thanks. Main reason for length of board theory is the stance I like and ease of turning, with the given sidecut. Also it’s nice the have something that can be spun at the park. Also I am learning to ride switch.

i think people probably only ride the xc trial in bodyarmour, beacuse they have proabably gone for the dh and fancy a change, for a couple of runs.

cheers. At the moment I ride a 145 on the dryslope and have gone up a size to a 150 on this board, which will be a snow only holiday board. ( not a season board).Just figured if I am slightly heavier
the board may not ride well. The 145 comes up to my nose, so i figured a 150 up to my eyes would be fine.

    Cheers

I lost a new topeak panoram computer when it catulapted into the canal after coming down a bridge.

Lost my ACE!! snowboard mitts… during a dryslope session somehow..

Lost a Kool Tool (snowboard tool) whilst snowboarding in the UK in last years snow.

Really fustrating…I make a rule of never leaving anything on the car roof post ride and always checking before I leave anywhere, which helps.

For you Oakleys guys .. get a neck strap for your shades. Ski shops should sell suitable ones.

sids would probably be fine for xc riding over mxc’s which are pretty weighty.Sorry just re read OP.

been boarding for years (17 yrs) and would always recommend getting your own. 🙂

OR hiring from a decent UK store and getting something decent and taking it out.

MXC NOT mz. MXC are basic but decent forks built in marzocchis good days in italy. MXZ are cheap tiawan made by Suntour.

My mxc’s are still going still @ 80mm.

think mxc’s are iirc mx comps. same thing.

an old 2003ish marzocchi air mxc? If they are 100mm they can be reduced by spacers down to 80mm ( ukbikestore) Would be more robust than an old sid. Seen people using them on dirt jump bikes.

parked car in motorway service station car park. Came out car had gone. Told a Police officer who was in the carpark my car had gone. He pointed me in the direction of the car park on the other side of the motorway ( over the service stn bridge) – car found 🙄

seconded. It can be hard for many.Good to see people looking to revive an old product rather than just buy a new one.

had one done on my old steel sunn bike. Got it done at Roberts cycles in Croydon. Been fine. Chas Roberts is a well respected place to go, although I am sure other framebuilders will do this.

have you ever ridden a full face for normal riding? They aren’t the best.

jealousy not at all. I love astons. They are brilliant cars. Just very low and caught by the snow. For the same reason it has put me off lowering my car.

i saw an aston that couldn’t even move a flat road yesterday. It was not just wheelspinning but beached i think at the chassis.

i wonder if the powers delivered quite early in the rev range too , making it harder to drive slowly, although probably depends on the model.Although if this is the case then maybe people should use a higher gear, although the average driver may not be aware of this and keep spinning the wheels.

i saw one today struggle up a tiny incline. The lady driver was very good and carefully reversed it many times before eventually going forward. It’s not the BMW’s fault, just the choice of tyre.

you don’t have to spend £2k on a bike you know. If your careful in choice a cheaper one may be just as much fun.For example a Spesh pitch or on-one.

I personally would choose a FR rig if going down this route, although i think it’s a very personal choice.
