromo.Mine fits nicely to and is isn’t too steep, which suits me. Like the heavy feel to it, although lighter is probably better.

work out what you want. Ride a few freinds bikes if possible, or shop bikes are see what your preferences are, trail bike/xc racebike/ etc and take it form there.look for value for money, ridablilty, upgrade prospects. If going cheaper get a bike with the same or similoiar frame ( maybe same geometry but different heavier materials) frame as a higher end model is always good.If expensive then more options. The frame is the most important item, followed by forks and wheels imho. Also one of the best criteria is fit, ie top tbe length and can be worked out through tech info of bikes and trying it to see if it feels RIGHT.If you cannot do any of this then you proably won’t go far wrong getting a bike ofF the bigger companies and reading mag reviews. Fit however is still important, so be prepared to put some thought into that however rough it maybe.Comapnies like on-one / cotic would be able to sort you out with a decent bike and offer you sizing advice etctoo.IMHO

love the british climate. Although I appreciate summer and dry trials I also like the challenge of winter riding. I love autumn too. Hotter summers equate to colder winters for other countries.

jeans, waterproofs or very long shorts to the ankle. I’ve just realized this afternoon on a ride my long shorts have a big hole under the crotch. Lots of cold air blasting up there. 😳

    is it a hecker Cynical?

one of the shock bolts was not really tight, so I am guessing that alloy top hat has been turning and thus has worn, creating the play.

It seems to be the top hat that’s worn.Is this a major problem?

Not getting rotation between the nut and top hat, the top hat is locked into the bush with no play at all.(However there’s movement between the top hat’s inner hole and the bolt) ( Tiny amount though).

    Cheers guys.

i really like this. not sure how strong it is but I think they’re Greman and have only read positive reviews about the brand in general – for that price you could source a coil shock too. TBH I think that the brand overbuilds it’s designs too, although I guess it would be weighty.

    This comes with a coil

that’s more like it handyman. Awesome too. I am thinking of running two skis’s at the front and back, next to eachother.recon it would ride nicely? The other option is to run the skis apart by a few inches, like a quad!

don’t forget Shauns Black Grape (awesome) album – not just Pills, Thrills and BellyAches.Wasn’t expecting him to be such a nice guy, although anyone who’s best mates with Bez must be sound.

been researching making one of these since the OP’s original post a while back – you can also use skateboard trucks to connect the ski’s to the frame or use a snowboard too.youtube ‘snowbike’ for some videos.

Do you think it would be a good idea for run two ski’s at the front and two at the back, right next to eachother thus spreading the load on softer snow?
