what is the red block on the live map, is it an exclusion zone to make race more exciting?

how do the foils respond in rough water?

Don’t Laugh, but Vauxhall Meriva 1.4 petrol. (07+)

Cheap to run, cheap to buy, and very cheap to repair.
Also massive in the back when seats are flat (I can fit my large gravel bike without removing the wheels.)

They are also generally rust free (well in Norfolk anyways..)

Keep us posted… I love a good high mileage vehicle thread!!!

    Thats a good question.

My advise is to tape them up and try.
Test them at low pressures, and test them at high pressures.

The concern is always that they accidentally “pop” off the rim whilst riding.

I have just ordered this in stead of panniers.

It has not arrived yet, but at £30-00, its worth a try…

I have one, I used it for Proprioception work, as well as pushup and squats (although I generally fall on my arse when doing squats on it.

    Hi Guys

    Thanks for all the responses.

I think I will pull the trigger on a set of hunt 4s 🙂

As a fisherman and a cyclist, this is something that really annoys me!!

    What is the solution?
I think, like mentioned above, the government and the retailers need to do more to educated the masses!!!

I challenged some teens recently over littering, and there response was “the council will be around in a minute to clear up, and we are creating jobs”

This made me really mad, I had to walk away, as I was finding it tough to keep my cool!!!!

I work as part of a facilities team on a large site.

We do a bike clear out on an annual basis, however, we give fair warning (6 weeks) and any bike removed are kept for a further 6 weeks (in case the owner comes looking)

In terms of locks, we send several site wide emails, and all (old and rusty locks) are labelled with a letter of intention.

To be fair, if someone suggested that I remove there lock accidentally, I would generally go-ahead and replace it as a gesture of good will anyhow, as £30-£60 for a new lock in terms of our budget is not a lot of money for us to absorb.

I think your facilities team needs a lesson in customer service and good will!!!!

I Hutchinson Overide Tubeless, fine them great for commuting/exploring, but enough grip for a bit of off road exploring. Also, surprisingly puncture resistant.

I just run a single Ortlieb pannier on my Gravel bike.

Tough, waterproof, and more than enough room.

I will be doing a 30day… possibly longer.

I don’t drink “that much” just not enjoying the vice that a few lagers at home on a weekend has on me..

I am 75kg’s and would run 35-45 tyres (tubeless)

I do occasional tour on the bike, so max all up weight would be 90kgs

Good point about the height, and come to think about it, most of the mould is at the higher levels.

    Hi All

    Thank you for the information.

I think I may improve ventilation at the front end, and mount a extractor van through the wall at the other end (above the dryer)

Any tips on the best place to purchase a vent fan?

Has anyone had any experience with the trainasone app, I have entered the Bungay Marathon (April 2020), and I am considering using this app as a training program.

I am reasonably fit, having run a 10k race last weekend (46mins) and I did an easy 20k yesterday without to many issues, so I should hopefully be ok for a 42k by April.

I paid 57 squid including new spokes and nipples.

Its NB to remember, that it is generally good practice to have the wheel re-tensioned at some point a few hundred miles down the road. Most good builders would generally do this for free. (I think)

I have a lovely Cannondale flash in the classifieds. Super comfy, as frame is designed to have a small amount of flex in stays.
I have done various multiple days races/rides and 24hour events on this bike.

This has been an interesting thread. I am in a similar position. I am currently in a job that is sometime very mundane, and the money is rubbish, and I have zero chances of promotion. However, its a great environment, lovely people and a nice 30min bicycle commute.

I am beginning to look for other jobs (as I need to earn more money, and develop my career), but I do know that my cycling to work will most likely come to an end..

Don’t laugh, but a Vauxhall Meriva/Zaffira they are cheap, and massive. They have the ability to fold one seat done, and keep on seat up in the back. I can fit my bicycle in the rear without removing wheels.

I live in Wymondham, just outside Norwich. Nice town, great schools, decent people. However, the riding is a bit flat and boaring.

I am just about to pull the trigger on a planet x full monty. £1000. Is it worth upgradeing the wheels for £150 to the fullcrum racing 700?

Any other advice before I buy this?
